Zombies who moan rather loudly unless they are lurkers who stand in place for prey so this thing just teleported there.

Zombie pirates. Zombie ninjas suffer from the same conservation of ninjitsu problem that bedevils the living, compounded by the tendency of zombies to form hordes, thus increasing the dilution of ninjitsu.

I think the real answer to the question is:

What the patheric humans most have to fear is zombie pirates and zombie ninjas working together.
