I'm going to have to resign sorry. I love your campaign and wish I could continue, but they're talking about making me redundent at work and i just can't commit one post a day which isn't fair on anyone.

Shanosuke, do you want me to RP out my death or something, or are you ok to handle it.

It was great fun, and good luck everyone.

Damn, I typed up a post yesterday and was sure I hit send, oh well, stupid computers...

Oh, and +1 Mus'ad for the Aussie Vernacular ;)

'I am comfortable with stone, and have no problems with the dark' Mhykir says, before leading his camel down and into the cave.

Perception:1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
Mhykir takes his watch and then falls into a deep sleep, stirring in the early hours, but not waking until woken by his friends.

While they walk, he observes the caves they are passing through with interest.

Knowledge Geography: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15

Upon reaching the fork, Mhykir agrees with Pavok, and if the party agrees to head right tries to move as quietly as possible

Stealth:1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11

Mhykir finishes his trance and stands up, 'All the gods shared with me is that should even one of us try cross this bridge certain disaster awaits, I agree with heading North, as good as any direction.'

Just to be annoying, I'm going to use my feat, prophetic vision :P

'If you don't mind waiting for 10 minutes I can ask for guidance from the gods?'

If no one objects, Mhykir sits and enters a deep trance, finding guidance as to which direction yeilds the best way around.

As an Augary Spell with a 70% success rate. 1d100 ⇒ 32

Shanosuke, Can you please NPC my character for a few days? The boss has come back after an extended leave and he's on the warpath. Long story short I'm under so much stress it's not funny and I just can't concentrate on anything atm.

I'll be back as soon as possible, thank you :)

After the battle, Mhykir moves through the camp tending their wounds, any who are in need of healing he places his hand on the wound and calls out to the gods for mercy, then handing them his waterskin (which he keeps topped up at all times with fresh clean water as per create water) he urges them to drink deep, before moving on to the next person.

Anyone who wants some healz roll yourself 1d8+3, I've got 6 of 'em to hand out and they get topped up in the morning, so don't be shy.

just take my job will you all :p. I'm only good at a few things and apparently everyone else does heals to... I don't have my sheet on me atm, i'll post an action a lil' later.

If there are any remaining unconcious birdmen, I move to coup de grace them

Coup De Grace
1d6 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
1d6 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9

Spinning on the Birdman attacking him, Mhykir draws his staff and swings it at the Birdman.

Attack:1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21
Damage:1d6 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

I'm having trouble visualising where everyone is, I have shard explosion which works in a 10ft radius, reflex save for half. Is there anywhere Mhykir can go without killing himself with attacks of opportunity and get multiple baddies and none of his friends? If so, he does that for the following damage, and the terrain is considered difficult for the next round, otherwise his action is as follows.

Shard Explosion:1d6 ⇒ 4

Mhykir sees Faznir goes down, and makes his way to him, laying his hands on Faznir he calls out to the gods for healing.

Cure Light Wounds1d8 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8

Round 2
Seeing three on Arik, Mhykir takes aim at the Anubite and lets a stone loose.

Attack:(-4 for firing into melee)1d20 - 1 ⇒ (7) - 1 = 6
Damage:1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Initiative:1d20 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8

Round one

Oops, got confused with my character sheets, this one doesn't have protection from evil.

Mhykir moves to the back with Jen, grabbing three stones out of his pocket as he does so, clenching his fist around them he transmutes them into three magic stones.

As soon as Mhykir sees the shadows he raises the alarm, grabing his quarter staff from beside him. Jumping up he readies an attack.

Not sure how much time we've got, if he has time he will cast protection from evil on himself. Eitherway, he readies an attack to hit the first person to move within his threatened space.

Pavok and Arik are on two seperate watches? Anyway, here's a perception check for my watch.

Perception:1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20

When it's Mhykirs watch, he chats with Samal about life on this plane, and if she opens up and talks about her people and past, he gently probes about the gods, backing off if she gets upset.

Knowledge Religion if it comes up:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14

I don't remember where I came in the order of watches, I don't need a set to of sleep, so I'm happy with whenever, but if no one has take then dead of night, then I'll do the watch with Samal. and yeah, off the road for sure.

That's a thought, can Samal ride a camal? what's her movement speed like.

'Samal, we all have our camals, and I would be happy to share mine with you, but erm... He looks ackwardly at her lions body. 'Can you keep up?'

