I'm assuming Swire let us know about the five essence vials?

Let's just assume someone saw him find them and took them, because otherwise he's just pawning them back in Sigil.

Swire frowns. "Sod it, I'll meet the rest of you back at the Rose. I'm not spending my time guarding a bunch of berks..." At that, Swire stalks off.

Male Human Rogue 6

Swire joins Merle in searching the rubble.

Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14

Male Human Rogue 6

DM:
Yeah, he's ready. I just haven't totaled up how much gold he has to spare. Introduce him at will.

Swire continues to gag as he stumbles away from the dretch.

5 foot step to I8.

Male Human Rogue 6

Fort: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

Male Human Rogue 6

Snarling, Swire stabs savagely into the khaasta's side.

Attacking with flanking: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (8) + 11 = 191d6 + 3d6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + (5, 5, 4) + 2 = 20 Plus 3 bleeding damage from my sneak attack and 1 from my rapier.

Sooooo... now I have them, what the hell do I do with them? Maybe if I take off and have Justin drop a mega uber fireball of death into them? They stay captivated for one round after I stop singing, so if I double move then I could be away before he drops it?.

Well, assuming they're all on the roof(or on the floor below if Justin's spell does enough damage to blast through the roof) that would work. So, you do that then the rest of us kill our way to the now-scorched top?

OK, Bethany has neutralized the ballista. You guys are facing a seige situation though. Actions??

Is there a door/window? The kind any proper knight could open one way or another? I open that, someone else goes in first, then we kill our way to the top.

Male Human Rogue 6

Still chasing them.

Male Human Rogue 6

Reflex: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (17) + 9 = 26

Male Human Rogue 6

Meanwhile, Swire doesn't really care what Isaac is promising. He's just going to tear someone open.

Move, then attack: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (12) + 11 = 231d6 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8

"So, tell them to hand over the goods or we'll slit all their sodding throats? I can do that." Swire smiles unpleasantly and draws his rapier.

I'll just stand near the front of the group. Either they come close enough for me to intimidate them, or they get blown up by Ekuur and I'm close enough to stab them.

Male Human Rogue 6

Finally updated my sheet.

Swire moves closer and fires a bolt at the khaasta.

They're flat-footed until they act, right? I any case, move 30 feet closer, draw my hand crossbow and fire from at least one increment away: 1d20 + 9 - 2 ⇒ (19) + 9 - 2 = 261d4 + 3d6 ⇒ (2) + (4, 2, 5) = 13

Justin Case wrote:
"Hm. Tastes like chicken. Who knew?"

"No, it tastes like beetle. Nothing tastes like chicken." Apparently the shrieking of today's foe put Swire in a foul mood. Or at least a more-talkative one.

For my rogue talent, Weapon Focus(Rapier). I'll update the rest in the morning.

Male Human Rogue 6

1d6 ⇒ 5

Also, I have no way of making this guy flatfooted at range, so only 1d4 damage from me until I run out of bolts. It's been a pleasure knowing all of you.

EDIT: I swear, that roll used to be a five. Something weird's going on here.

Male Human Rogue 6

I'll move to G26 and draw my hand crossbow. Will: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 18

Male Human Rogue 6

Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21

EDIT: Knowledge(Local): 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (17) + 10 = 27

"Don't look now, but the natives are getting curious." Swire tilts his head up towards the branches above the party's head as he slips the ruby ring onto his finger.

Officially claiming the Lockpicking Ring, since I don't think here knows how to pick locks.

MIC 114 according to my notes

Like I edited in above, I was looking for the "Ring of Lockpicking" when it was actually called the "Lockpicking Ring".

Male Human Rogue 6
Isaac wrote:
I've never heard of Dimension Stride Boots or the Ring of Adamantine Touch, either.

Fortunately I have a copy of the MIC nearby.

Ring of Adamantine Touch:
When wearing this ring, your melee attacks(whether natural or with weapons) count as adamantine for damage reduction.

Ring of Mystic Fire:
Provides a boost to your fire-based spells. When casting spells with the fire descriptor, gain a +1 competence bonus to caster level. Also, the ring has three charges per day renewed each day at dawn. Spend charges to increase damage of next fire spell. (1: +2d6, 2: +3d6. 3: +4d6)

Dimension Stride Boots:
+2 bonus on Jump checks. This is continuous. Also, five charges per day, spend charges to teleport a short distance. Must have line of sight and effect to destination, can't bring other creatures with you. (1: 20ft, 3: 40ft, 5: 60ft)

Gauntlets of Eldritch Fire:
When you activate these gauntlets, your next eldritch blast does fire damage

I can't find the Ring of Lock-Picking anywhere, which is odd because I know I've seen something like it before. EDIT: Wait, did you mean the Lockpicking Ring? (+5 to Open Lock checks, can use Knock once per day)

Anyway, I'll take the Lockpicking Ring and possibly the +2 Leather Armor, if no one else wants it.

