Folks thanks for the info. You SO rock!

Um, I'm a new GM and want to make sure I got this right...
The Chimera gets 5 attacks per round? The 2 claws means two attacks? AND a breath weapon?
Do you also roll the breath weapon randomly each round?

A chimera's breath weapon depends on the color of its dragon head, as summarized on the table below. Regardless of its type, a chimera's breath weapon is usable once every 1d4 rounds, deals 6d8 points of damage, and allows a DC 17 Reflex save for half damage. The save DC is Constitution-based.
To determine a chimera's head color and breath weapon randomly, roll 1d10 and consult the table below:
d10Head ColorBreath Weapon1–2 Black 40-foot line of acid 3–4 Blue 40-foot line of lightning 5–6 Green 20-foot cone of acid 7–8 Red 20-foot cone of fire 9–10 White 20-foot cone of cold
I want to thank everyone for their help and especially Avianfoo, Lakesidefantasy, and Rocky Williams 530. You all have been very helpful in giving the new GM a +1 now on monster creation. I think I'm going to try a advanced templet as I need at least a CR 6-7.
I don't understand how his CR goes Down. The Wood Giant I copied over is a CR 6? Wouldn't I also be adding a CR 1 for Skeleton or Zombie so now ir's a CR 7?

Big Kyle This is a post I copied that I wrote in the forum Pre-Con Games. This may be a simpler approach for everyone, since this would be located at the hotel. The one change I would suggest (from my post copied below) is having a optional buffet with a per head price for those that want to eat. An average per person price for food would be say $7-10 including the non-alcoholic drink.
Here is my post (not all the post is included but the applicable part is) from the Pre-Con Games post;
I talked to Seattle Airport Marriott's Brittany Butterfield (Front Desk Manager) on 4/24/13 at 9:20 CTS, and she told me they would be glad to accommodate you all in the lobby, however she suggested you contact Debbie Soule (Event Manager) to see if there is a free boardroom available. Both of these ladies don't mind putting you (or any other gaming groups) in any of the non-booked boardrooms for free. This way they will ensure you're more comfortable gaming into the late night hours. Debbie Souls's phone number is (206) 241-2000 X2366. I hope this helps you all out some and if a (Gaming Session) spot opens up please let me know.
I've lived in the past for several years next to Memphis, Tn, so having better bbq than theirs will be a challenge. I tried Japanese pork and didn't like it.

Ok here is what I did so you can check my math!