My vote is to not treasure hunt at this point and just leave the ruins, not worth it, I'd rather be an alive, poor, party, then a rich TPK party.

Mhykir cringes a little as Arik mentions treasure hunting, but nods his head as Faznir speaks.

My action is to wait and see what Samal says, if she agrees to help us treasure hunt, then he will head up the rear as the party moves through the ruins. If she doesn't, then as he thinks this is a pretty plain ruin he's happy to leave and continue his journey, where he falls in with Samal and chats to her about her and her tribe, if she's in a talkative mood.

Mhykir puts away his sling, and before walking towards Arik casts guidance on himself, then limps out, leaning on his staff as he makes his way over.

Bowing his humbly says 'My name is Mhykir Millan, and I too know the sorrow of leaving ones tribe, the gods both gifted and cursed me, and for that I was cast out. I am at peace now with my fate, over time you may find your place too.'

[ooc]Better roll diplomacy, using my guidance bonus ;) 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18

Mhykir seems taken back at Faznirs sudden harsh and unprovoked attack, and stands frozen as he departs. As soon as he catches the wink he nods and without so much a glance at the dwarf he mounts his camel and follows.

Knowledge Nature 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17
Survival check to aid Mus'ad, DC10 success will add +2 to his roll I believe. 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
Perception 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 21

Mhykir helps Mus'ad, pointing out landmarks he noticed during the chase. If they make it back safely to where they started, and joins Pavok in searching for clues.

Mhykir limps up to Arik, struggling for breath at the brutal pace. 'I agree, It's too fast for me anyway, i'm afraid the party would split up if we continued pursute, which could spell the end of us.

Perception 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20
As Mhykir follows he keeps his eyes peeled.

Mhykir calls out 'Hold up friend dwarf', and limps over. Placing his hand on Ariks shoulder, Arik feels a slight warmth from Mhykirs fingers Casting Guidance, +1 to your next action, be it Attack, Save or Skill..

Then, he casts Entropic Shield on himself, and scouts around for 3 small stones, which he uses Magic Stone on and readies one in his sling. He then advances a respectable distance behind Arik.

Perception 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Knowledge Planes to tell if it's of this plane 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10

Mhykir echoes Jens sentiments, 'I see nothing of interest here, it's just an old ruin.'.

Survival1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26

I'll purchase 5 days rations, water, and a standard camel.
My vote is definitely for camping off the road, and I reckon we should investigate the ruins. I'll take whatever watch is free, as my spells don't need me to rest.

Mhykirs eyes light up as Jen suggests another source. 'Remember that seer that Yalandere said we should seek out, I completely forgot about him in the face of the Neubite threat. Perhaps we need to seek his help? I believe Umbab may be the best place to start searching for him, if my memory serves me. I suggest we depart as soon as possible.'

Barring in character RP, if and when everyone else is ready my character starts the trek to Umbab, as my declared action.

Perhaps this fight is not our fight, maybe the town needs to evacuate?

Thanks :) That's helped a bit. I thought we might have been a bit off on a tangeant looking for our boss, but hey, that's what players are for :P. Now, like Mus'ad said, how to change tack without it being too jarring.

'This Neubite city, our chances of surviving seem to reduce with every person we talk to. Jen, when you activated that device, you know best what you saw. How long do we have would you say?'

Mhykir nods in agreeance with Arik, 'We know it is dangerous, but it's a risk we have to take.'

Mhykir shifts ackwardly in the silence.

Mhykir bows, 'My name is Mhykir. The wise Elder, Fazan, told me that you may have some information that might help us regarding this city.', Mhykir turns, takes the map Not sure who has it, but he takes it off whoever does and hands it to her. 'We believe the Neubites have taken control of the city and are mustering a large army, and any help you can give may save lives.'

Mhykir is OK with that

Mhykir is no to Yaline, and yes to Jashia, afterall, Jashia was his lead :P

Mhykirs vote is to go shopping and find us some disguise stuff and chariots, he's happy to contribute his wealth of about 700gp to the cause.

Mhykir looks at Jen, 'I have heard of many arcane tricks, are you familier with anything we can use to disguise or turn our friend Arik here invisible?'

Mhykir is up for anything that doesn't involve walking ;)

Mhykir seems bemused by the idea, 'If you guys think we can pull it off...'

