I'll answer that specific question later, but you'll be needing to create a character of equal level to the rest, so 2nd, or possibly 3rd depending on a few things.... Use the wealth by level chart to work out how much you should have... Kratzee wrote:
I can actually see a place for a Magus actually. I'd put less emphesis on the spell prep (just use the mechanics) but the fact that his weapons selection emphasises light, one handed weapons, leads to the right kind of feel I think.... Javell DeLeon wrote:
I can't see any reason why you shouldn't be able to craft weapons, magical or otherwise. I don't aim to make this "low magic" in anything other than flavour. I'm not restricting things from core, as it just becomes too much work. I may be tempted to say that guns require a separate crafting feat, but I'll make sure that's available when/or soon after I introduce the first firearms. I'm not out to make the enemy have things you can't. Spoiler for burnt offerings PF#1:
The book reads as much like a bestiary of the world’s most horrific and cruel monsters (along with numerous woodcut illustrations of how they kill) as it does a religious text. The book is worth 100 gp. So I'd say 100gp is fine for Golrion, possibly less since that one is quite religiously significant... James Jacobs wrote:
I do have to wonder how long it is going to take people to realise the pleasure that you get from witholding that little snippet. Following your every post via RSS as I do, I've seen that response evolve from "We don't know, although some of the Gods might" a few years ago, to this current incarnation, with the sound of "Mwahahahaha" getting louder in the background all the time... With the Jade Regent AP, will Ameiko be getting re-illustrated? In some ways I quite like the picture of her in AP1, but at the same time, you've said many times (and lots of people fumed) that the art was not what you wanted, but what you had to accept at the time. How would you picture her this time (i.e what would the art order be?) Joana wrote:
Ah, yes! All becomes clear. ;) While you are making these decisions.... At some point, contrary to how the AP is designed, you'll be coming across more and more constructs... Thanks Ith. It's more the act of getting behind though. My problem seems to be that by the time I'm around the back of something, someone else has already killed it ;) It could just be that I've not been in that many combats up to now, and most of them have been in big open terrain, so the movement aspect has been harder than it should be. As it is, this turn I'll get a single attack, next turn I should get a single attack (with a tumble behind it), next turn, if the troll is still there, I should get a full attack, all sneaky....So it's not quite as bad as I made out.... :) I'm going to stop editing posts.... Ok, that worked out, I'll change my action, then put the computer down, Camlo will fly in, stab the Northern most troll with his rapier, and hope to all hell that someone else intervenes soon enough to stop him getting squished.... Keep the rolls above though, the mods are all the same, I'm not worried about the difference between at d3 and a d4... Aubrey the Demented/Malformed wrote: They are flat-footed, since you go first in the initiative order. Oh, ok, in that case, that bolt hit the Northernmost one ;) For some reason, I always thought flat-footed only worked in the surprise round. I seem to get something wrong with every single action in this game...Hopefully some of the mistakes are sinking in and I'm getting better ;) James Jacobs wrote: Note that "getting started on the writing" does not mean "I will be the author of the first adventure in Jade Regent." I do certainly HOPE to be that author, but if I can't pull it off I'll have to farm it out to someone else. We'll know for sure soon enough. Well, I shall keep on hoping then. That said, I'm hoping to subscribe for Carrion Crown, that sounds way too good not to, too. James Jacobs wrote:

UK average is between 7 and 8 lbs.... Our two so far have been in that range, I think... So a 6lb is a little smaller than average, but also, a little early, when they spend most of the last 3 months putting on fat, so probably pretty damned good. To think, once I was just a geek about physics and computers <weep /> Studpuffin wrote: Dang, that's really personal. :D Does it help that the question comes from personal experience? The other would be, "Have you ever found out, after a person has moved on in life, that they fancied you but never said anything? Was that person of the opposite sexual persuasion to you." Now that one leads to some awkward situations. James Jacobs wrote:
This confirms beyond any doubt that Jade Regent will be complete, total "WIN". Burnt offerings is my favourite adventure ever. Come hell or high water, I'll be subscribing again for that. As questions are compulsory for this thread James, have you ever been berated by a possible love interest for not making a move when one was expected, despite your not noticing *at all*? I'm not sure, and can't really be bothered checking, if I've mentioned this before or not. But I keep some notes for myself on Obsidian portal.. You've learned a lot of pretty interesting things recently, and it may be good to stick them there as notes for future reference. If you need any help signing up, and getting attached to the site, let me know. Don't feel you have to! It's just easy to forget things in pbps as they run so very very long! Sean K Reynolds wrote: To quote myself in another advice thread: Prove me wrong. I want you to prove me wrong. I've been thinking for a few days now. Next year it would be very cool, to have a round that is "This is the list of Sean's rules. Pick one, and break it. Show which rule you break, and how, and why." Obviously, you'd probably want to tweak the rules list a little bit. It could make for an interesting challenge... That so needs to be staged, and posted to youtube. Black Dow wrote: but like I said when you get stung it is a pain. Lol, it isn't getting stung when you *should* be paying it on every order! Be thankful you aren't paying the US sales tax a well (I think). Out of interest, if you buy reaper minis in £ on the website, do they still ship from the US and so would they still incur those andling fees and added VAT? Vic Wertz wrote: Black Dow's advice about import duties is good, though—you might want to check that out on your end before you order. We declare them as "Toys/Figures" for customs purposes. For the UK, that duty, is simply VAT, charged at the normal rate. Usually with a small (ish) handling fee on top. To be completely within the law, you should be declaring, and paying this VAT on any thing you import. Most of the time with Paizo though you never notice, as paying the zero% VAT rate on books is quite automatic ;) Tensor wrote:
Technically two things, just because they both have "relativity" in the name, doesn't mean they are the same thing, or indeed, entirely related... <pedantic Physicist with no sense of humour mode> He did in fact do a lot of other things that helped with our understanding of QM, even though he was trying to prove it wrong. Javell DeLeon wrote: Hey Nevynxxx, IT is third in intiative, do I need to go ahead and post like the others or should I wait until IT's acted? Ah, yes, post your action pretty much as soon as you can, I'm not worried about actions being posted in order, I only post up the next init to jog pople if they haven't posted yet. It gets a bit complex at times, but keeps the flow going. 'Dean' Ninian Beard wrote:
Sorry, should have mentioned that. They are wooden slats, probably covering something in the floor, but you don't have time to look too closely, unless you want to spend an action, and a perception check. They won't provide cover. The light source assumption is good, unless everyone else hides in the corridor like scared kittens...Did I mention this is a full round, not a surprise one? Just in case it matters. Glad to have you! Go for your life... I have to attachment to the icons ;) Just to be clear though, if the original players want to return, that wont be a problem! Casts Resurrect.... Hi Folks. I wanted to apologise properly for my disappearing act!. I spent the 4 days in London, then got back to the busiest week of the year at work, and haven't actually spent any time in my office in nearly two weeks. Who's have thought opening a retail outlet could get so complex! I'm about to post in the main thread. We are out of combat, and this room is exhausted. We are now down two Players, but we also have two volunteers to run their PCs. Probably this will work until you leave this dungeon, then the PCs will either retire, and be replaced, or keep on under the new players, at their discretion. So, please welcome Joana and Javell! More space always good, and I didn't find the split a problem. That said, as a sociable chap, all being in one room is best if possible. I'd rate space above less rooms though if I had to.