Undead are once-living creatures animated by spiritual or supernatural forces.
An undead creature has the following features.
* d8 Hit Die.
* Base attack bonus equal to 3/4 total Hit Dice (medium progression).
* Good Will Saves.
* Skill points equal to 4 + Int modifier (minimum 1) per Hit Die. Many undead, however, are mindless and gain no skill points or feats. The following are class skills for undead: Climb, Disguise, Fly, Intimidate, Knowledge (arcana), Knowledge (religion), Perception, Sense Motive, Spellcraft, and Stealth.
Traits: An undead creature possesses the following traits (unless otherwise noted in a creature's entry).
* No Constitution score. Undead use their Charisma score in place of their Constitution score when calculating hit points, Fortitude saves, and any special ability that relies on Constitution(such as when calculating a breath weapon’s DC).
* Darkvision 60 feet.
* Immunity to all mind-affecting effects (charms, compulsions, morale effects, patterns, and phantasms).
* Immunity to bleed, death effects, disease, paralysis, poison, sleep effects, and stunning.
* Not subject to nonlethal damage, ability drain, or energy drain. Immune to damage to its physical ability scores (Constitution,Dexterity, and Strength), as well as to exhaustion and fatigue effects.
* Cannot heal damage on its own if it has no Intelligence score, although it can be healed. Negative energy (such as an inflict spell) can heal undead creatures. The fast healing special quality works regardless of the creature's Intelligence score.
* Immunity to any effect that requires a Fortitude save (unless the effect also works on objects or is harmless).
* Not at risk of death from massive damage, but is immediately destroyed when reduced to 0 hit points.
* Not affected by raise dead and reincarnate spells or abilities. Resurrection and true resurrection can affect undead creatures. These spells turn undead creatures back into the living creatures they were before becoming undead.
* Proficient with its natural weapons, all simple weapons, and any weapons mentioned in its entry.
* Proficient with whatever type of armor (light, medium, or heavy) it is described as wearing, as well as all lighter types. Undead not indicated as wearing armor are not proficient with armor. Undead are proficient with shields if they are proficient with any form of armor.
* Undead do not breathe, eat, or sleep.
* Per the spell magic jar: "Undead creatures are powered by negative energy. Only sentient undead creatures have, or are, souls." This is an important sentence when considering any spells or effects which reference "souls."
NEW UNDEAD WOOD GIANT STATS:
SO, what's the new Wood Giant CR? Is it a CR bump of 1 due to undead template?
Base attack now 5
What does good Will saves means in relation to new Will save? Fort save is now reduced by 2 because of Charisma. Dex save remains the same?
6 skill points per level.
Would he still get all his special abilities; Slam, spell casting,+4 Stealth in woods, etc?
I'm obviously a new GM because of the following question:
When viewing the zombie template to add to a Wood Giant how do you exactly do this? Do you just change all the stats? I add a D8 to damage or change all the hits points to a D8? Can someone kinda walk me through how to alter each stat?
Yea Jason! Hmmm..Jason the XXX Root Beer and Bohem's chocolates for the missus sounds great. We will have to be at the airport at 10:00pm. A couple of our fellow gamers suggested,"I will second Big Kyles food suggestion of Paseo." so can we fit this in? So here is a list of interested items Jason;
Definites;
EMP Museum of Music
Underground Seattle
Pike's Place
Paseo (if in area)
Troll (how can a gamer miss seeing a Troll?)
Possibles: (based on location/convenience):
Bruce Lee's grave
Zoo/Aquarium
XXX Root Beer/Bohems
fish ladder/salmon watching
Jazz Alley is really good idea. If can find a band that plays music like Stevie Ray Vaughn/Hendrix then TOP of the list!
Wishing Chair
Thanks folks!
Ice Drake Freezing Mist Breath (Su)
A frost drake can, as a standard action, spit a ball of liquid that bursts into a cloud of freezing mist. This attack has a range of 60 feet and deals 7d6 points of cold damage (DC 18 Reflex half) to all creatures in a 20-foot-radius spread. The mist cakes all surfaces in the area with a sheet of slippery ice that turns the area into difficult terrain for 2d4 rounds, after which the ice cracks or melts enough to revert to the normal terrain features in the area. Once a frost drake has used its freezing mist breath, it cannot do so again for 1d6 rounds. The Reflex save is Constitution-based.
Does this mean a player rolls a reflex save using their Fort save or just their Constitution ability score modifier (if any)?
What are some other examples of this type of saving throw?
Where do you find the armor check penalty/AC/etc? for animal armor using items like Darkenwood, Angelskin, DarkLeaf Cloth, etc? It mentions in the link before the hardness and HP per inch but no mention of actually AC, armor check penalty, etc.?
I realize that animal armor is typically twice the cost and half the weight. The armor is for a Cleric's tiger. The cleric has the animal domain.

