Dantis Aern wrote: Yes, where are we going? Why are we going? And most importantly, Whats in it for me? Lucien glares daggers at the halfling.
"I would watch very closely what I said if I was in your position, lest I slip up and find myself left in the wastes for the vultures to pick at."
"I assume it is settled, then. We shall travel by land."
Lucien pauses for a moment, troubled.
"Where was it that you were going? I can't seem to remember you ever telling me."
"I would advise an overland route, for I have no experience with sailing vessels."
DM Dirk Gently wrote: Do the five of you make your way out of the city?
"I think we should depart from Zhen-to as soon as possible, lest we incur the wrath of the city guards," Lucien states matter-of-factly as he turns to Davos (Lucien has deduced that he must be the 'leader' of the motley trio). "What say you that the five of us* travel together for the time being?"
*Lucien has thought about Arik's statement that Dantis may be useful. And, from a metagame standpoint, it's time we got this show on the road. Literally.
It's official--this thread has been jacked. Time to put a stop to what I have created.
Lucien raises an eyebrow to Arik's comment, then turns around to keep an eye on Dantis.
Arik Tenthous wrote: That is true Lucain, still if he is to steal from us and we are in the middle of nowhere, what can he do? They would kill him. He wouldn't survive. Great. Now it makes even less sense. >SLAM< Ow. I think we should just drop it so we can carry on with the RP.
Arik Tenthous wrote: Lucien Naiilo the Marked wrote:
I'm losing brain cells by the second... i took out the random monsters ok >SLAM< >SLAM< >SLAM< JUST STOP IT!
Arik Tenthous wrote: Lucien Naiilo the Marked wrote: Arik Tenthous wrote: "Will he coward to a dragon? or a kolbolt? They would kill him. He wouldn't survive. Huh? Arik is trying to saying in other word if the halfling does anything funny then you can kill him. I was speaking wixish again sorry and yes i know it was random. SHUT UP MR. SHINY! hahahaha I'm losing brain cells by the second...
Arik Tenthous wrote: "Will he coward to a dragon? or a kolbolt? They would kill him. He wouldn't survive. Huh?
Arik Tenthous wrote: He looks at the Halfling, "and you lad, why don't you come along too, there will be treasure i can assure you." Arik turns to look at the akkadan, "Don't worry about him." Arik says to Lucain"he will help us." "I'm not sure you understand, Arik Tenthous. This thief is a halfling. A fully grown halfling that uses his appearance to make others believe he is a child. And he is a very, very good actor."
Wulfdayn Gart'th wrote:
"The business of the Hathir are none of yours! Tell me: who do you think you are to try and include yourself in our affairs without so much as a name, Stranger? And you'd do well to start off with an explanation as to why you and your child are sneaking around behind us."
"Child?" Lucien glances over his shoulder to see the thief who accosted him earlier standing not ten feet behind him.
"That's no child," snarls Lucien as he turns around fully to look Dantis in the eye, "that's a halfling thief."
Lucien turns back to Wulfdayn.
"And he's been following me for the past hour."
He turns back to Dantis.
"...Haven't you, you little maggot." The way Lucien says this makes his question sound more like a statement.
Still speaking in hushed tones, Lucien speaks again.
"I am Lucien Naiilo, student of magics arcane, divine, and druidic. I wander the wastes searching for knowledge and purpose...
But that's not important right now. What's going on?"
Lucien, realizing the gig is up, steps out of the shadows towards the unlikely trio. Pointing to the shorter of the two Hathir, a strange look comes over his face. He begins to speak in a hushed voice, so as not to attract undue attention.
"I know you. I have had dealings with you and your tribe before. However, I do not know your two companions. What business do two tribesmen have with an Akkadian?"
By the way, Lucien has not noticed the fact that he is being tailed by Dantis.
DM Dirk Gently wrote: Lucien Naiilo the Marked wrote: Is Lucien close to Davos, Wulfdayn, and Arik? If so, does Lucien overhear their conversation? Yes, you can hear the conversaion of the Akkadian and his "slaves" if he leaves the compound. Dantis can as well if he follows. As he walks away from the guards, Lucien hears a rather interesting conversation between an Akkadian and two Hathir tribesmen. He also recognizes one of the Hathir from his dealings with the southern tribes. Lucien moves closer to try to hear more.
Dantis Aern wrote: What I do depends on whether or not Lucien continues menacing me.
I continue to cower and snuffle behind the guard, waiting for Lucien to leave.
Lucien is beginning to get frustrated with his rotten luck, and decides that the halfling is not worth his while. He snarls out a curse and whips around, his cloak trailing in the dust as he strides away.
Is Lucien close to Davos, Wulfdayn, and Arik? If so, does Lucien overhear their conversation?
Dantis Aern wrote: By the way, did I get Lucien's purse and get seen as I ran away with it or did I just get spotted? You just got spotted. Lucien doesn't carry any money.
Arik Tenthous wrote:

Dinner? DINNER? What the f!~&?

