Thursday nights, 6-7pm until about 11:30pm. One of the players works graveyard, the others work in fast food. One of them delivers the almighty pizza, and it would be a cold day in Baator before he got a Friday night off.

*sighs*
I miss being a kid and being able to play all Friday AND Saturday night gaming. Damn those responsibilities!

Anything from the Indian culture would be a good cultural reference - after all, that is where the rakshasa originates. Some quick links include:

Specifically, look at <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vibhishana">Vibhishana</a>, who was a good rakshasa. Interesting stuff.

Overall, the concept of a rakshasa monk is a good one, especially if he/she/it follows the path of Vibhishana.

I am looking for some info about Rakshasa culture.

How do they chose their names?
How do they organize thei community (tibes, clans, families)?
Are all Rakshasa spellcasters or does their society know fighters & monks?
I would like to make a lawful-neutral Rakshasa monk, this is why I ask.
Unfortunatelly Rakshsa seem to be mosty lawful-evil spellcasters.

If you want power components then check out Unearthed Arcana. There is a list of over 100 power components for use with different spells. Of course, the components are listed not as a way of alleviating XP costs, but to allow free metamagic usage. You would have to present your own modifications to use the list in your campaigns.

Your site friggin' rocks, man. Although I don't use miniatures for my game, I am envious of your tabletop setup.

I use my laptop for:

- Rules reference (via my d20 SRD site)
- Combat tracking
- Campaign logs
- Character generation
- Game sheets (character records, status logs, consumable items logs, spell sheets)
- Dice rolling
- Music

We also have this nifty tabletop projection setup. It rocks for mapping and displaying visual aids.

It's had a huge impact on our game and was relatively easy and cheap to implement.

1.) You can save skill points between levels.
2.) Feats can be purchased at 10 skill points.
3.) Epic feats can be purchased at 20 skill points.

I have to agree with Mark Chin - the world is what you make of it.

I *like* the plain vanilla ness of the Greyhawk setting - it drops into any campaign with little or no tweaking, and it gives newbies an easy-to-digest setting without going into the depth and crunch of say FR or Eberron.

I would hate to see this one go - it provided many a foundation for a lot of games, and with the popularity of the Greyhawk adventure settings (esp the Shackled City Adventure Path) in Dungeon, it would be a damn shame.
