Description: Mitsuryuu is about 5’6” tall, with a strong, swordsman’s build. He has long black hair, usually worn in a ponytail, and dark brown eyes. He usually wears a privacy hat when outdoors. His clothes are finely made, if relatively plain. He has a tattoo on his right arm of seven dragons in a chain, the one behind biting the tail of the one before. The dragons are wildly different, and appear to be made by entirely different artists. He carries little save his daisho.

This blessed ancestral cloth has been in the Hachidori family for many many centuries and carries their family crest and lineage; it is said that many great warriors, poets, and statesmen have worn it.
Once per day the wearer may invoke its power. It confers a +1 divine bonus to a skill check, attribute roll, or attack roll.
It has other possible invocations, if the proper ancestral tithes are offered. (He keeps this item carefully folded and hidden in his sack.)

Background:
Little is known of Mitsuryuu’s past. He is still dealing with some traumatic experience, but he doesn’t choose to discuss it. That he hates the forces of darkness that have overrun the world is obvious, and likely has something to do with his past. Even his real name is a mystery. He can become easily annoyed if pressed about his name or his past.

Personality Profile:
Mitsuryuu (which means Three Dragon) is reserved. He tries to maintain his distance emotionally. He is, however, one of the good guys.
He helps the weak and helpless. He is always kind and friendly to children, even if he has other things on his mind. He whips ass on the bad guys, and there are plenty of them out there. Still, he knows when to let one go, and when to reel one in. After all, a dead hero helps no one. He’s always polite and honest.
He is a devout follower of the Thousand and Myriad, and makes offering at every shrine and temple he passes (he believes that all of the Gods are related, so he’ll make offerings to Athena and Thor just as easily as he does to Amaterasu.) Sometimes, he’ll go so far as to build a small road-side shrine, if there doesn’t seem to be one nearby.
Currently, he is a true ronin. He’ll take service when he needs to, but mostly he prefers to work on a per-contract basis. More often than not, he doesn’t actually make a contract. If the job appeals to him, he’ll take it. Pay is secondary.
