I think Sebastian Hirsch's quote from Guide to Organized play overrules Tamec's quote from Technology Guide.

Sebastian Hirsch wrote:

When a timeworn technological item is first in
a scenario,
there’s a 50% chance that it will glitch.
Additionally, when using an item in a way that would drain
its last charge, there’s a 50% chance it will glitch. If an item
requires a d20 roll (such as a skill check or an attack roll) to
activate or use, it automatically glitches on a natural 1.

The glitch table is on the same page.

I believe the line has a typo and is intended to say is "is first used in a scenario", meaning the first 50% glitch roll only happens in first scenario you use it and not every scenario you use it.

I believe that GM-star-replays should reset at the GenCon new year. I think its a vital way to reward GMs who dedicate so much time and energy to our society.

Please post your ideas, thoughts, sayings and whatever else you can think of to make priests of Razmir loved by everyone.

The first time that I ever ran into this archetype I was GMing a 5-9 scenario in the high tier. The PCs and the GM (me) fell in love with the priest of Ramir, he was healing like crazy and doing all kind of divine stuff, by the end of the game we were all like, "Hail Razmir". I currently have a priest of Razmir in PFS

Truth:
Sorcerer with the Priest of Razmir Archetype from Inner Sea Magic

Give out healing all the time, for free. Every time you heal say something nice about Razmir's healing power. I burn through wands of CLW healing the whole party. When I played The Confirmation, people were like, "How did you cast CLW 20 times?" The GM threw me a wink and said, "Thats just what priests of Razmir can do." No one in the party had spellcraft.

Cast bless on the party and give out as many buffs as possible. Each time talking about the glory, love, blood and divinity of Razmir.

Don't get too preachy Here are some preachy quotes form Masks of the Living God that I am going to start quoting.

Quotes from Masks of the Living God:

Razmir is the god above all other gods. Those who
would claim otherwise are jealous of His glory and
spread lies in an attempt to tarnish his mask.

The mask of the Living God is a
divine vessel. Behind its protective
embrace, His followers can speak
the will of Razmir without fear of
rebuke. His followers must wear the mask
whenever they deal with nonbelievers, so
that they might come to fear His image.

The followers of Razmir act as one. Through
anonymity comes solidarity, with each part working
together to further His glory.

Those who follow the steps of the Living God will be
rewarded with glory and riches. Those who turn from
His path shall have neither.

Razmiran, the realm of the Living God on this world,
is sacred ground, and it is the duty of every believer to
protect and enrich this sacred place. Every temple to
Razmir is an extension of this sacred realm.

Those who do not believe must be converted to
the faith of Razmir by showing them the glory and
wealth that awaits them in His service. Those
who refuse are corrupted by the unfaithful and
should be denied such luxuries.

I'm hosting a MiniCon in a few weeks. The primary goal is to bring in new people to try out Pathfinder/PFS. Any ideas for a cool name for the event? "Try Pathfinder" is kinda a weak name. We are also going to have a book singing by a Tales author.

Thanks for your help!

As a store coordinator I plan out all of our upcoming games. Most of the time I plan out the games according to what is new and what has not been played recently. I've found the latter to be a little inferior. Instead I think it would be better to plan to have ongoing stories from week to week.

What are your ideas for PFS campaign arcs? And what scenarios would you put together for a great experience?

Here is what I got so far:

GOBLIN ARC: We Be Goblins > Frostfur Captives > Rise of the Goblin Guild > We Be Goblins Too! > ?

Some other ideas for arcs:
Kaer Maga
Blackrose scenarios (I don't know the order on these)
Linnorm/Irrisen/Mammoth
Taldor scenarios > Devil We know i-iv > ?