Mhykir thanks Fazan and heads back to Yaline, he tells his friends that Jashia may have some information regarding the city as well.

Mhykir bows, 'We found the Neubite camp abandoned, but within it there was a device which Jen foolishly enabled.' Mhykir says this with a degree of frustration 'Through this we have learned of a large force planning on mobilizing on this town, they are camped at a nearby city. Wise Fazan, would you know anything of this place?' Mhykir describes its location to the elder.

'I would like to visit Fazan, he has been helpful in the past, he may know more of this city'

I set off to find Fazan

I've been checking daily as well, I had asked for a knowledge check a lil' while back which for a few days I had waited on a response for so I knew what was going on... But like Faznir, in this situation I just didn't have anything to contribute, things are being discussed with a focus to military, which is fine, but not where my characters skills are. I'm sorry for not posting once a day, I'll resume that, even if it's just a short line here and there when my character hasn't so much to do.

On the way back, Mhykir tries to have a quiet word with Faznir.

'Faznir, a few days ago when we were *coughs* stripped of our possessions, I couldn't help but notice your heritage. There is no shame in this, but the elder of this town, Fazan, warned me that if we had an efreet or ifrit in our party we should be careful, and especially stay clear of efreet cities. I felt it prudent I should mention this to you quietly so you may decide what to do with the knowledge.'

After my conversation with Faznir, depending on how it goes, my next action is to seek out Fazan, and find out what sort of city it is we are planning on trecking too.

Mhykir looks concerned as the talisman glows, and his brow furrows as Jen tells of the Neubite leaders plans.

'I'm not really the strategy type, Mus'ad, you would know better then me what course of action we should take.'

Perception:1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11
Survival:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13

Mhykir seems a bit distracted as they walk into the camp, and doesn't really pay attention to whats around. When he sees Jen and Pavok inspecting a Talisman he limps over to have a look.

Spellcraft:1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17
Knowledge Religion:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22

As a side note, it's good to know that if I am being attacked in any way shape or form the dice might kill me, but at least i'll blitz my knowledge checks to know how and why...

Mhykir nods in agreement with the group, 'last night I had a vision that if we struck the neubites quickly and decisivly it would go well, but if we delayed it would be best not to linger here...'

Mhykir steps forward and bows before humbly accepting his bag of coin. 'Actually honourable Fazan, I do have a question. On the body of the Neubite leader we found an amulet that contains a stone belonging to Daiga and his followers, yet no such symbol was found with any of the others. My friends suggest the Neubites looted it, which sounds reasonable to us, but we are but outsiders and there is much we do not know. Is it cause for concern that a Neubite would possess and wield a symbol of Daiga?'

Mhykir joins Pavok and Arik, with a big chunk of bread and cheese and a mug of water. 'I think the fighting life is not for me' he muses.

Mhykir looks at Pavok, 'The Village Elder, Fazan, was a very knowledgable man, and he explained much of this world to me.'

As Faznir suggests that he beds in the same room as Mus'ad this evening, Mhykir gives him a dour look, but says nothing.

'We still have a day before us, and I for one would like to see what wares they have here before out journey at some point today, other then that, i'm happy to go wherever'

I'm ready to move on when you are Shanosuke

perception:1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

'Daiga was more then just a person to achieve minor godhood, he created these lands and bought the genies here, this whole plane is his handiwork. It confuses me that one of these Neubites was weilding this stone then, as they belong to Anubis, who warred against Daiga.'

Mhykir muses on this.

As the fight ends, Mhykir bows and thanks Jen for her assistance, then walking around the battle scene, he checks if anyone needs any aide. (If anyone is below 0 HP, including the NPCs, I can use my cantrip stablize an unlimited # of times, and if any of the PC's first, then NPCs desire healing I have three more Cure Light Wounds left today)

After he has finished he comes over to where Mus'ad is standing, and inspects the amulet.

Knowledge Religion to see if it's a religious symbol of any kind1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24

Round 9

I'm now at 0 hit points

Mhykir staggers under the neubites feirce attack, reflexivly shards of stone errupts from his body, damaging everyone within 10', then he heals himself.

Shard Explosion(Reflex for half):1d6 ⇒ 1
Cure Light Wounds:1d8 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7

Round 10

Feeling renewed Mhykir resumes his attack with vigour.

Attack(adding a hero point):1d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18
Damage:1d6 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
