Furious Focus negates the penalty on the first attack of a round.

No, I mean the damage bonus. It should go from +13 to +28 (not +25, i.e. 13+15=28).

Quick question. How did you get your Dex to 18? I'm assuming you put the 17 into it and it looks like you spent all your stat raises on Str to get it to 24 so it cannot come from there.

The 'roll three times and take the middle value' does have precedence in Pathfinder. Namely in some of the abilities/items associated with Magdh. The Rod of the Thriceborn and Threefold Sight spring to mind.

There's something somewhere (which I can't find right now, but I'm fairly sure the example was Fighter Weapon Training or Armour Training) that talks about getting delayed versions of class abilities if an earlier one is replaced, which would give the Monk Evasion instead of Improved Evasion

This?

Quote:
If an archetype replaces a class feature that is part of a series of improvements or additions to a base ability (such as a fighter’s weapon training or a ranger’s favored enemy), the next time the character would gain that ability, it counts as the lower-level ability that was replaced by the archetype. In effect, all abilities in that series are delayed until the next time the class improves that ability. For example, if an archetype replaces a rogue’s +2d6 sneak attack bonus at 3rd level, when she reaches 5th level and gains a sneak attack bonus, her sneak attack doesn’t jump from +1d6 to +3d6—it improves to +2d6, just as if she had finally gained the increase at 3rd level. This adjustment continues for every level at which her sneak attack would improve, until at 19th level she has +9d6 instead of the +10d6 of a standard rogue.

From here (https://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/class-archetypes/) under Archetype "Stacking"

Granted it's a different system (with slightly different effects), but the 3.5 version of Cleave specifically stated that it is 'an extra melee attack' and 'is with the same weapon that dropped the previous creature'.

I guess you could take a couple of levels of rogue to qualify for the Extra Rogue Talent feat.

But in the specific monster description, no such limitation appears:

You also need to refer to the breath weapon entry in the general rules for true dragons: http://www.d20pfsrd.com/bestiary/monster-listings/dragons/dragon/ 'A dragon can use its breath weapon once every 1d4 rounds, even if it possesses more than one breath weapon.'

Those last posts of mine were made after a 'few' pints with some mates. It's a wonder they make any kind of sense as I don't even remember posting them.

That's great Redelia.

Hmm. Just tried a brand new character and it works as expected (points are spent, warning pops up).

So my best guess is that I'm modifying a character built with a previous beta version and something in that screws up a bit.

If that is true, definitely a bug NOT worth investigating or fixing :-) (yes, I write S/W. How can you tell? :-) )

Sorry, #I should of asked that!. If it working then that is go to know.

pauljathome wrote:

Nope.

Note that I am using the standard build, it thinks that I have spent 0 points, and I'm well over the maximum.

That's strange! It's not something I can recreate. I assume that you are using the Starfinder dataset that comes with PCGen 6.07.04 and haven't installed the old standalone dataset?

One bug. When I select "10 stat points" (the SFS assumption) it doesn't actually count the stat points. Pretty minor issue but ...

Do you not have the following options?

Selection
and
Points
Which if exceeded gives the following message.
Warning

Thanks for the feedback.

I think I've found a bug - Armor from the inventory does not appear to go to the Armor blocks on the character sheet (at least for Second Skin)

Silly question, but have you actually equipped the armor? Next to the Purchase tab there is an 'Equipment' tab where you can equip the gear that you have purchased.

Does a synthesist change size if he synthesizes with an eidolon of a larger size? E.G if a halfing synthesist synthesises with a medium eidolon does he become a medium creature?

Will the races that are not in the Core Rule Book be added? Like the ones in First Contact?

That's the plan - once everything in the Core Rule Book is working.

Still not seeing the operative edge insight bonus to skills being added. Is there a toggle or a box I need to check to get this?

Version 1.06 is out - which fixes that issue:

Ok, then the problem is with my understanding.

For example, If I have an Operative with a Dex:16 and one skill rank in acrobatics, what should my skill modifier be?

I thought: +1 (rank) +3 (dex) +3 (class skill) +1 (operative edge) = +8

PcGen V1.06 gives me a skill modifier of +7

You are right, you should be getting a +8 bonus. I've just tried this myself and I am getting the +8. See screenshot. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0ByA87Lxq4qA_RnFGVVVTa29XVGM/view?usp=shari ng

Possibly Silly Question, but is there an easy way to know where to put the data folders? I haven't used PCGen in a queen's age.

hmm i installed the starfinder data files it says there there but starfinder is not showing up in the app?

when through loading source but it was not in the list ..hmmm

Try the following

On the Select Sources window, follow the steps below:
1. Click on the Advanced Tab.
2. Click on the down arrow on the 'Game' drop down menu and select Starfinder
3. Click the 'Add Selected' button
4. Click the 'Load' button

Another possible typo: The Aquatic Bloodrager Bloodline has the bonus feat Skill Focus (Fly) - should this be Skill Focus (Swim)?

According to page 56 a common hippocampus weighs 1,000 lbs and a combat-trained hippocampus weighs 1,300 lbs.

There also appears the be a problem with the weights of the two metamagic rods (murky and steam). The first has no weight given and the second has a weight of 1. All other (as far as I can tell) metamagic rods in the game have a weight of 5.

I've noticed that no statistic is mentioned for the Save DCs for its Forest Magic ability. Given that this is a series of spell-like abilities should we use CHA? It could be argued, that given its nature that maybe is should be WIS based.

The correct 3.5e D&D link for the PC Lich template is here.

There is also a D&D 3.5 Mob template that may give you some ideas.

I always liked the Voyager Star Trek, being thrown into a totally unknown place, nothing familiar and having to spend years trying to get back.

I know it wouldn't work well trying to port into other Campaing Settings, but I think that an Adventure Path that teleports/sends 1st-level characters to the other side of their planet would be a cool idea.
New cultures, lands, magic. monsters , etc.

I know this isn't really a plot but an iteresting situation to place characters in.

Thoughts?

In a way it's been done - by Dragon magazine's 'Voyage of the Princess Ark' series.

That said you could get a spelljammer campaign going, although as has been said you're unlikely to get anything that specific in Dungeon.

Voted for Matt Conklin due to some shameless pleading on WotC's Mystara board. :)

I think I'll have a new race. Maybe a humanoid feline called, I don't know..., ah that's it how about 'rakasta'?

What it's been done before? :D

Then again anything but those neutered catfolk ;)

That being said, has anyone done a V3.5 conversion of Lost City? What domains and favored weapons did you give to the gods of the Cynidiceans (spell?)?

As well as the article that James mentioned there is a conversion of B4 on Enworld. It is 3.0 however.

There's a picture of a phanaton over on the Vaults of Pandius pages. It's from the Savage Coast download available on the WotC site (but, conveniently enough, it's also on Pandius, and in a viewable online version as well- just in case you were interested in learning a bit about its Mystaran origins).

That link takes you (or at least me) to the list of files on the Vaults. The direct link to the Savage Coast entry is here and a direct link to the picture is here.

I recently picked up this book. IMHO it's very useful for the Isle of Dread.

Well I finally got my hands on a copy yesterday and it looks great! Now I just have the month long wait for 344. ;)

Can't wait for this issue, but as the April issue only turned up in my local newsagents last week I guess I'l have to. :(

And then there's the wait for the return of the Princess Ark.

Ok I know I'm a miserable old git, but I would prefer the pages used for another article each month.

That could put you out of business BOZ. ;)
