If you're serious about wanting to license recreated maps, you should send a business proposal to licensing@paizo.com. The worst they're gonna say is "no" and you can keep doing what you've been doing. But they might also say yes. :)

Removed some heated posts and their responses. Please keep your feedback civil, and refrain from personal attacks. In addition, our players come from many different backgrounds, and the implication that their opinion is somehow less valid to Paizo because they only have a single PDF or use an online reference as opposed to someone who's been a customer for over a decade is flat-out wrong. You are all our customers, and you may express your opinions--positive or otherwise--on our forums. Just please follow the Community Guidelines when you do, thanks!

Cafe Mox or Mox Boarding House. I would also check any of the Half-Price Books in the area—it's not unknown to see a Planescape boxed set or similar 2E-era releases.

One possible solution to keeping people's home games from being modified inadvertently by changes like these is to make each version of the online rulebooks on the PRD and SRD toggle-able by errata. That way, the home-game GM could declare that they're using the first printing of Ultimate Equipment, and the players can still look it up online.

^ Can you actually do the above as of now?

No.
Perhaps putting older versions in parenthesis is an option?

The problem is, we would have to roll *back* to the original, then roll forward again, reduplicating a lot of hours of work that we really don't have to spare on a team of two people, who already have a lot on their plates. The scope (and content) of the PRD has grown beyond its original vision, and to any sort of versioning efficiently would require restructuring it significantly. It's not impossible, just not really feasible right now.

That being said, I am restructuring what I can when I can to make things less maintenance-heavy (if only so I can focus on building useful tools using the data we have :D ).

I feel that it's worth mentioning at this point that every time a group of Paizo employees goes to Ooba for lunch, they refer to us collectively as 'Cosmo'.

We use his name in vain frequently.

Another slightly related piece of feedback: When admins delete posts from threads, please leave the post in their post history so that they can revisit and revise posts that may infringe some rule or other. I didn't particularly like that I had to retype my post from scratch.

You can make such a request by emailing community@paizo.com.

Here's our official stance on using digital tools to create portraits of your characters:

Using digital tools (such as Blender, 3D-Max, DAZ, Photoshop, Manga Studio, SAI, etc.) are acceptable means of producing your final art for this contest. Modeling assets or digital brushes are not any different than having a selection of paint and canvas at your disposal—what matters is the final form that is sufficiently unique to claim it as your own. You put in the hours to tweak textures, remodel hair, set up the pose, lighting, background? It counts.

Pick your favorite render and send it. :)