The Ballard Locks..hmmm. a boat passage channel. That may have some interest but I do live by the ocean.
Beer is a great suggestion but I don't drink. I do like the idea of seeing the salmon. Does anyone know if they swim upstream during July? That sounds really cool!
Thanks Bruno. I figured out the answer with a friends help after posting the question, but I'm glad for the clarification to ensure I read it correctly.
any answers here?
WOW! Big Kyle! You have had a full time job doing this event! I hope it works out!
Well I hope, as mentioned earlier, that Jason can be our guide. ;) I was looking for a backup if he can't do it.
At 9th level, a tetori can spend 1 point from his ki pool to suppress his opponents’ freedom of movement and magical bonuses to Escape Artist OR ON CHECKS TO ESCAPE A GRAPPLE. At 13th level, this ability also duplicates the effect of dimensional anchor. At 17th level, the tetori’s unarmed strike gains the ghost touch special ability, and an incorporeal creature that he strikes gains the grappled condition (Reflex negates, DC 10 + 1/2 the wrestler’s level + his Wisdom modifier). Inescapable grasp is a swift action and lasts until the beginning of the wrestler’s next turn.
Well, there's only a few subject I know a lot about. One is role playing monks. And go figure here I am asking a questions about a monk archetype! ;)
What do you think you all cap part of the rule means? I haven't found much if any comments here of the forum? Can a person escape a grapple at all?
Here is the hillside hazard rules;
http://www.d20pfsrd.com/gamemastering/traps-hazards-and-special-terrains/ha zards/treacherous-hillside-cr-1
What is the save for the remaining 4 party members that are all tied together by rope, and 1 member fails the Acrobatic 10 check climbing down the hill?
Do the remaining party members make a reflex save as well but modified with a lower save? Is it a strength check instead of reflex save? Is it both a strength/reflex save?
What say you oh wise one?
I've read the rules on potions and don't see any limits on how many potions magic effects you can stack? For instance you can drink;
Bull Strength
Cat's Grace
Barkskin
Haste
AND on equipment
Magic Vestment (oil on armor)
Keen (oil on weapon)
An NPC can take 6 rounds with the Haste potion being the last round (10 round action right) and be ready for combat?
Dominate Monster spell with brand new description just released 45 minutes ago!
It's states a new saving throw for compulsions against it's nature.
http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic/all-spells/d/dominate-monster
If my evil lich uses the 9th level "Dominate Monster" spell on the bronze dragon, and a another good dragon (Copper Dragon) takes the dominated LG bronze dragon away from the fight to stop it from killing the party. What would happen to the bronze dragon since the spell works anywhere on this plane? The dragon was stopped at least temporarily from completing it's compulsion? There isn't any mention of breaking the spell except with a Will Save.
@Jason thanks for the exciting news on Hendrix! Whoo HOO!
@Big Kyle you have some very good ideas. We haven't thought about were to eat! Mayall is pretty good but I like his guitarist a lot more!
Big Kyle would you like to be our guide if Jason can't do it?
It looks like whale watching is out for the obvious reasons. I doubt I would also want to see Hendrix's grave but just Hendrix items. I'm hoping the EMB has some Hendrix stuff.
I wish I would of thought of asking you all first before calling an Professional tour guide. It would of saved me some time and effort.
@ Cosmo thanks for reminding me about the City Pass
@ Neil...Tim sounds like an excellent choice...,"Yo TIM!"
@Jason...honestly speaking you sound just like the person Justin and I are looking for! Everything you mentioned...EMP Fantasy, and AC/DC (see them), horror movies (we wanted to see anything related to movies as we're both movie "buffs". Also the Entertainment coupon book (I own one for here in my area)! If the wife.job approves send me an email ASAP. Jason you ROCK..RPG Superstar Top 4...You gotta be our guide, so I can get tips for my new GM self!
@Christina it was born out of necessity. I checked with two professional tour guides and I liked to fell outta my chair. They had to repeat their price to ensure I heard then correctly!
We all know GAMERS ROCK and take care of their own! I would much rather always give our cash to a fellow gamer when I get the choice!
argghh, we're both attending the banquet.

