NPC Hranos's page

Hranos is a large young man with light blond hair that shows signs of premature gray. He stands well over six feet tall with a strong build from years of farm labor. His speech is hampered by a slight stutter that becomes more pronounced with excitement. As a result he is not confident in conversation and tends to be withdrawn.
Just outside the city of Menske, the owner of the farm on which Hranos was raised recruited several of the stronger boys as a company of soldiers. They were equiped and trained to serve as footmen against the elves of the Green Forrest but, in fact, were more of a show of his wealth than anything else. The lord aspired to be enobled one day and saw this as a step toward that goal. However, the nobles of countryside saw this as an affront and ordered this company of soldiers to be disbanded in a humiliating public spectacle. To add insult, it was commanded that all members be allowed to keep their arms. This way their presence would remind all who saw them of the farm-owner's failed bid for enoblement.

Hranos has no desire to return to farm toil and now looks for a means to support himself by his sword-arm. Now that magic moves the plow and turns the millstonfe farmhands like him are not be able to command much coin for a day's labor. Hranos wants to experience the wilds of the world before they are tamed and the elements harnessed for good.
