I have one planned story set in a postapocalyptic version of earth where Albuquerque is a nexus point for ley lines that results in a natural psychologically-imposed maze. It's impossible to pass near it without suddenly finding yourself lost and/or going the wrong way.

Today, we take Charlie for his 15 month check up. Hard to believe my boy's that old already. I can't wait to see what people think of him when we get down to New Orleans Ina few weeks. Some people haven't seen him since Christmas, some since he was christened last May, and I have one brother who's never met him in person.

Did I miss anything?

There's some kind of yummy Chinese PIE.

Proffers up the Chinese pie while he selfishly keeps the Thai pie for himself.

If you have good Texas pecans and dried Mediterranean apricots, they mix well to make an awesome snack.

That sounds delicious. Actually, I think that has provided some cooking inspiration as well.

Well, I have big news. I've been holding off on posting anything because this is my name and all, but I have officially resigned my current position in order to join a new company in two weeks' time.

It's been a stressful week and a half, but all in all I am pleased. I like the new position, I think I have more room to move up in the new place, and the dress code is JEANS EVERY DAY (a client's not there, anyway...).

A week and a half is a quick job search - though it's been crazy hectic.

So I wanted to post a little celebration, and I wanted to wish all my fellow FAWTLIES who are in the job market good luck in finding something fawesome!

Morning, all. What did I miss?

Well, several residents decided to take advantage of the warm weather to relive their childhoods by running around naked. Meanwhile, everyone was saddened by the loss of their childhood idol, Maurice Sendak. And, across town, the mysterious president of the Joss Whedon Fanclub, known only by the initials FDM.........No, wait! That's my soap opera!

Mairkurion {tm} wrote:
Morning, everybody. You've heard about Sendak?

I just did. That was my favorite book as a kid. Maybe because the main character's name was Max.

Osirion (Pathfinder Adventure Path Subscriber)

And I ran.
I ran so far away.
I just ran.
I ran all night and day.
I couldn't get away.

Got a job. That is all.

Cheliax (Bella Sara Charter Superscriber)

And what about the ghosts? If they aren't filmed in grainy night camera footage, will they go on a killing spree?

Erik not sure how popular this idea will be, but one of my favorite miniatures was when they made a key villain I'm talking Demonlords or Archdevils, or even one of the four horsemen. These would also make EXCELLENT promo minis for smaller sets.
Who wouldn't want to see Charon astride his skeletal nightmare with a great paintjob, Nocticula just looks like a badass, and etc. I loved having them for no other reason then they were key villains, I mean the whispering Tyrant done really well would be an intimidating miniature.

I guess Mothy hasn't been back.

Hey Mairkurion - its a public holiday here..... Mothy may be at the ANZAC day march. If he doesn't pop back on I will be seeing him on Friday and I will pass on the FAWLTy well wishes.

Well, Jess' professed despair at missing the chance to inflict fatal wounds on her friends prompted several co-workers to become concerned for their safety. Meanwhile, during a booze-fueld rampage, Derek lost control and severely beat a Confucius impersonator performing a one-man show in the park. And, across town, an attempt to start a cult dedicated to a local douchebag backfired when.....No, wait! That's my soap opera!

If I'm gonna wish I'm gonna wish big.

So I picked up some light reading today. 4 Super thick black leather gold leafed books The complete works of H. P. Lovecraft, and the Complete works of Robert E. Howard. Should keep me busy I think. Plus they were beautiful books
Where did you get those from?
Got them from the local bookstore a Canadian chain. But I suppose I can get you the amazon links. Just give me a minute or two.

There are the softcover and hardcover versions, I got the hardcovers cause they just look cooler...

Necronomicon , Eldritch Tales , The Complete Chronicles of Conan , Conan's Brethren . And that's all.

Could use some good thoughts and maybe a couple prayers. Keeping our hand closer yo our chests at the moment, but if this goes like I'd like it too things could really work out for us.

