Fascinating...

What I hope is that instead of being a science fiction game using the Pathfinder rules, it will actually be set in the far future of Golarion.

Which of course opens up the possibility of time travel for both Pathfinder and Starfinder characters :)

Or doing an archaelogical dig and finding stuff last read about in one of the Pathfinder APs...

Today at Aston University in England we hold a vigil/silence at 11am GMT in memory of those killed and injured in Paris last Friday. Stand with us in spirit, even if you are not there.

As for the UnIslamic State members responsible for the murders, I'd just like to see their faces when they arrive on the 'other side' and find out just how wrong they have been about what our Heavenly Father wants...

PS Join me in using the term UnIslamic State, it sums them up pretty neatly to anyone who's read the Holy Qu'ran or paid any attention to Islamic belief.

When people have goals based on territory, self-governance or freedom then it is possible to talk to them rather than fight them, even when they have opted for 'terror' tactics to promote their cause. When they have chosen to resort to commiting mindless atrocities wherever they go, even amongst their own people, they have become rabid dogs... and the only thing you do with a rabid dog is reach for a shotgun.

These scum from the UnIslamic State have brought shame on the faith they claim to profess but signally have failed to understand.

Poor Paris. One of my family's favourite cities (and we don't really like cities much).

Well done. The furthest I have got is Book 3 of an AP (that's Curse of the Crimson Throne) so far. Legacy of Fire, well you are the 3rd party I've tried with this and you have got the furthest... one lot burned down the monastery!

Bishop d'Bear promises to take care of the Commander's remains, and to pray for guidance as discussed.

Nexus is in the stables with the horses, who appear well cared for. You mount up and head out for the citadel.

You are just going through the wall out of Grey Ward when Nexus comes running up, so out of breath that he can only flap at you, gasping. When he gets his breath back, he says, "Bishop sent me, a hippogriff passed overhead and she called it down... there's a Sable Company man waiting for you..."

Do you want to go back, send a message and/or continue to go see Field Marshal Kroft?

I am still here, and perfectly prepared to continue with or without Gorguk.

Ashe attends to his errands.

Verik Vankaskerkin says that he had been intending to head off somewhere that new colonies were being established and try to start over, farming perhaps, but that the Pathfinders sound interesting and he'd be willing to try out for them. He's subdued, but grateful for your interest.

At Trail's End, despite the lateness of the hour, he's allowed to see Brianna and to perform his good offices... she perks up immediately, the lesions on her face disappearing and her breathing easing almost immediately.

The orphanage is shut up tight for the night and there is no response to his knocking... but it has gone 2am so that's not completely surprising.

The rest of you go to your various places of rest, and sleep well.

Anyone want to do anything else before morning or may the next day begin?

Una finds a convenient ledge along a nearby building from which she can get to the Bank's steps... for once, nobody notices her display of parkour technique!

Eventually, she joins the rest of the party who have by now reached the steps as well. Do you want to wait for Ashe, or go on in?

You're welcome... these adventures are just the right length to read during my lunch break :)

Akiros starts drawing diagrams in the dirt.

"I think," he says looking up, "That you'd come out under the ladder up to the walkway on the south side of the compound. But we didn't know about a trapdoor there... must be something the previous inhabitants left behind, maybe an escape route or something."

Lothar's spell and Rhasadilara's sharp eyes both reveal that the trapdoor opens upwards, it is merely resting on a stone rim. There are no rungs or anything like that leading up to the trapdoor, but there are indentations where you are standing/kneeling that suggest that people leaped down from above - perhaps it was a means of egress rather than entry to the fort above. The walls are heavy clay, you could probably carve yourself footholds if you wanted to.

TWO small, excitable, curious characters... I feel more like a kindergarten teacher than a GM at times!!!

You reckon you've about exhausted the potentials of the undercrypt. Where would you like to go now?

It's a non-question.

That's not a cop-out, by the way. It's a case of using the wrong tools for the job.

Theology is the wrong tool to debate scientific theories.
Science is the wrong tool to try to see if 'God' is real or not.

Cliff Richards once said, "God and Rock'n'Roll work together in the hands of someone who loves them both"... and it's much the same with theology and science. They're both interesting, they both can be used to explore the world around us, but they're going to show us different things.

"Good or not, if you desire to become better, the Dawnflower is here for you. As am I, her servant. Go in light, come again as you need," says Zenani.

I'm playing a wizard in a game where one of the other characters is rather into this seduction thing, so I asked the DM if my wizard - the classic bookish type, who's overweight and rather scruffy - would even know how to Do It if she came on to him.

His reply?

"I expect he's seen diagrams..." :)
