Good BAB for Monks?

Looking just at PHB II classes as a comparison (especially the duskblade), would it be all that unreasonable to allow monks good BAB with unarmed strikes, special monk weapons, and combat maneuvers? I'm going to try it out. Do you think it's really that unbalancing? Especially if I also open up sneak attack against constructs and corporeal undead? I am a 3.5 purist. Which means I houserule anything that doesn't suit me. ;)
