How should higher level tables with 3 players be handled? They are legal if and only if all the players agree to play "hard mode."
Not sure if anyone else has had a similar issue, but something went wrong with my subscriptions. At one point I had 3 subscriptions: Pathfinder Adventure Path
I cancelled the Special Edition Rulebook subscription but it seems it might have impacted my Society Scenario subscription. It seems it has stopped somewhere around that time, though that may be coincidental for all I know. According to the My Subscriptions page it shows the PFS subscription as active but nothing has been sent in a while.
According to that page the next shipment will be 5-09 and 5-10
So what happened to 5-05 through 5-08? They are not in my downloads and I have not been charged for them. My forum heading doesn't show the PFS subscription even though it says it is active on the subscriptions page. I sent an email to customer service a week ago and followed up 2 days ago, but still have heard nothing from them. I am really hoping they can restore my subscription and grant me the missing scenarios at the discounted price. Anyone have an issue like this before? How did it go getting it resolved?
Correct. I subscribed on November 1st. I sent an email but have got no response thus far. But why do they have to operate this way? Why only authorize once a month? Is this a manual process? It shouldn't be. If you can authorize payment on October 27th, why can't you authorize payment on November 1st? I don't recall seeing an option to ship as soon as possible when I subscribed. It certainly wasn't clearly presented if it was there. If fact this is what it says when I go to my subscriptions page.
I have no ability to select another shipment option. I don't want a monthly subscription. I want an as soon as it is available subscription.
Why would you ship something before you know the payment will go through? My issue specifically is that they sidecarted my Player Core to ship with my next AP shipment in 2 to 3 weeks and gave me no option to have them ship separately as soon as they are available. I have another idea. How about I can buy the PDF now and when the subscription order ships for it, they refund the PDF price? No, that's not an option either.
There is no reason why this shouldn't be automated. Releasing the product should trigger the billing of subscriptions and dropping of the PDF after payment. This is not the sort of process that should require manual intervention in 2023. If that's not good enough, don't subscribe. Close the subscription at Customer services and pay for the PDF. Which means Paizo will lose out on sales, not just of this book, but of others. Because if I have to cancel my physical rulebook subscription, I will go back to PDFs only.
My issue right now is their instance on bundling subscription shipments together. I have had the Pathfinder AP subscription for while and then on the 1st of November added the Rulebook special edition subscription. But they sidecarted my Player Core and it looks like they won't ship it until AP 198 is scheduled to ship. I really don't want to wait 2 to 3 weeks to get the Player Core. I was hoping to have at least the pdf before my Friday night session. I tried emailing customer support, but no response so far. I'm fine with paying extra shipping to have my rulebooks and AP volumes shipped separately, but there doesn't appear to be an option to request that all items ship separately at their earliest availability. I'm not asking for early access, but a subscription shouldn't result in this much of a delay. I guess if this is the way it works I'll have to cancel my subscription and stick to PDFs only or getting the physical books through other channels.
Honestly, it is incredibly rare. I played PFS since the beginning. I think I was asked to show proof of ownership once, and that is because we were at a table of mostly new players and the GM wanted to use me as a demonstration of how it is supposed to work. But that's why I only buy pdfs. Saves paper and easier to prove ownership.
2. Regarding the boon, meh. It's been a while since I've played a game (convention or not) where we didn't have enough GM glyphs to cover the table, although I'll admit I play in a GM-rich (and author-rich) region. I played this with my -2001 and I haven't used it in 7+ levels. *shrug* I don't see anything on the boon that says you can't use it along side the GM glyph hero point. You can have a maximum of 3. Is there a post I missed that says you can't have both?
Looking at the list of repeatable, one could currently take a character from level 1 to 6 playing nothing but repeatables. Level 1 - 12 bounties
Maybe instead of more repeatables, it's time to allow players to start PCs at higher level. Maybe it could be an AcP boon, say 24/48 AcP to start at level 3/5. At any rate, it seems like there is little compelling reason to create any more repeatables in the 1-4 range. More exist that a single PC can play.

If only this were happening about a month from now. I have a PC 2 XP from level 9 and I am playing them at a local convention mid-July. My only other PC in range is level 11 and I need them for a slot at said convention.
We learned a lot, and we’ve decided the time isn’t right to produce a physical show. Why? We’ve learned the best way to make the PaizoCon experience accessible and affordable for the most people is to keep it virtual. And yes, COVID and its variants continue, which makes in-person commitments unpredictable for us all. Those two points make a case for making PaizoCon permanently virtual. Neither of those facts are going to change. Online will always be more affordable than in-person, and COVID is never going away completely.
I recommend using a log sheet like this one to keep track of your characters. When you get a chronicle, put the information in your log, this way you have something to refer back to if the chronicles become confusing.
Playing bounties for Society credit requires using PFS characters:
I have almost 4 full pages of 2e credit, so that's why I was hoping to avoid calculating it manually. I do notice I still have 0 points for SFS. That doesn't necessarily mean I didn't receive the 2e AcP, but it might be an indicator. Then again maybe I won't get the SFS AcP until I actually make an SFS character and play.
Right, but how do I know if it showed up or not? I only check my points a few times a year when I am considering buying a boon. I have no idea how many points I have earned, how many I've spent, and how many I should currently have. I really hope the 80 AcP grant will show up as a line in your session info.
Gave you an 8th for 1-06 if you decide to run a second table. If you don't run a second table, please leave me out.