@ The Eldritch Mr. Shiny,

While I am curious about what you posted as a link, I could not view it because I don't do Facebook. Just thought I would mention it. It appears I am not the only one here that doesn't do Facebook either.

It's so good not to be alone...
Yeah, actually it's been so long since I used Facebook, I've forgotten my password. So I kinda can't log in even to see photos anymore.

Perhaps if he changed it to Public viewing instead of Friends, which could be part of the problem.

Get with the technology, luddites. No one communicates with a string and two tin soup cans any longer. ;-)

So far, Charlie really seems to like books. This makes me happy.

I'll be DMing Kingmaker later on today, over at my buddy Todd's house. Should be fun. We'll finally finish off part 2 today, and hopefully get started on Part 3 after some kingdom building time. Woot!!!

"20/7" doesn't quite roll off the tongue like "24/7" does.

Ah, you'd get used to it very quickly. Besides, think of the monkey wrench it would throw into the whole metric system! All of the sudden imperial units of measure are no more inconvenient than the metric system!

So big news in the Moorluck household. I decided to get off my butt and finish my degree. Which means taking this huge SAT like test. I think I'll do ok with the reading and writing portions, but the math will be a pain. So I will be studying my ass off!!!

I feel a lil silly, but I have gone all the way back to fractions, from there I'll move to decimals and then to algebra. *shrugs*

You're not close enough to Brooklyn/NYC/Queens for it to be genuine.

I think this has been brought up before, but what are the chances of seeing you guys put a map tool on the website. I'd love an interactive map with pins representing the various AP locations. I realize it'd be hard to put up, but would be a really great tool (for you and for us) and you could update it as new adventures come out.

Aberzombie's Really Grim Fairy Tales

True Love

Once upon a time, there was a beautiful, young noblewoman who was in love with the captain of the guard of her father's manor. Her, mother, very image-concious, forbade the young girl from engaging in a relationship with her love, since he was "not of the proper station".

The young lady and her lover both pleaded with her mother to change her mind, claiming that what they had together was true love, and that nothing could stop it or destroy it. Finally, after months of badgering from the pair, the mother relented to their relationship, but on one condition: they must live together for one month, locked away in a tower, with no other contact. The happy couple agreed.

After one week, they hated each other and never wanted to see each other again. In despair, the Captain quit his position and joined the army. Shortly thereafter, he died fighting ogres.

The young noblewoman went on to marry the prince, who then became king. Years later, they were overthrown and executed.

The mother lived to a ripe old age, and died peacefully in her bed.

I really do hate changing the shower curtain liner. There isn't space for a step stool outside the tub and inside the tub wouldn't be safe, so I either end up balancing precariously on the edge of the bathtub or standing on tippy toes so I can just barely reach. The trouble with being short.

I hate being short. I was short growing up...but then in college I was on the tall side of average, and in Japan, of course, I was a giant.

5'8" isn't tall enough. I was supposed to be 6 feet tall. :P

It irks me that I don't have more time to see stuff along the way. I'm on a tough schedule because I have to be to work in NY on Tuesday. Ugh.

So, just to be clear, you guys are moving back to NY, permanently, right?

Unless more FAWTLY Folk move to Texas. Then the sheer gravimetric pull of so much FAWESOMENESS would compel them to journey southwest to the land of BBQ, long-horns, and 10-gallon hats.

While not exclusively Pathfinder-related, Mythopoeic Rambling does cover a lot of Paizo and 3pp Pathfinder items.

Different middle names. :)

And I agree...it was quite moving.

Congrats Mike! Well deserved! Now get to work!! You are behind schedule already!!

Also finished the map for level 1 of my PaizoCon dungeon adventure. And I'm considering shrinking level 2 down a bit so that the whole thing is too much.

If Taig is playing a halfling in this adventure, a second level will not be necessary.

he'll tpk the rest of the group with time to spare.

I won't play a halfling, even though I managed to successfully keep from causing PC death with my halfling cavalier at PaizoCon last year.

No, this time I plan to play...a gnome.
