Kasatha Operative - Multi Weapon Fighting - 4 melee Weapons - 1st level

Total number of attacks please

Two. But they are at -3 / -3 instead of -4 / -4.

Just to clarify, it's - 3 because of the operative, not because of the race.. Right?

You could take the opening volley feat for better melee the next hit after shooting?

Correct me if I am wrong but I thought when buying gear you can buy within 2 lvls up without breaking anything. Of course that means at the starting 1,000 you would not be able to get very much or quality other gear.

Laughing is right. You can start buying +1 item level above your level, +2 is in a large city

Oh ok, thanks for the reply :)

How did the sharpshooter go?? I want to build either an operative or soldier sniper.. But starting to really feel like the sniper rifles are gimped and very circumstantial..

Esspecially when it seems so easy to cover distance!

Where there many opportunities to use the 500+ feet range??

Brilliant! Now that we've clarified that. As states in the OP, what are your thoughts on it.

What I'm trying to say is, are there more items to buy to boost stats, that more people would be compelled to buy, over items that might add more flavour to their character :)

So I know that nothing is 'compulsory', but looking through the items, with the possibility of having 3 items that each add to a different stat, it seems like this 'kind of' locks people into buying some/all of them..

I'm not a min/max kind of guy, and love being able to rp.. But pathfinder you could do your stats and focus on items that added abilities until a certain is level, where you could then boost a few..

What's your thoughts?? Have I not given the new system enough time to sink in, or do you think the lower ability scores and easier ways to pump it up will work better and having less items you 'need to buy'

You can get tricks with snipers, after level 6.

I also thought you could get an adamantine sniper.. Speeder full of bad guys racing towards your position on an open plain?? A few piercing shots might slow them down and soften them up ;)

Also I haven't checked what penalties would be included with using a jet pack and sniper :)

There's not much of a tax with using them, just the proficiency really.. But most encounters will be close, so it's a situation weapon for sure.. I just loved the idea :)

But yeah.. Thoughts on snipers not having to be prone? Or at least, no bonus to being prone?

I said operative melee weapons use dex to hit..

Yeah I am well aware of sniping from distance mate.. That still doesn't talk about being too far away from combat, or the fact noone wants to sit around a table while the one player takes 6 rounds of combat before anyone else, and having the enemies on full alert..

I also noticed the sniper template under soldier has laser something or other, but the sniper rifles are projectiles, not laser??

Also only operative melee weapons add dex to hit, so again, soldier seems not too good?

I mean, unless as the sniper is circumstantial, the soldier has an easier time also specialising with another group?

That's another problem.. 1 shot a round, plus you're too far away from the party to be of any real assistance (can't really be a proper target for enemies, can't heal if needed urgently).. I'm sure I'm just thinking about this wrong..

So I'm not sure if I'm missing a few things here! First of all what's bothering me about starfinder is them removing the bonus to hit when prone with some ranged weapons (like Pathfinders crossbows).

Sniper rifles need a move action to steady, before shooting at 500+ feet, but what, standing? What sniper shoots standing! Why wouldn't you either need to be prone, or get a bonus!?

I'm I missing anything else in that operatives can get some tricks with them past level 6, but what do soldiers get any extra bonuses?

Hey guys,

I'm pretty amped about getting started on the whole adventure card game.

I'm looking to get the subscriptions each month as they come out but not too keen on paying for all the postage and handling. So does anyone know of distributors here in Australia? I'm over in Perth.

Also am interested in joining any tables or upcoming games in either pathfinder or this card game.

I did find this one site with free shipping, but they don't have some of the modules.

Hey guys!

I've read through a fair few threads, but looking to see if anyone knows of people recently looking to get a group together in Perth, or if anyone can point me in the direction to be looking?

Thanks :)
