Sun or Mon are the days we would be able to game regardless of who ran. We have a shared campaign that everyone has taken turns running. One person would do a game or two then the next would take over. All of us would like to get back to that if you were game. We would just simply slot you into the rotation. We are open to houserules etc. If your world you have been working on is finished then we could possibly do that. If you can make the noon game on Sat we can chat face to face about it.

Daze or Charm are the appropriate conditions.

It is a normal Pathfinder game with some guidelines and restrictions to allow you to transport your charecter between games and GMs. All 4 of the local conventions have multiple tables scheduled over most of the slots. You can find out more by clicking the emblem on theright left for Pathfinder Society or going to the society section in the forums. Forge also does white wolf on some of their gamedays and last Sat we started a mutants and masterminds game. You shold really think about checking them out.

I ran a Pathfinder home game for a couple of years (since alpha) but have had to put it on hold due to people moving and mine and my wife's work schedule. If you could do a Sunday or Monday evening game we could possibly get something going in a couple of weeks. We have one player left in town that is also ready for another game.

I got your PM check out www.forgeweb.org the games tab has a link to their game days. This Sat at noon there is a PFS game at Reel world games.

Alexander, I was just saying how I would do it I think that the 15 point buy for NPC's is to weak and they need to be beefed up as Huamn NPC;s tend to suck ass and present no chalange to to PC's. There are several Classes that you won't run into as NPC's because you can not build viable NPC's for them example the Inquistor or the Magus just would completly blow as 15 point buys so would Paladins.

Also he books the GM need to have access to needs t be up dated to expand what is availble to thse who bulid senarios for PFS.

As the reason I would up the point buy to 25 is to allow better builds for MAD Character classes.

Haven't checked his point buy totals but there is at least one Taldan Magus who is doing pretty well for himself.

On topic I would like to see race options be expanded beyond core + convention boon.

+1 on a lower cost to the items on chronicles. What percentage to use could be decided later.

I would strongly support a rebuild with 3xp or less. For the reasons Jeff Manhood (nice pic by the way) suggested above.

They work for some groups so they should be left in. My worst 2 experiences were with 5 player tables. GM/Player conflicts, side conversations, delays in combat, inattentiveness these two games had it all (even one probable cheater). But it was due to the players and GMs not the head count. Like someone said above the more people at the table the greater the chance of a bad seed but if the GM thinks they can run it well they should be allowed to. There have been a lot of things banned or changed in this campaigns history because some of the gaming population (usually it seems to be about a 50/50 split) didn't like them. Table size should be left where it is with enough rules and guidelines to ensure fairness but with the ultimate decisions made at the local level.

YMMV

Since your weapon is already magical you can add Keen and Shock at the same time with one swiftI action by spending 1point from your arcane pool.

The way I was playing it led to an escalating series of threats and follow-throughs, along with the continuing need to get creative on how we're going to threaten a guy whose family are all dead and has no arms, legs, eyes or nose and is covered head to toe with brands from a red-hot poker.

You threaten to let him live. As a side bonus you future intimidation checks in the area will get a bonus.

At 8th TWF will only add one attack not two. Since you need a BAB of 6 for ITWF the earliest a straight Alch could take it is 9th. It is your game but my opinion of full crit and vital strike is that it will make for a more powerfull charecter. Changing the discovery to a swift throw is a neat idea if the discovery was written that way currently I would take it and not feel cheated.

For my PFS Halfling Summoner "Knight" I used the Wanderlust and Outrider alternate racial abilities in the APG. I took one Lvl of FTR (Dragoon) and pursued the mounted combat line of feats for my Knight and toughness then the bodygaurd line for his steed. Currently 7th with all the Giddy Up feats, Skill Focus Ride (Dragoon) and Wheeling Charge and Indomitable mount. Wheeling Charge allows you to charge through freindlies and make one turn up to 90 degrees. Indomitable mount is mounted combat for saves. The steeds feats are toughness, combat reflexes and bodygaurd. I gave the steed reach and push to help maxamize charge potential. Now at 7th I use supernatural flight ride by and wheeling charge to charge away while remaing mostly out of harms way.

THEN spending 2000 gp to have it enchanted to (+1). but these two events may be on two very different ARs (like my 2nd and my 9th).

but then I would have a magic weapon with a GP value of only 2000gp, not 2700 as it would normally be, right?

If they respect you enough to give you a bow they should respect you enough to make it Darkwood.

So you saw the right one. It also functions as a club so my choice to get a darkwood masterwork was fluff based and not an optimized choice, but he is a plague doctor so he should have the best.

My Alchemist Dr. Westcrown is a practicing surgon with all of the OP gear and a stretcher that has come in handy in many scenarios. He dresses in his "professionial attire" constantly. He didn't attend medical school to not be called doctor.

I also added in a MM darkwood wand of misery, and a mithril dagger I reskinned as a scalpel (before reskinning was frowned upon). He keeps them in sping loaded wrist sheaths since no matter how often he works with his "staff" they never understand that when he holds out his hand and says an object they are supposed to place it in his hand.

