I am almost always a GM for my group so my interests lie with resources that help make my job more interesting and easier. Therefore, lately, I would recommend Raging Swan GM resources. I have found them creative and super useful.

With that said, honestly, I will basically buy anything from RiP, SGG, and Raging Swan without any trouble at all. Just depends on what my game needs. I should also mention that HHG and Purple Duck are climbing up towards this list as well.

One more thing, I am really excited at the overall quality of the Pathfinder 3PPs. You almost cannot go wrong!

Legendary Items

So let's say we were going to do a Legendary Items II. Which wondrous items or other magic items would you like to see covered?

A few quick potential examples:

A Rod of Wonder embodying chaotic magic at its finest, perhaps with progressively more elaborate options alongside the ability to focus it for random permutations of its wielder.

An Apparatus of the Crab which begins more simply at lower levels and gradually grows into its full complexity and beyond.

A storied magician's Bag of Tricks converted into a Hat of Tricks, perhaps doubling as a miniature portable hole, mini-dimension door or other side nuances.

A Decanter of Endless water which can issue forth a variety of other liquids or delve into varying water elementals / deviations of such.

An Efficient Quiver which produces a variety of specialty ammunition for different situations.

I'd also be quite keen on legendary armor entries or perhaps even a legendary weapon supplement which consisted primarily of a toolbox of creating new legendary goodies or establishing them through play (different take on the legacy system and whatnot.)

It's great to see another entry in this series, particularly one of my original requests!

I should mention a slight omission, however - the erotodaemon should note that the bearer of their heartstone is considered to be the caster whenever the erotodaemon uses her charm monster spell-like ability.

If you are expecting 2-3 dollar pdfs, expect OGL crap.

I have purchased 2-3 dollar PDF's from each and all of these companies, and come away with quality, well-done material.

Needless to say, I disagree with you. Others have made the remainder of my argument for me upthread. I will (and have) paid up to $20 for longer, quality PDFs, but your above statement is manifestly untrue.

As for what I look for in 3pp product, here are a few things that are important to me, in priority order:
1. Idea - Even if I can't use it in my game immediately, I will shell out ducats on a really cool idea, just for the entertainment value of reading about it. Good fluff is really important.
2. Accurate crunch editing - I'm not extremely proficient in this department, so it's especially important that you be.
3. Layout - I stopped to notice several product that I eventually purchased because the sample or title page just looked cool.
4. Language editing - I can forgive some typos or goofs, but if it reaches a point where I'm notice I'm slowing down to try and figure out what you're saying, you're in trouble.
5. Art - I'm not finicky about art. It doesn't have to be museum quality or full color, just make sure it's not something I would mistake for that thing my 3-year-old just hung on the fridge.

(I hope this is the right forum for this.)

Contests. Open calls. Standard submissions (with or without query). On spec assignments. Taking writing resumes.

I started a thread under Paizo General about writing for PF, and the majority of the response pointed toward "write for a 3rd Party Publisher." Okay. I'll buy that.

So, who's hiring? I know many 3PPs are one-or-three man operations done as a labor of love, but some of you have to be open to submissions or be willing to give assignments. And I am certain that I am far from the only one on this board to be interested in such work.

So here's your chance. Let us know.

PS: Any interest in science fiction, by the way?

I would say yes for us if we could develop Rpg content out of it as well.