UPDATE with MORE Info!
The dragon is a Very Young Bronze Dragon (CR 7 vs Party level 5) and remember a Bronze Dragon is lawful good. This dragon is under an epic level compulsion spell to destroy this party. The party is being followed by the evil lich's "right hand' man. This is how they know they're in the major port city of Egede.
The dragon wants to fight the compulsion spell because it's nature is to want to help the party of adventures find the epic artifact Judgement (a sword belonging to the royal family of the country Mendev that's been lost for hundreds of years). The dragon would be billowing in sadness because the spell is counter to what it wants to be doing.
The party has already met another CG aligned CR 15 old age Copper Dragon. This dragon may arrive to help break the compulsion spell? The dragons to some degree are starting to band together to try and figure out why they''re all sick. What happens if you don't carry out an compulsion in a situation like this?
P.S. The dragon race's life force is being siphoned away due to an epic level necromantic spell, so they all look mottled, ragged, etc due to the spell. They're desperately trying to figure out what is happening to them. The lich wants to turn them into a dracolich army (the dragons don't know this yet).
check him out at eldonthompson.com. Thanks for the suggestions and let's see if anyone else wants to comment.
SOOOO, How do you calculate a party's CR level, a party's XP, and the monster's CR when you have 8-10 NPC's in the fight?
Anyone else...anyone..."Bueller"..."Bueller" (I love that movie)?
Thanks for the suggestions so far. BTW EldonG, you ever hear of one of my favorite epic fantasy writers, Eldon Thompson?
I see. It's my first time at this con so I'm a.."NOOB!" I'm sure you figured that out. So does this mean ticket holder get like a pre-registration for limited seating events?
I have myself and Justin that are interested. We did a similar event in December but using our own made up characters. When is this event?
Rusty
Justin and I will play whatever you want to GM and for whatever time length you want. I like the module idea as well since it's easier for you. The bottom line for us is...we wanna roll some dice!
I have an encounter this week with my 5th level party, where they will encounter a dragon in the major port city of Egede. The dragon will be tearing off the roof of the tavern looking to kill them due to the dragon being under an compulsion spell.
QUESTION
How do you calculate XP AND Monster CR if you have 8-10 NPCs (city guard, city wizard, merchants, etc) all trying to kill/or make the dragon flee?
I'm thinking of an epic level encounter so it would be a CR7-8 black dragon. The party is very powerful and has successfully survived CR 6/7 encounters by themselves.
My friend Justin and I need a Seattle tour guide!
We're staying on Monday, July 8 and want a guide from 10:00am-about 10:00pm.
We will pay $150 plus two meals, exhibit tickets, and toll fees, OR $200 and you cover all your own expenses.
We would like to see;
EMP Museum of Music
Underground Seattle
Bruce Lee's grave
Zoo/Aquarium
Pike's Place
Whale Watching
We may not be able to do all this. What we're looking for in a guide are the following;
Know a lot about Seattle and has lived in Seattle for many years.
Dependable and has taken other people around the city before.
Fun person, great sense of humor, and like being a tour guide.
Dependable.
PLEASE contact me directly at heredragondragonATcoxDOTnet
ahhhh...The "light bulb" clicks to ON!
got it thanks folks!
so the spell is still considered third level but you can build a higher plus to the spell like Barkskin +3 correct due to caster level?
@Rusty
I should of clarified..Justin and I don't play PFS. Would you consider a "Homebrew" which might attract more players anyway?
Again we can both play Wednesday night and all day Thursday.

Here is the basic brew potion rule;
Brew Potion (Item Creation)
You can create magic potions.
Prerequisite: Caster level 3rd.
Benefit: You can create a potion of any 3rd-level or lower spell that you know and that targets one or more creatures or objects. Brewing a potion takes 2 hours if its base price is 250 gp or less, otherwise brewing a potion takes 1 day for each 1,000 gp in its base price. When you create a potion, you set the caster level, which must be sufficient to cast the spell in question and no higher than your own level. To brew a potion, you must use up raw materials costing one half this base price.
When you create a potion, you make any choices that you would normally make when casting the spell. Whoever drinks the potion is the target of the spell.
QUESTIONS;
What would a 7th level rogue have to "buff" his armor? Can you have a Magic Vestment/Barkskin of +3? I know you can only create potion of 3rd level, but can you make MV +3 or Barkskin +3?
Rusty Ironpants wrote: Hi Everyone,
I would like to get in on some early games as well. I will be arriving at about 5:00 pm on Wednesday, so I could play a later game on Wednesday and can play anytime on Thursday.
Are the currently listed games for Wednesday or Thursday?
If we wanted to add some more tables, I would be willing to GM since I am only playing during the Con itself.
Aloha Rusty! Thanks for your offer to GM! You have two players for Wednesday night and two players for Thursday all day if you want? Justin and I are coming to our first Paizocon to role-play and were glad for your offer!

