M Tiefling Magus
Greetings fellows; just letting all my games know that I'm going on a camping thing for three days, starting tomorrow. There's a goodly chance I'll still have internet access but I may not, so I thought I should let you all know in case my posts slow down. Happy new years, everyone!

Greetings fellows; just letting all my games know that I'm going on a camping thing for three days, starting tomorrow. There's a goodly chance I'll still have internet access but I may not, so I thought I should let you all know in case my posts slow down. Happy new years, everyone!
M Tiefling Magus
Lyle turns and stares at the wall for a moment. Finally, he mutters quietly "Very well, Sir Nic, I'll give you three days, and try and find your will and let it be read. Then, we are quits, my friend." Turning to the speaker, he replies "Has no one spoken with them yet? If so, wouldn't you prefer to have their first record? And if not, I would prefer to hear your perception of their reports, if you would be so kind."
M Tiefling Magus
Lyle scratches his chin and thinks. "Telcia, you are the best of us at hidden movement. Shall Rosa and I cast invisibility and flight spells on you and send you in to scout things out? Alternatively we could do the same for me; I can fly in unseen, teleport back, grab you all and teleport in."
M Tiefling Magus
As he watches Rosa's performance, Lyle knows deeply within his heart that she is cruel, terrible and a great force for evil in this land. Sadly, however, he knows that he always finds her unfailingly hilarious and this will most likely lead him down the path of demons. BUT SHE'S JUST SO DAMN AMUSING! Holding in his guffaws, Lyle turns to their new best friend. "What would you say would be the chances of convincing the sisters that you've captured us all? Lock us up and then we break out and spread a little chaos?"
M Tiefling Magus
Lyle takes it with a surprised smile. "My lord- the old fellow owed me money when he died, I thought he'd wrangle his way out of paying it now he'd passed into the beyond... I find myself strangely disappointed. Odd." Turning, Lyle shakes Tanirel's hand and nods. "Lyle Rihannsu, at your service. A fellow acquaintance of Sir Nicolo, I take it?"
M Tiefling Magus
Irritated at her escape, Lyle repeats his grabbing attempt with his new claws. Swift action- arcane accuracy, +6 to hit
M Tiefling Magus
Overhearing, the green-skinned tiefling lifts himself off his table and walks over to Taniriel and the rest. "Afraid I have never met the good fellow, excuse my coming over here but I could hear old Nicolo berating me from beyond the grave for sitting in the dark blathering on with my thoughts. Might I join you?"
M Tiefling Magus
Sitting quietly at a back table, the green-skinned form of the tiefling named Lyle Rihannsu drunkenly grasps his heavy and nearly-empty tankard; the many fresh stains on the table indicate it isn't his first. Raising it, he toasts the empty chair in front of him. "Proud and noble Hellknight, great warrior of the forces of Law, greater enemy of the forces of Chaos and Deceit... and you still manage to die owing me money" Lyle mutters through a thick tongue. Breaking into a small smile, he toasts the chair again. "Fight well in Hell, Nicolo. I've no doubt it's heaven for you, and after an eternity's fighting with your ghost all the demons will desert and make for the Abyss." Raising his tankard, Lyle shoves the remains of his beer down his throat, and THUDs the tankard back onto the table, shortly followed by his head.
M Tiefling Magus
Yeah they should, didn't bother because I was focused on grappling but why not.
M Tiefling Magus
Yeah, I think combat and initiative in particular is being messed up, sorry GM. An obvious symptom- all/most of us have done actions and then its been revealed that the enemy did something for their action before which means ours are invalid. And we don't get a chance to change our actions, they're just wasted. As far as changes to GM, I think you just need to post the enemy's action at the top of the round, since it has the highest initiative, and let us make our actions in response to whatever it does. This'll hopefully prevent invalid/retconned actions and the like.

"Oh, stop prevaricating and get down here and be killed" Lyle mutters irritably. Stepping forward, he casts a spell morphs into a tall creature with a crablike head. Dropping his whip, he slams into her and tries to grapple her. Spell Combat
M Tiefling Magus
Lyle tilts his head curiously at the fallen dwarf as the wave of energy washes over him. "At worst i'd say that tickled, were you expecting more...?" Stepping around the creature carefully, Lyle aims some magic at him and then strikes out with his whip again. Spell Combat

Init1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11 Actions: Swift Action: Arcane Pool. Spend 2 points to buff weapon with Brilliant Energy
Full-Round-Action: Spell Combat, cast Haste and then make my full-attacks, trying to trip the dwarf with each one. 1d20 + 27 ⇒ (15) + 27 = 42 1d20 + 27 ⇒ (11) + 27 = 38 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (20) + 22 = 42 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (18) + 17 = 35 Crit confirm 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (18) + 22 = 40 If I trip him and have attacks leftover, I'll use the rest of the attacks to disarm him, and if I have more leftover after that my damage is 1d6+15
