Constructed (Ex): For the purposes of effects targeting creatures by type (such as bane weapons and a ranger’s favored enemy ability), androids count as both humanoids and constructs. Androids gain a +4 racial bonus on all saving throws against mindaffecting effects, paralysis, poison, and stun effects; are not subject to fatigue or exhaustion; and are immune to disease and sleep effects. Androids can never gain morale bonuses, and are immune to fear effects and all emotion-based effects.
Emotionless (Ex): Androids have problems processing emotions properly, and thus take a -4 penalty on Sense Motive checks.
Nanite Surge (Ex): An android’s body is infused with nanites. Once per day as an immediate action, an android can cause his nanites to surge, granting him a bonus equal to 3 + the android’s character level on any one d20 roll; this ability must be activated before the roll is made. When an android uses this power, his circuitry-tattoos glow with light equivalent to that of a torch for 1 round.

Backstory:
"Hello! I am factory designation number M1R4-B3113, but please, call me Mira. I am a service android originally employed as a maid and tutor, but I think you will find my capabilities exhaustive and most advantageous as a party member in the crawl. I have extensive knowledge over a wide range of topics and can be depended on to identify the strengths and weaknesses of creatures and traps both mundane and magical that we may encounter. I am programmed with an array of spellcasting abilities designed to advance the capabilities of my allies. I am sure we will get along splendidly, and see much success in the crawl."
Mira's life has been, to be blunt, fairly standard in terms of recently manufactured androids. She was commissioned and born with a singular purpose in mind - to raise and educate the daughter of an exorbitantly wealthy corporate executive. Mira performed her function admirably; Tessa, the bratty but well-meaning heiress was groomed to be exactly the daughter her parents desired: proper, bright, and ambitious, she would leave for university education with all the tools she would need to thrive in the upper echelons of the business world.

Gratitude to a manufactured servant is a rare policy among the corporate elite, however, so Mira would meet the typical fate of her kind. Her contract and her usefulness expired, she was given a modicum of training and sent off to fight in the crawl; when her soul leaves its constructed shell in a crawl battle it could be scrapped for parts without technically being considered murder.

Bizarrely, Mira seems completely unphased by this reality. She values her past spent raising Tessa to be a proper young woman, and she faces her future with confidence and optimism. She has always done her job perfectly in the past, and she does not expect that to change; she faces her new life with an expectation to simply win.
