Standing at 5'11'' and weighing in at 180Ibs, Narses is a skinny man. Muscles and tendons are evident on his body as he has hardly an ounce of fat. His hooked nose apears to have been broken several times and an ugly scar runs from his forehead, through his bushy eyebrows and over one of his small eyes, down his left cheek to his jawline. His graying hair is obvious on his face as he keeps a rather unkempt mustache but only a small patch of hair on the top of his head, braided back to his shoulders.
His gear looks well used but well cared for. Selected for efficency of use rather than any coherent style. A fine taldan brestplate over oft repaired hunters leathers. A wickedly sharp battleaxe on a hardend leather leash with bits of fur still on it.

Narse's life has been long and tough. Growing up on the borders of the Verduran forest in northern Taldor he spent his youth traveling and hunting with his father. One day when hunting goblins, the tables turned. The hunters became the hunted as the goblins, led by a particularly cunning warlord, laid a trap for them. They were captured and his father killed.
Narses barely escaped with his life but swore revenge on the goblins, becoming a forest shadow he hunted and killed many goblins before finding the warlords lair. Killing the goblin warlord only left Narses hollow, the revenge brought him no satisfaction. After killing his fathers murderer Narses was left without direction. He turned to drink.
Wandering between barroom brawls he eventually encounterd a priest of Erastil who managed to sober him up with a renewed purpose in the service of Erastil. Protecting the human fronteers from the many dangers of the wilds.
At this point he joined up with a band of adventurers tasked with slaying an ogre king rallying hobgoblins and goblins to his banner. Finding a usefull outlett for his skills at hunting and killing for a greater good of humanity has filled Narses with a purpose for continuing his life and he has foresworn drink for it's sake.

Narses is a man hardend by experience. His language is as course as his manners. Forsaking cutlery for quickness in eating, cursing and spitting through his teeth.
Although his manner is course, his heart is gentle and well meaning.
