Her tone absolutely serious. thought fish were supposed to be good for you thanks Azhar Mithra Amin wrote: "These days? Why these days more than any other?" Azhar asks of Fiosa or Melilot. used to be part of my job Melilot explains. although naked and in front of a larger audience same consequences if i lost though
Round 3: Huh, I guess I do get a high ground bonus here? So that's now another +2 to hit. I don't think I'm flanking, though, so I won't include that.
Whack it again: To hit: 1d20 + 17 + 2 - 2 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 17 + 2 - 2 + 2 = 30
Do I need to make a save against poison?
Round 2: "[G]rappled creatures can take no action that requires two hands to perform", so the lucerne hammer is now useless.
Drop the lucerne hammer, draw sling staff as move action, attack as one handed melee weapon. -2 to hit from being grappled, +2 to hit and damage from bardic: To hit: 1d20 + 17 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (6) + 17 + 2 - 2 = 23
On preview: Will use Reliable Strike as an immediate action to reroll that attack roll: To hit: 1d20 + 17 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (19) + 17 + 2 - 2 = 36 Note: I believe I have a -4 Dex penalty at the moment as well.
Combat Round One: I'm assuming Melilot does not have to be deliberately suicidal here - especially since I'm not even sure if this is where things are going to go down. If she does need to be a risk-taker, feel free to let me know what you want her to do. Also feel free to fudge dice rolls against her to get this where you need it to go if need be.
Assuming she should behave as normal, given the likely lack of mobility in this situation, she will opt to use the lucerne hammer. So, draw it as a move action, and either strike if there is a target, or ready a strike for when a target appears. Initiative: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15 To hit: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (9) + 13 = 22
Hey, all. So, I sometimes like to experiment with the types of characters I play. Melilot was an experiment. Unfortunately, playing Melilot is boring the heck out of me. So just FYI, I've talked to Mana and will be switching soon to a new character who will (hopefully) be significantly more interactive and stuff.
I'm off to bed, but so as not to delay matters unnecessarily -- if the theft plan is decided on, Melilot will agree to join the team, and if rental or purchase is decided on, she is happy to be the public "face" doing so if such a thing is deemed necessary (although she would suggest that if someone with a better ability to Bluff wants to they would probably be more suited to it, since they are less likely to arouse suspicions as to purpose.)

A bright smile, "I've never been so happy that there isn't enough room for me on a dangerous expedition." A slight pause. if we could all stop behaving like f#*%ing snotty sarcastic teenagers to each other Melilot replies, we could probably manage to come up with a good plan without pissing each other off for no reason that aside mathalen those are good objections to the water walking plan and cassian you had a reasonable objection to the overland plan she continues. i would like to add that stealing a boat seems like a completely unnecessary risk to save a negligible amount of money given our resources that makes me think that buying or renting a few rowboats seems like the most sensible path at present unless someone has a better reason for one of the other plans she says. with arael coming along in case we prove to need water walking or water breathing to get to the wave door
Cassian Merro wrote: "Yeah, that sounds much more efficient," Cassian says sarcastically. "But hey, it's your silver piece." six miles an hour is a steady jogging speed for a biggun Melilot muses aloud, so if it is five miles or less from the tip of the island to the cove then a team could get there in one casting of 50 minutes duration team of arael and four bigguns carrying as many small teammates as they can take without being encumbered she continues. heavy armor packed or only light armor worn for maximum speed that would mean one casting to arrive one casting to explore and one casting to return probably be tired after the return trip but things will be over then
chavamana wrote: Ailyn, "We could always just take the land route first. I mean.. that should only be a day's trip out of the city.. maybe two?" seems like a long way out of the way Melilot says dubiously. how far is it from the southern tip of the parego regicona to the cove she asks. it seems like the closest point and there does not seem to be much there outside the wall if we wish a surreptitious journey
Azhar Mithra Amin wrote: Azhar blinks, "Well, um, unless I'm completely mistaken, that would put it somewhere out in the cove...and I haven't yet learned to walk on water." He looks at Melilot, "Did you pick up on something I missed?" Cassian Merro wrote: Cassian snickers. Apparently he was thinking the exact same thing. if someone among us has access to a spell that allows for walking on water Melilot says patiently, a single casting might very well cover a large number of people for well over an hour without the expense of renting a boat or the risk of stealing one

They hang out in the Massacre House, also in Rego Cader." would someone be willing to give a brief and simple explanation of all of the relevant parties living and dead who are somehow involved in whatever it is we are planning to do says Melilot. because now that part two of our circuitous plan to enter delvehaven is nearly a third completed i confess i have rather lost track of things
Rev: Just to clarify, I normally wouldn't suggest spells for another player to potentially cast; I know you don't have a lot of time these days (if any), so I was hoping I could give you something you could give a yes/no response to (if you can reply at all) rather than spend the usual time on back-and-forth with it. Sincere apologies if I ended up stepping on your toes by doing so.

Rev Keaton Amin wrote: "Sounds good. I plan on talking to Sian, so perhaps Cassian can join me in that... or whoever thinks they have skills in that arena." Rev suggests they take Sian to the very very poor quarter (the one that's falling apart), and question her there, so she doesn't see the safe-house, or anyone's home. Unless someone has a better location, in which case he will defer. Melilot volunteers to join for this.
Gravlax d'Antonio wrote: Gravlax looks at the waving chain fronds. "So ... the chains are just a mindless enchantment?" Melilot waves a hand at the several chains whose tips are fragmented and flaking away in bits of rust. sian was hired to free 'the twined' and 'weakened his bonds' which seems likely to have been by killing the creature controlling them Melilot says.