Male Human Rogue 6

Swire steps around Justin and pockets a piece of the shell before stripping the corpse of it's valuables. "What? This berk ain't going to be needing it."

Male Human Rogue 6

Move to flanking position, attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 171d6 + 3d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + (4, 2, 3) + 1 = 11

Male Human Rogue 6

I thought the damage was just doubled. No harm done. 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Dexterity, Acrobatics: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 231d20 + 12 ⇒ (9) + 12 = 21

"Right now, I'd say we're going to break it over our knee and toss it to the winds. Of course, I'm just saying that. Ask me later, I might say something different, maybe I won't."

Male Human Rogue 6

Sense Motive on that oath: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11

After an almost-impolite amount of time, Swire sits down to eat.

"Of course you will." Swire smirks slightly as he cuts into his meat.

DM:
I wouldn't happen to be carrying one of those vials of beauty we looted from the khaasta the first time? I'm pretty sure either me or Merle is carrying one, but I never did remember to note it on my sheet that I picked it up. After all, we picked up two way back when.

Male Human Rogue 6

"Mr Swire.", the knight responds curtly as he stands with his back to the wall, wondering who in their right mind invites random strangers into their home and serves them drinks.

Knowledge(Local), this kind of guy has to be talked about, right? Also, Sense Motive, does he seem like the type to slip poison into his drink for test subjects? 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (10) + 10 = 201d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15

Male Human Rogue 6

Swire tears into the meal like a man who doesn't know when is next meal will be, eying the elves Isaac talks to suspiciously. Fellow travelers are always worth noting and never worth trusting. Then again, that applies to everyone.

Knowledge(Local), can I tell anything about these elves? (Hey, it's worth a shot.) 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (12) + 10 = 22

OK, I'm gonna say it. Ain't no one gonna search these wankers? I will advance the storyline then ..

They're dretchs! We're lucky if they're wearing loincloths! I'm the stereotypical Taker, and I'm not going to try finding which crevasse they hid their valuables in. Also, isn't Ekuur still casting Create Food and Drink every day?

Swire continues to scowl. "Another nice little burg we got here. I'll be at the inn, they'll know if the lizards went through here."

Isaac wrote:
Since Swire goes before Isaac, but I'm posting first, I'm gonna assume he'll want to step over and set up a flank on the closest one in square m19?

[ooc]No where else to go without provoking an AoO, so yes. Also, delaying until after Isaac to get a flank.

Swire draws his rapier and lunges at the dretch, stabbing viciously.

Move to m19, draw rapier along the way, and attack: 1d20 + 8 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 8 + 2 = 181d6 + 3d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + (2, 1, 1) + 1 = 7

If Isaac's attack killed it, move to P17 instead.

Male Human Rogue 6

Since no one rolled initiative yet: 1d20 ⇒ 6

Swire reaches into his cloak and pulls out a thin sliver of red metal and throws it at the oncoming dretches.

Throwing Heartseeker at the closest one: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 181d4 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

Male Human Rogue 6

Swire stands to the side and polishes his chipped cold iron dagger.

Male Human Rogue 6

"Could just knock them out. They won't like it when they wake up, but htis is just sodding embarrassing."

Male Human Rogue 6

Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9

Sodding berks..." Swire shakes his head at Isaac's declaration of love and turns to leave before he gets dragged into the fight, grabbing a coinpurse from a nearby passer-by.

Slight of Hand: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (12) + 11 = 23

Male Human Rogue 6

"Cozy little burg, eh?" Swire smiles unpleasantly and stalks after the others looking for the commotion, palming a dagger as he goes.

Perception, and Slight of Hand to hide the dagger: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 131d20 + 11 ⇒ (6) + 11 = 17

Male Human Rogue 6

Swire's hand edges towards his rapier. It may only be bravado, but he hasn't survived this long by letting people boss him around.

Male Human Rogue 6

"Don't want them crawling out in the night and eating our kit. Let's deal with them now."

Male Human Rogue 6

Yep. The things I do for a sneak attack.

Male Human Rogue 6

Swire lets his crossbow drop to the ground and moves towards the rust monster, taking out a shiny copper piece as he goes. "Come on you little bastard, look at the shiny coin..."

Move to I26 and feint(It's Sense Motive is +1): 1d20 + 10 - 8 ⇒ (12) + 10 - 8 = 14

Male Human Rogue 6

Swire draws his hand crossbow and fires a shot, not willing to get any closer to the rust monster just yet.

1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 171d4 ⇒ 2

Male Human Rogue 6

Swire sheathes his rapier and takes out his sap.

Male Human Rogue 6

Swire silently slips his stiletto back in it's sheathe and stands up, rapier at the ready.