He is mainly a ranged attacker but he also keeps an injection spear in his quiver in case he has to give a big shot.

What were the objections to leveling-up or leveling-down a PC to meet a module's target range? In particular, if the consequences carried over, what do the venture-captains feel is the problem?

Chris,

I don't feel comfortable discussing particulars, even if I could remember them. But the obvious problem with allowing a PC to level down is on a Chronicle sheet with only one tier for gold, the higher level PC will be getting much less gold than they should for their level. One could also argue that the PC has already played through the level of the module and shouldn't be allowed to play at that level again.

The obvious problem you mention is already solved by current rules. As I understand it the future one teir rewards would be created because in the proposed rules all leveling up and down was being removed. If it was left in in some form the obvious solution would be to save the work of redoing the current chronicles and form the future chronicles in the same format. I would like as a compromise for the lvl up down leveling option to remain and simply have all costs link. I think options for above cap play are great. I think the currently prposed idea is clunky an best, and should of been handled with specials or a more generic statement related to above 12cap mods so the rules will not have to be adjusted in the future to incorperate new 13th and 14thform mods.

I ran Tomb of the Iron Medusa for a group of tailored 14th level PCs.

It seemed like a less risky way for players to try out some different content.

With these new rules, I'd be nervous to run PFS PCs through Iron Medusa. It's meant to be nasty. It's meant to kill PCs who mis-step. Sure, death is fixable with a raise dead or resurrection, but spending the PP/gold for those things can be pricy for a PFS PC. The reduction in gold/PP gained because of a death seemed like an ok trade with the older rules.

In short, I'd be less likely to run sanctioned modules for PFS under these new rules, given how the modules can really swing in deadliness.

Also, I was hoping to try out the 11th level version of my ninja in the Ruby Phoenix Tournament mod. With these new rules, I'll be unable to. snif.

Do so many players run their PCs through sanctioned modules that this adjustment is necessary?

When I ran Tomb of the Iron Medusa for 14th lvl charecters I killed two charecters 3 animal companion and almost had a TPK on more than one occasion, and that was with an full party.

Taldor * (Pathfinder Roleplaying Game, Adventure Path, Battles Case, GameMastery Maps Subscriber)

One of the best features of mods was the ability to play charecters created at apropriate level to try out. If consumable use is such a huge concern record any consumables used on the chronicle and subtrart them from the gp award or legal characters sheet when applied.

I like that Mods give this ability. I played with a 5th lvl ftr that just had all of his stuff destroyed at the previous con. Our table was playing a 5-9 high teir. He told us about the previous bad luck (not to beg mind you)and the table bought some decent gear that he could use for the adventure so he could get back on his feet. To this day my cleric carries a MW Alchemical Silver flail, and a MW Cold Iron greatsowrd I picked up for him. Had Mod sacntioned play been available he could have done a lot of his "repairs" between cons.

Toris 10th lvl Cleric- got a wand during conversion for season 1 (lvl 5), got another at 8th along with a partially charged cure Mod both with cash

Zaha "Doorslayer" Soyze 9th Lvl Rage Prophet- Spent 2 PA on first scenario after conversion to season 1 (2PA for a wand was not available before then) 2nd Lvl, used PA to get a second one at lvl 5

Dr Westcrown 5th lvl Alchemist- PA at 2nd lvl, used gold for another on his latest chronicle

Kaldric 6th lvl Summoner-Bought partially charged one at 3rd level just got a full one both with cash

I have two other charecters that are in first steps they will have wands from PA once they get PA.

My wife has 3 characters her paladin got a wand during conversion mainly to help others. Her ranger got one with PA shortly after conversion. Her Witch got hers with PA before second level I think a Mage Armor wand was purchased first.

Localy almost everyone has a wand before they hit 4th level. Most have them well before that.

It would be nice if more of what JJ writes for the blog could be used to fill the center of the chronicle that way the players coul read it for themselves. The boons probably won't need too much space most months.

As far as mind affecting thing goes the player could take a dip into the undead/boreal? Crossblooded sorc so he can affect some undead and plants. Carrion Crown seems like a likely path to gain some amount of control over undead. Just figured I would give you a possible counter strategy if the probable big weapon in his arsenal is reduced.

My fix would have been to allow prof in any one single weapon like before. Allow the character to start with that non-masterwork weapon but include some fluff that allows the weapon to be enchanted at +300 GP normal cost as long as long as the bearer participated in the ritual to enchant it. This gets rid of the trait/MW/WF stacking early and eliminates any gold savings in fact it delays the MW. Until the character can afford 2300 GP.

Hey everyone
Just letting you know about MidSouth Con. There will be plenty of PFS. As far as multi parts we have the complete Everwar, City of Strangers, and Heresy of Man series. For mods we have Godsmoth Heresy and Master of Fallen Fortreses. We also will be running the Year of the Shadow Lodge interactive, and 10 diffrent PFS scenarios not counting those above. Online registration for the organized play is hosted on Warhorn.
