It's so odd to have such a small one again. Congratulations, Nevynxx, to you and your wife! I will pass on to the "wife", thank you. Once I've recovered a little sleep, we shall all be very happy.
Thank You!

Clearly it's some kind of British thing and is thus far too evolved for my simple American mind.
It's probably your gov't sanitising the web for you....
Try this last.fm link instead Mwahahahaha

Would playing in a PbP count as far as your contractual message board participation, or just be purely for fun?

There's a few places I'd rather be than pbp'ville, but I'd want all of you guys there with me. You're my mates. Peace, Heathy. Take it easy man. We'll keep the light on for you. Thanks Fatespinner, you've got that in my head now, so I needed to return the favour!
Get your head straight Heathy, and we'll see you back here in a flash.

Keep an eye on the PaizoCon UK website or the PaizoCon UK 2011 thread on this forum for further details.
Sorry! i obviously can't contain my excitement, and get *very* confused...

Have the chickens hatched though? You can't count them before they hatch!
Wintergreen wrote: Very kind of you to say that. Only volunteer GMs get to influence table assignment :D Oh, of course I'll be volunteering to DM, it a) reduces the cost, b) gives me a more concrete reason for the Mrs as to why I can't cancel at the last minute, and c) is just as much fun as the playing part!
Same as last year is my current plan, i.e. DM 1, play one Sat, DM 1 Sun... Play one Sunday too, depending on Travel arrangements...

@Wits: She is last on the initiative, so do you want to delay until she acts, or consider the attack in your next round?
@Dean: Have a proper action, you should have been able to see the creature for this round, so it's not right for you to just do nothing....
Luc's bolt hits the creature, but it doesn't seem to do much damage. Reynard's hit affects it more, but still doesn't seem to damage it as much as you would expect.

Just to put my order in, I would *love* to be in a game you run again Dave. Among the Dead is one of my favourite gaming experiences to date...
I'm entirely with you on this one Joana.

But full-fledged musicals? Worse than fire cancer.
I was hoping you wouldn't (but kind of thought you may) say that.
I can only pity the both of you.
After having said that, have you seen the first three of Baz Luhrmann's films? Or This...
Dear James,
I have a good friend who "can't" watch any film "with singing in it".
How should I best deal with this abhorrent personality quirk?

Failing that, there are a surprising amount of game shops we can point you at for such a small country. Last but not least, Waterstones carry a good amount of the Paizo line.
:D
I had a similar problem with the APG today, ordered last week from UK book seller using Christmas Vouchers, and it was on "Usually ships in 1-2 days" still hadn't shipped today, they claimed no stock, and don't know when to expect more, then 2 hours after I tweet whining about it, it miraculously ships.....
Odd, but I'm happy. ;)

And so on. You forgot one. I was paraphrasing the outline from memory. There is a lust spell in UM. Sounds like some perfect spells for Runelords ;)

Well, I'd say the wizard can keep right on detecting traps, until he runs out of hit points. He just doesn't detect them in any way that prevents them from hurting him ;)
I'd err on the side of "If the party is lacking a "role" and the DM doesn't adapt to that, then the DM sucks" though....
I'm not saying he should remove things that will be a lot harder without that role, but he should be making sure challenges are possible to defeat.

I'm pretty sure most FLGS owners wouldn't take much notice of you copying a stat block or two out in the shop now and again. Of course, if you manage to get the whole book that way, I'd say you deserve a free copy on general principle... :)
My Face2Face group meets once per month. We've had enough scheduling conflicts recently that we haven't played since September, and won't until Feb...
I try to keep all pertinant info on Obsidian Portal but getting them to glance at it every now and then is quite the difficult task...
Something that's been niggling at me about this thread.
The book states at least a dozen times that the NPCs are to show two things:
1) How to pick skills etc to create NPCs of a specific type that are "memorable"
2) To give a list of stat blocks to cover a wide range of levels to be used in a pinch.
It couldn't be more clear on the fact that these stat blocks show only one way to create that prostitute, or dealer, or cobbler or king...

Yet again Mr Moffett uses time travel, not just to get *to* the story, but as *part of* the story. Beautifully done. Brilliant episode.

My family are getting accustomed now to arranging their July around when PaizoCon is not the other way round... ;)
Which is closest to when it was last year? Do either of those clash with anything random?

I don't mean this in any sort of disrespectful way, although I can see how you could take it that way. I'm British and took a good long time from getting into film, to realising there even was a British film industry... Dogma is an American film, perhaps James can mentally swap in This Is England. Dogma was probably a bad example. I just took a few from the Film4 productions listing on Wikipedia The Dogma page certainly cites it as a US film with no mention of Film4, and the Film4 productions listing could indeed be incorrect.
The others I'm sure about though ;)

I hate that phenomenon. Major respect for films that make darkness dark. Fight club was good on that. Know any others, James? There's a lot of films who use night-vision as a way to show us what's going on in utter darkness: Apparently Tron:Legacy will be very good on this score.