@Purple Fluffy CatBunnyGnome
Can Justin and I get on the Waiting list for the Wednesday 7:00pm game?
We are also available all day Thursday.
THURSDAY ALL DAY GAME? ANY BODY INTERESTED?
Will you or anyone else want to GM a Thursday game? You have two excellent gamers looking
(.) (.) for a GM!
To answer the question about where to play, I believe I can help. I'm a Marriott Elite member, so I have some knowledge about how the Marriott hotels operate, since I stay in one on a weekly basis.
I hope this helps you all out some and if a spot opens up please let me know.
Wow folks thanks for the very in depth and most helpful replies. You've answered my questions and them some!

Here is the Color Spray Spell followed by my two questions;
Color Spray
School illusion (pattern) [mind-affecting]; Level magus 1, sorcerer/wizard 1
CASTING
Casting Time 1 standard action
Components V, S, M (red, yellow, and blue powder or colored sand)
EFFECT
Range 15 ft.
Area cone-shaped burst
Duration instantaneous; see text
Saving Throw Will negates; Spell Resistance yes
DESCRIPTION
A vivid cone of clashing colors springs forth from your hand, causing creatures to become stunned, perhaps also blinded, and possibly knocking them unconscious. Each creature within the cone is affected according to its HD.
2 HD or less: The creature is unconscious, blinded, and stunned for 2d4 rounds, then blinded and stunned for 1d4 rounds, and then stunned for 1 round. (Only living creatures are knocked unconscious.)
3 or 4 HD: The creature is blinded and stunned for 1d4 rounds, then stunned for 1 round.
5 or more HD: The creature is stunned for 1 round.
Sightless creatures are not affected by color spray.
QUESTION 1
I notice on some pre-generated NPC's that human in particular are as follows;
If a NPC is a fifth level rogue then his hit dice is HD 4. Is this correct? My adventurers are either 4th or 5th level each. I'm trying to figure how I calculated each gamer's character's HD?
QUESTION 2
Is this a mis-print?
3 or 4 HD: The creature is blinded and stunned for 1d4 rounds, then stunned for 1 round.
If they're blinded/stunned for 1D4 rounds, why add another 1 round?
I have myself and Justin who are in as players for all day and night Thursday. We also can play Wednesday at 4:00 on. Anyone need two excellent gamers?
What's a lottery? Where can I sign up for events?

I'm still having some trouble understanding how the saves and frequency works?
Blood Drain (Ex)
Any living creature that begins its turn with a leech swarm in its space is drained of its blood and takes 1d3 points of Str and Con damage.
I UNDERSTAND THE ABOVE SENTENCE, but how is it cured? A Heal spell or heal skill with 8 hours rest right?
Poison (Ex)
Swarm—injury; save Fort DC 15; frequency 1/round for 2 rounds; effect 1d4 Dexterity drain; cure 1 save.
OK SO THIS MEANS O THE FIRST ROUND THE CHARACTER DOESNT MAKE THEIR SAVE...1D4 DEX DAMAGE AND THEN SECOND ROUND MISSS THE SAVE AGAIN ANOTHER 1D4 DEX DAMAGE? IF MAKE THEIR FIRST SAVE THEN NO MORE SAVE IS NEEDED.
LASTLY, A HEALING POTION OR CHANNEL ENERGY DOESN'T WORK FOR ABILITY DAMGE JUST HIT POINT DAMAGE CORRECT?
I just saw this for INTERNATIONAL ORDERS:
Go to Dwarvenforge.com and look in the Europe Forum. There is a small discount code for shipping overseas.
Also remember the price of the sets will continue to drop as the funds go up!
You can also take up a group collection from your RPG friends and it will help a lot by doing a group order with shipping.