Lucien gives a snarl of anger and raises his hand, pointing at the thief.
Casts Command
"Halt, miscreant. You have lied, as well as stolen. If you have any sense at all, you will tell the truth, or I will be forced to bring my more powerful spells to bear."
Note: the only thing Dantis is obligated to do as a result of the spell is stand perfectly still and stay quiet for 1 minute.
Arik Tenthous wrote: If Guard makes will save then Arik puts away his horn and readys his rapier. Dude, guard is his profession, not his first name.
Dantis Aern wrote: I do go that way
I look up at the guard and say in a whiney small child's voice "Please, help me sir. A friend of mine father's is in there and I don't knoe where my fatehr is and that big man over there (pointing at Lucien) looks like hes chasing me. Help me? Please let me in. My father's friend will know what to do. I'll be safe with him. Please?". All the while I continue to snuffle pathetically and tears brim in my eyes.
Just as Dantis finishes his act, Lucien catches up with him.
"That's no child! It's a halfling, and he tried to steal from me!" shouts Lucien.
DM Dirk Gently wrote: Lucien, what is your course of action? As I stated earlier, Lucien Runs after the halfling as a full-round action.
Arctaris wrote: I begin to dash away from my target.
I am going to run as a full round action.
Lucien sees the half-sized pickpocket begin to sprint away, and follows suit, silently loping towards the small figure, his long legs easily covering the ground.
Lucien also Runs as a full-round action.
Do I know where the prisoners are being held?

Arctaris, do you always play halflings?
Anyway,
Lucien is completely disgusted with the city.
He mutters to himself as he strides through the streets of Zhen-to, the pedestrians giving him a wide berth*.
"Why did I come here. With bastions of decadence and crime like this one, it's a small wonder Tenma hasn't spread his influence throughout Amahra. And they call the Jotnir barbarians..."
*Note: Lucien's appearance:
Lucien Naiilo, known throughout Amahra by various names (the Wanderer, the Marked One, Oath-Breaker, and others) cuts a striking figure.
Standing well over six feet tall, his Elven heritage is clearly evident in his pointed ears and odd-colored (one brown, one a rather unnatural shade of azure), almond-shaped eyes. Lucien's sallow skin, pulled taut over ropy muscles, is covered in small brands, which for anyone who can read Abyssal read 'Oath-Breaker'. He also sports several facial scars, including a large, crescent-shaped one that cuts across the bridge of his nose and down his left cheek, as well as a trio of jagged lines that are barely hidden by his shoulder-length, braided blue-black hair.
Lucien wears a suit of patchworked leather adorned with feathers, colored stones, and animal bones, and also wears a long, white, hooded cloak. He carries a giant stone-headed flail with a handle made from the shank-bone of a dire wolf. Around Lucien's waist is a thick leather belt with twelve heavily carved coyote thighbones dangling from it (this serves as his spellbook).
Whene Lucien speaks, it sounds like the thunder of an approaching sandstorm. Although he appears ragged, even frightening, he carries himself with the bearing of a king, and scorns those who underestimate him based on his strange appearance.
OK, can we start yet?
Dirk Gently wrote: Laucian Naiilo the Marked wrote: What exactly is the cosmology of the Amahra setting? Standard? Why would your character know this? All you would need to know is that all the summoned monsters are available from somewhere. No plane-traveling backstories. No one on the material plane has any idea what the other planes are, if they do in fact exist, though the tribal people talk of numerous "spirit realms". I was merely wondering from a metagame standpoint. I like to have a feel for the setting as a whole before I create a backstory. I know this isn't planescape.
Also, does Tenma have agents on the Prime? Dark cults?
What exactly is the cosmology of the Amahra setting? Standard?
Arik Tenthous wrote: Dirk Gently wrote: Arik Tenthous wrote: Dirk can your computer read Microsoft Excel? Just wanted to make sure Just send me the stats, it doesn't have to be in a special spreadsheet.
And that's a very good question. I don't have Microsoft Excel on my computer, but I do have Microsoft Works Spreadsheet. No idea if the two are compatable. God, my computer sucks. just sent the character card, hope it works Ditto. By the way, what's all this skyte I'm hearing about Excel? How does making a character sheet involve taxes?