I need ideas for wacky/fun/pulpy situations in Saventh Yhi. I will take these classic tropes and ideas to combine them up with the encounters and populations of the City of Seven Spears. Here is some example of the top of my head (you may recognize where they are from):

Party chased by a rolling bolder
Natives with blowgun darts
Dinner of snake babies and monkey brains
Evil sacrifice with a bad guy eating a heart
Sinking buildings
Rival Faction stealing the treasure

Please write out any ideas that pop in your head

Here is one more resource that I've found the most useful for the 5th and 6th goblin: http://dm-curtis.proboards.com/thread/299

I've ran We Be Goblins 7 times and found Miss Gojangles, goblin sorcerer, makes the absolute best 5th character. She is able to set off fireworks more easily than other goblins and really contributes to shenanigans. I've found that BuggyBugeye and Stumpbiter over powered and imbalance the game.

You can also find these goblin files in the shared GM PFS Prep google drive

Hi highly recommend using Miss Gojangles the sorcerer, as your fifth goblin. Stumpbiter is way to over powered. Miss Gojangles simply makes the game more fun. Her fire allows her to really contribute to shenanigans.

How about you put in eco system of creatures living in the mountain. They have underground farms, hatchery, few traps but generally peaceful society stuff. Then the PCs come in smashing around and before they know it they are the monsters. PLOT TWIST!

You can have new PCs go into that dungeon and meet new kobolds that cary around the old PC's stuff. Then your world becomes "alive" through TPKs.

I wouldn't worry about whats in the system over your legit chronicle sheets. The PFS guide says to mark on chronicle that the scenario/module is your replay.

Is Bonekeep approved for replay?
I've heard conflicting things. When I played this game, I was the only character prepared for a fierce dungeon crawl and we did not get very far. I'm dieing to play this killer again. MuuuuHahahaha!

I'm the PFS store coordinator at Endgame in Oakland. I took over coordination/mustering few months ago but now I'm planning our schedule for the first time. We game for 4 hours 7-11PM. I'm trying to juggle lots of players who've played and judged lots of older scenarios along with new players. I'm thinking of introducing some of these older specials that have never been played at the store along with Thornkeep.

How many sessions do the following scenarios take? What are your thoughts on some of these specials for regular game days.

2-EX Year of the Shadow Lodge (1–11)
3-EX Blood Under Absalom (1-11)
4-26 The Waking Rune (7 - 11)
Thornkeep: The Accursed Halls (1-2)
Thornkeep: The Forgotten Laboratory (2-4)
Thornkeep: The Enigma Vaults (3-5)
Thornkeep: Sanctum of a Lost Age (6-8)
Thornkeep: Dark Menagerie (5-7)

The first several years of my gamer life was 1-on-1. It's a great opportunity to have a deep campaign. My piece of advice is have the PC be the main character and NPC companions join his adventures.

One of my fondest memories when I as DMing growing up is when the PC's halfling thief got caught trying to rob a tower. Back then, thieves had a skill called climb walls. As a prisoner was then thrown into the area where he battled for his life and made friends with a minotaur fighter. Soon they escaped together. Somewhere along the lines, a werebear ranger joined them too. Good times.

Why 6 PCs when you have 3 players? Is it a crazy dungeon where you'll need meat shields? I've found 3 PC's works great for modules that call for 4. Little more challenging and they have to use their heads a little more.

Dark Archive

KatoCha04's advice is good.

I think your plan for starting them out at 3rd level is good. Having only 2 players can be allot of fun. They both get lots of attention and can do lots of things they normally wouldn't be able to do, like start a business, which roots them in your setting.

A 3rd PC would be helpful. When I've run two players, I create a bunch of great NPCs for the PC's to interact with, and see which ones become friends or occasional companions. That NPC can be the 3rd character.

Spell Slingin' Steve wrote:

Any ideas for how and why i can bring a paladin and a rogue together? I don't want the rogue to constantly sneak around doing his unlawful (but not evil) things so that the paladin dosen't have to imprison him. Greater good argument as long as the rogue is not hurting anyone?

I'm thinking that some urban adventuring would work nicely for 2 players, any suggestions? Magnimar is a likely destination, it provides lots of "evil" for...

They could be brothers, cousins, ophans, or childhood friends.
