Lillia notices the suspicious glances the group is garnering in the tavern, and decides it would be best to take her questions onto the street where she would not immediately be associated with the recent eruption of violence. Sorry; I tried to post yesterday, but the Pathfinder Online kickstarter, and the RPG superstar seem to have combined to break the site. "Good morning, sir." Lillia says, keeping a distance so as to avoid looming over the rotund halfling, "Would i be right in guessing that you are the one people call Small Otti? We hear that you run a good reliable ship." "My name is Lillia, and these are my companions, Targ, Crar, Bedmyr, and Latharel." She indicates each in turn, "We were hoping that we might book passage with you on your next voyage, not too much of a detour for you I hope; just out to Escadar. And we'd be willing to compensate you for your time, of course, or even work for our passage, if you prefer... I've just been on a trip with these gentlemen cooking for me, and the things they can do with a rabbit and a few leaves!" Diplomacy: 1d20 + 6 + 2 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 6 + 2 + 3 = 24

"Assuming, of course, that she does hate the Society." Lillia comments softly, "she might not blame the society for her father's absence, but instead want nothing more than to learn more about the sort of man he was... if she holds what I can only guess is a Wayfinder so dear, then she may even be a potential recruit. I don't think we should discount her until we have at least had an opportunity to meet the woman."
Female Human Witch 1
Overhearing the conversation from her vantage-point watching the gamblers, Lillia casually makes her way back to the bar. "Mad, you say? Well, he's certainly... colourful, isn't he." She says with a smile, "though if he never fails to bring home a catch, I suppose he must be doing something right." "What about these other two, though... surely there's more to them than a temper and an appetite?" Diplomacy to assist: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21

Catching her breath once she pulled herself onto the ledge, she dusts herself down while looking over the statue. "Looks like this might be a memorial to the Lady Kayle," the scarred woman comments, pulling out a gold coin from within her robes and dropping it into the bowl along with the others, "If I remember my parents stories correctly, she gave her life in a battle against a terrible dragon around a hundred years ago... Maejerex, I think her name was, and the stories paint her as quite a terrifying beast that spread death and destruction all across the isle of Kortos until she was slain by Lady Kayle and her band."

"We should find shelter soon," Lillia says, looking at the bodies apprehensively, "I doubt this wagon will be mobile any time soon, and its benefits as a shelter are clearly insufficient to stand up to the weather up here."

Hopefully the dice will favour us a little more, soon. Lillia's hair continues to whirl about her, but rather than continuing her seemingly ineffectual assault, she glares at the strange beast with her green-glowing eye, and emits a metalling screeching sound from deep within her throat. Evil eye, for -2 AC for 7 rounds, or 1 round if it makes the Will save DC 14. Increasing either of those durations by one round with cackle.

"As I was saying," Lillia says with an arced eyebrow at the antics, pulling her staff out of the river where she had been prodding, and tapping it on the ground to shake off the mud, "perhaps fording would be easier... it doesn't seem too deep over here."

Once camp is set, Lillia retrieves a long oak container from the packs taken off the back of her mule. Opening it, she takes out a half finished pocket-watch, the brass backplate hanging open to reveal an intricate combination of cogs and springs. As the scarred young woman carefully aligns the components in the casing, a silvery arachnid skitters between her hands and the box to gently nudge various tools with its legs, almost as though to draw her attention to those which she would need next. "A very generous gift," Lillia says as the items are handed to Crar, "I have nothing suitable to give in return, other than our assurance that we will strive to settle the matter of the cat while we travel through the forest." As the centaurs are turning to leave, the witch is struck by a thought, and she holds up a hand, "Oh, before you go, as you said it is unusual for our kind to venture this far away from the city; but have you encountered any others of us recently?"

As the group gets underway, eventually leaving civilisation behind, Lillia moves to match pace with Nester. "So, I understand that the item we're going to be trading to the Gillmen is a fairly unremarkable piece on its own," she starts, in a curious voice, "but what about the Azlanti relic we're getting in return? Do you know what to expect, or are you just going to confirm its origin?" Survival: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 12

As a spellcaster, Lillia would like to take either the first or last watch. I'd suggest keeping our animals (3 ponies and a donkey,) towards the east side of the clearing, while we sleep closer to the fire. Whoever is on watch will need to keep an eye on both trails though. I'm happy for you to roll initiative.

Lillia would be willing to use the wand, she sees a big difference between things that are philosophically evil, and harmfully evil. I'll pick up a cold weather outfit, too, along with a climbing kit. There's already 7 days worth of rations on Lillia's donkey, which will get replenished once we're back, so that can be added to the cost now to keep things simpler.

"I'm hardly an expert," Lillia speaks softly, looking at the map with a dubious eye, "so hopefully someone else will be able to make more sense of this than I can, but there doesn't seem to be any landmarks or a scale on this map. I'm having a hard time seeing how we can follow it in anything but the most general of terms... sticking close to a particular path might be tricky."
