This was discussed a bit in the SLA casting thread, but I think it deserves its own separate mention.

From the FAQ today:

Pathfinder Design Team wrote:

Item Creation Feats: Does having a caster level from a spell-like ability meet the caster level prerequisite for selecting an item creation feat?

Yes.

This seems kind of huge to me. Basically any race or class that gives a SLA grants access to crafting feats. This opens up the trade to a lot more characters.

Vicious Stomp grants an attack of opportunity but requires that be taken with an unarmed strike. Disarm and Sunder (and Trip, but that shouldn't apply here) are performed with a weapon in place of an attack.

So as long as the weapon you use to perform the maneuver is an unarmed strike, could you attempt a Disarm or Sunder using the Vicious Stomp AoO?

So, of course most named bonuses do not stack. You simply apply the greatest of any particular bonus you have available. However, how do negative named bonuses interact with positive?

I'm not sure how often it comes up, but I noticed it in Acrobatics. You get a "-4 racial bonus" to Acrobatics for every ten feet below 30 in your base speed. How would that interact with the +2 racial bonus to Acrobatics that halflings get?

If we're just applying the greater of the two numerically, the +2 from Halfling would simply override the -4 "bonus." However, there's an argument that the modification from -4 has a greater magnitude so it should take precedence. I could even see someone arguing special circumstances and rule in favor of simply combining them for -2.

So is there an actual rule on this I've overlooked? Or is this just a weird fluke in the system?

I've got my eye on a halfling wrestler character with a focus on grappling. Naturally, I was drawn to the Tetori. But the more I look it, the more it seems like the Tetori's abilities sacrifice a lot to prop up its only trick.

So I'm starting to lean towards a Maneuver Master along with Underfoot Adept (maybe with a splash of Unarmed Fighter at first level). The bonus feat selection is more open, offensive capacity seems higher, and it would allow for a greater variety of repertoire.

Seems like the biggest things I give up going that route are the Grab and Constrict abilities. While good, I'm not sure that alone is worth it.

Any compelling reason to stick to Tetori instead?

I've got a character idea I'm kind of rolling around that I thought I might toss in here for some thoughts.

I've got my eye on the idea of a halfling wrestler with strong pulls from the 80's WWF era. Signature names for moves, Randy Savage voice (OOOOH YEEAAH!), always tearing his shirt off ala Hulkamania, that kind of thing. The idea of this hairy little halfling calling people out and then diving onto their back and wresting them to the ground seems really fun to me.

Is this unworkable?

Being Small kind of limits the combat maneuver options a bit but Grapple is uncapped on size, so I figured focusing on that wouldn't be a bad option. Probably go Tetori with a level of Unarmed Fighter at first so I can pick up the first two Snapping Turtle Style feats at level 1. I'm pretty sure my GM will let me adapt the Equality for All trait to our setting, so that should help a bit. And I know the strength penalty will hurt, but I figured I can get around that by mostly tanking strength and going dex-based. It'll boost my AC and offset the low strength. Any reason not to do that?

Also thinking about swapping Wholeness of Body out at level 7 to pick up True Strike through Qinggong Monk for the really heavy targets ("I'm calling you out, brother!" *slaps elbow*).

Other thematic options are Catch Off-Guard for hitting people with chairs. Maybe Dazzling Display for intimidation purposes. I know I'm going to be kind of feat-starved, but I wouldn't mind working in something fun and thematic even if it's not completely optimal.

We're starting at level 5 if that affects anything.

Thoughts? Recommendations?

What kind of pricing is reasonable for a wondrous item that grants DR/-? Price it like AC (DR^2 x 2000gp)?
