Im having to try flying in early on Tuesday, to make the pre-gencon Scotty's PFS event.

Wouldn't mind trying to carpool to the brewhouse. Can pay gas or food if someone in area is on there way to the brewhouse.

Otherwise lonely Uber it is.

The vanara just started in June. The quarters seem to go from GenCon to GenCon, rather than the conventional ones.

Vanara started in May.That's when I got mine. Following the trend of Grippli, and Dhampir, and ratfolk, the boons were in circulation for 3 months at a time.

If they haven't put out a new one yet, I guess we will wait and see.

Anyone willing to pick me up from La Quinta Inn Indianapolis Airport Executive Drive Wed morning before Scotty's PFS event.

Thought I'd ask before getting Uber. Would pay with gas or food at Scotty's.

Last year I got a la Quinta room Tuesday night for $80 near airport. Then carpooled to pub and then to the hotel. Worked out pretty well.

Samurai Question:
The Sovereign Blade archetype gains the following spell-like ability. What I cannot discern is what ability score it is based on to determine the DC of the effect. I am inclined to say Charisma based on other class features, but would like confirmation.

"Sovereign Breath (Sp)
At 6th level, the sovereign blade can issue forth an immense roar similar to the breath weapon of a sovereign dragon. This functions as Dragon’s Breath (spell), except it deals sonic damage in a 30-foot cone and has a caster level equal to half the sovereign blade’s samurai level. The sovereign blade can use this ability once per day, plus one additional time per day at 12th and 18th levels.
This replaces the bonus feats a samurai gained at 6th, 12th, and 18th level."
--
"Dragon’s Breath
School evocation [acid, cold, electricity, or fire]; Level alchemist 4, bloodrager 4, magus 4, sorcerer/wizard 4; Subdomain dragon 4; Elemental School air 4, earth 4, fire 4, water 4
CASTING
Casting Time 1 standard action
Components V, S, M (a dragon scale)
EFFECT
Range 30 ft. or 60 ft.
Area cone-shaped burst or line
Duration instantaneous
Saving Throw Reflex half; Spell Resistance yes
DESCRIPTION
You breathe out a blast of energy. Creatures in the affected area take 1d6 points of energy damage per caster level (maximum of 12d6). A successful Reflex save results in half damage. The spell’s effect and energy type depend on the type of dragon scale used:
Black dragon: 60-foot line of acid.
Blue or bronze dragon: 60-foot line of electricity.
Green dragon: 30-foot cone of acid.
Gold or red dragon: 30-foot cone of fire.
Silver or white dragon: 30-foot cone of cold.
Brass dragon: 60-foot line of fire.
Copper dragon: 60-foot line of acid."

I can't remember correctly, but I think each gm is not allowed to do 3 in a row now. Or it could've been a dream that I heard that.

Eight months as an exclusive is disappointing?

As opposed to Samsaran that has had 2 years? Yes.

Don't get me wrong though. I have no problem with gencon tier boons becoming seasonal gm boons. But statistically, grippli, ratfolk, and samsaran had a significant amount of exclusivity than the vanaran.

And for scenarios or eventual conflicts:
I may have missed a scenario, or haven't played on yet that incorporated the conflict between Apsu and Dahak. But i have seen plenty of other scenarios that had interest of one deity's followers certainly spitting on another's. Mainly Pharasma and Zyphus.

I have two tables of this module running at my store. We will be starting part 3 next weekend.

The book portrays it as an exploration mechanic. The hex grid map that came with the book was used during part two. Setting up pieces and castle pieces as locstions. But alot of the quests they get from the town before departure should help the group figure out what direction from the village they should head.

I used the quests as an emphasis to thoroughly explore and chart out the just flew hexes. In order to obtain the most reward money when the return to the village. With so much time it takes to travel and explore each hex, I made sure they ticked off rstions, which lead into some of the players becoming fatigued after exploring for days on end.

I'll send the adjustment to herolab tagged as not PFS legal as a lot of people have and do use that and there is widespread confusion from those who didn't understand including me apparently.

Did we ever get a confirmation or insight from John Compton?

Initially what is stopping me from making a handout of common tactical hand gestures and going over group tactics before our scenario mission with my fellow Pathfinders? Which would only strengthen roleplay throughout the session.

It's my understanding that Pathfinders share valuable information with each other whether it is tactical, educational, or fundamental. Going over group dynamics and adaptability seems logical. Including tactical signage. But it would help for future player characters if we had a definite answer or alternative to allow such characters the room to take such a language.

Rusty Dragon inn set was $50 last i saw. So makes sense for the playset. Just wondering when i can preorder this.

Social Identity I came up with and still used from beta last year.

Professor Devlin Melavante, esteemed colleague of the University of Absalom also known as the Arcanamirium. Being a high functioning member of society he is naturally a scholar and philosopher of history.

Vigilante identity:
The Swift Montante or just Montante.

Montante: a ascending vertical cut with a rapier

He is commonly hired by Professor Melavonte while he is on contract to the Pathfinder Society for archeological studies. It is said that Montane is or has become a a Pathfinder Agent.

Pharasmin Inquisitor Gunslinger of Vieland, Ustalav.
Johanna Iona Vlaicu
Gunslinger 3 (Musket Master)
Inquisitor 2 (Kinslayer)

Will be building mainly Inquisitor after 7 levels of Gunslinger.
Built with the idea of the Blade movies. (Anyone got Tian weapon training)

Why I built her this way. Ranged Combat. Great Dex, Great Wis. Saves are AMAZING. Kinslayer dhampir archtype give detect undead as at will spell, it is a godsend ability. Synergy of Wisdom with both classes is great, and stacks initiative. Spells of Inquisitor give great buffing power and undead slaying abilities. Gunslinger allows me to deliver it from afar while looking like a true Van Helsing/Blade character (BA).

I can confirm that there was not a vampirism corruption boon. Robert is correct about the boons.

To be clear, the corruption boons do not use the rules from Horror Adventures. The boons comprise of a penalty, and a series of tasks to remove the penalty and turn it into a benefit.

Dude, if there is even a hint of a chance to play a werewolf, I'm down.

Said boons are great roleplay devices but impart a negative side effect until you complete steps to purify said corruptions. When you do, you gain a nifty bonus for doing so. So sally they are not race boons.

Being a fairly new player, I don't have a correct leveled character to tackle the 4 part series. And I wish to do so with a special race boon character. If I can't in time, I would still love to gm it once.

So earlier scenarios should already be in our downloads? Or should they arrive in the next week or so? Just a little confused by how you worded that. I just checked, and the already available scenario I'll be running several times at Gen Con (7-21 The Sun Orchid Scheme) isn't in my downloads.

Also, if we're supposed to be ready to run all three of the level 1 evergreens, do we get those for free, too? I've already got The Confirmation and The Compact Consortium, but not The Wounded Wisp. I'm not that concerned about it, though. Given how unlikely it is to matter, I figured I'd make sure I was prepped and ready to GM the two out of three that I already have, and not worry about the third.

I'll be right there with you... gming Sun Orchid Scheme 5 times through the weekend. Already ran it locally, so if you need pointers let me know.

As I recall you only need 1 evergreen prepared. I'll be preparing Consortium.

I could be wrong, but a module grants XP and is an 'adventure'...

The problem I see is this is not seen in chapter 6 for modules and adventure paths of the society guild guide. If it is I missed it. And one could argue that adventure paths and modules are not part of the Society Campaign, because they are not scenarios.
