Logan stands at the forefront of the group with his swords drawn. "Smells like death. At least it's not underground."
Looking longfully at his glass of whiskey, "I guess that's our cuew." Logan stands up and draws his swords. As he walks toward the door, Logan looks back at his companions with a wink, "Care to join me?"
Logan begins clapping his hands and somping his foot. With a sharp whistle, Logan yells, "Now that's what I'm talking about!"
Laughing, "Elmo, what great wisdom you bring to my ears! I am sure that I am already in your debt." Taking another swig of whiskey, "I wonder if there is any entertainment here?"
"I'll be having the whiskey." Looking around at the town, "wonder if there is anything worth doing here."
"Let us get on our way again. We still have a long ride before us."
"I don't see to well at night but I've got pretty sharp eyes." I'll take a watch either second or third. my passive perception is 16.

"Agreed. We should probably set u a watch for this evening. Three watches with at least one person on each. I'll take the first watch."
Riding up with a team of horses, Logan calls out to his companioins, "Hail all! The local lord has allowed me to commendear these horses for our journey. We should leave as soon as possible."
If we have access to horses, then I say we take them.
Rubbing his temples after his two day "reprive" Logan sees his companions and waves them over. "If there are no more delays, might I suggest that we move with haste. Winterhaven is a long ways away and there is no telling what those cultists are up to."
Logan will spend the next two days in silent contemplation. i.e. sipping whiskey next to a fire.
Logan leaves the sewer muttering about how he hates it underground. After returning to his home, he uncorks his bottle of whiskey before sitting down to pen a letter: My Lord, I and a group of citizens have thwarted a cult of Orcus within the city. They had planned to sacrifice a young girl. When the citizens and I finished off the cult remnants within the sewers, I discovered documentation that suggests that the cult is headquarted in the "Shadow Keep" near Winterhaven. I am leaving immediately to further persue these cultists. I will send word as often as I am able. If I do not return, give my back pay to the locals and send an army to Winterhaven. Your obediant servant, Marshall Logan Draknir.
"There. That should work as a will. Where did I find my pipe?" After sealing and sending his letter, Logan finishes his bottle and goes to sleep.
DM Dave wrote: On the alter, you find a scrap of paper. There is writing on it. It says "Have left for the Shadow Keep near Winterhaven, Bring the girl there." "It appears that the cult has moved. On behalf of the lord of these lands, I would like to thank you all for the assistance that you have rendered. As a marshal, I will have to persue this further. I cannot offere anything if you wish to come with me to investigate this; however, it would not be outside my powers to promise an equal share in any unclaimed loot that we find." Logan walks toward the exit, "I will inform the local church of this place so that they may remove the taint festering here. I plan on leaving in the morning if any of you wish to join me."
Logan slings his bow, picks up his other sword, and begins examinng the room. "I hate demon cults." Perception check: 1d20+6=14

Dave, would you kindly take over Logan or have him imcapacitated or eaten by a mysterious monster. I've enjoyed the game so far and would like to return once I get my internet connection figured out.
