Lucius will tag along behind Ugh.
Any relevant knowledge checks I could be making?
"My mission is to Kelmarane. If I can accomplish it sooner by helping capture the monastery, so be it."
That a monastery specifically helps him goes unsaid.
Desvartes wrote: "Are either of you healers? This faithful creature," Des indicates the limping and possibly still bleeding cat that has joined them, "Seems in dire need of assistance." "I have exhausted Asmodeus's gifts for today, I'm afraid."
Okay, I can't hurt it...let's try something perhaps a bit different...
Lucius throws himself at the little monster, hand outstretched. Trying to get him with corrupting touch.
Rolls <-Waste of a natural 20.
A new Ray. Better rolls this time.
"I don't know what you are, little freak, but you'd best hold still and face Hell's wrath."
Dennis da Ogre wrote: Lucius notes that this little bugger is VERY hard to hit. Yah. I figured that. Next round he'll switch to rays of frost.
Lucius is going to try to clobber the little runt. (Not that he should be expected to pull it off, even without the bad luck.)
Rolls
Yeah...that's not gonna hit.
Initiative
Lucius is down to 1 HP, so he's going to spend his last 1st level spell to cast infernal healing on himself. His move action will be to heft his mace.
Ogre - LoF wrote: Lucius summons another flickering ball of light and sends it off into the cactus behind him to reveal nothing but a section of cactus rocking gently as if something brushed it. Lucius is gonna give the goat a little infernal healing. One first level spell left for today.
4 and 9
Not being the most perceptive guy, especially in the dark, Lucius is going to float his dancing lights over to the goat and beyond. He'll also cast another set to float over his own head.
Dennis da Ogre wrote: If you guys could please make a listen check and a acrobatics check to move forward without getting skewered.
Rolls
Looks like a 13 acrobatics and 5 perception.
Lucius spreads his hand in the direction of the cactus patch. "Who goes there?"
Casting message to any creatures in the direction of the patch.
Ogre - LoF wrote: Lucius/ Aixa
There are a few drops of blood on the cactus with the hair, it appears to be the color of Savarah's but it's hard to be sure. A few feet back it looks like she stumbled over a cactus just under the surface of the sand.
The tracks in the sand leading from here go directly towards a large cluster of cactus which looms on the edge of the radius of your lights. You feel a sense of dread wash over you and the sounds from the camp seem strangely distant. The light from the sunrod seems to flicker oddly giving everything a harsh, almost sinister appearance.
Lucius will direct his constellation of lights toward the cluster of cactus to see what they reveal.
As the light dims, Lucius begins to mutter in Infernal. <I summon implight, to show my way in darkness.>
Casting dancing lights.
Lucius will inspect the tuft of hair.
Lucius follows Anala, not quite sure where he's being led.
Lucius is going to take a short while to take a dust bath and air out his vestments, then rejoin the investigators.
The Scion of Hell is ready.
Unless something interesting was on that clay shard, Lucius has nothing.
Lucius kicks through the ash and char a bit, not really finding anything of note. The fire destroyed everything. He leaves behind the few scraps of once-molten precious metals to be picked over by scavengers from the camp or, perhaps, reclaimed by the seer's next-of-kin.
He does pick up one of the clay shards to examine.
If there are any nearly intact coins in the jumble, Lucius will put two of them over the corpse's eyes to pay the ferryman, but will not otherwise molest the corpse or the loot.
Aixa bint'Al Majid wrote: "I will go check on my patients and see if they know anything," she tells the others as they investigate the wagon. "Once you're done here, perhaps we can question some of the others as to what they saw. Does anyone wish to accompany me?" She specifically does not look at Lucius as she asks the last question. "Yes. Your patients." Lucius just grins. He keeps sifting through the ruin of the wagon.
Lucius, the Devilson wrote: Under the soothing cool of night (even though his heatstroke still fatigues him), Lucius is going to pick through the remains of the wagon. Lucius's Perception is a whopping +0, so I'm going to roll Appraise instead, to figure out the most valuable item in it.
1d20 + 6 = 19
Under the soothing cool of night (even though his heatstroke still fatigues him), Lucius is going to pick through the remains of the wagon.
Lucius is out of folks to heal and isn't about to throw his strength penalty into the bucket brigade, so he's going to sit tight for a moment until the fire is extinguished and he can sift through the wagon remains.
Lucius reaches over to Aixa's patient, with something of a knowing smirk. He mutters briefly in Infernal.
Casting infernal healing again. Have to show the Dawnflower how its done, apparently.
Ogre - LoF wrote: "when I heard a bit of commotion from the charlatan's wagon." "The Charlatan?", asks Lucius. Lucius is going to examine the wounds on any remaining wounded. Mostly for show, since he has no real skill at mundane healing.
Lucius looks to the halfling and asks "What in the Hells is going on here?"
Lucius, like Aixa, makes a beeline for the wounded (shuffling, overburdened, through the sand.)
Rather than introduce himself, however, he grips his iron pentagram in one hand, an Infernal prayer in his throat, and lays his other hand across one of the guard's wounds.
Casting infernal healing on whichever wounded guard looks to be physically strongest.
Roll
Lucius takes 2 points of nonlethal.
Also, the strength penalty from the fatigue means his speed drops to 20 feet.

Lucius walks alongside the caravan, a sinister figure with a reddish cast to his skin, tiny nubs of horns, and a well-trimmed, dark goatee, bundled up in a black-and-red cassock. I'm pretty sure that a black cassock counts as 'heavy clothing' for the purposes of the heat danger rules.
He attempts to look unbothered by the heat, but it becomes clear to anyone watching him that he refills his waterskin more often than any other member of the group. During the day, he talks little, as he struggles against both the heat and the load supported by his frail frame.
Once night falls, he becomes much more comfortable, falling into theological debates with Aixa (in which he tries to convince her how similar their respective deities really are), trying to embroil other in Chelish politics, or meditates.
Like Aixa, it seems, he has been sent to open a temple. However, rather than reconsecrating a deserted building, he is to found a new one. (This he appears quite proud of. You see, while the cult of the dawnflower is seeking to merely reclaim past glories, Asmodeus's court expands its reach every day.)
Background is up, so I'm pretty much done.
I still hemming and hawing over maybe swapping Bluff for another skill or Charm Person for Infernal Healing (from Gods and Magic), but I should be good to go as-is.
Gear and stats are done. Background later.
All character building choices (except gear) done. Number crunching later.
Character in progress.
