Oath, the "chainmail" is triple-layered sequinned fabric, put right-to-wrong side to dull the sequins. I used the _really_ cheap stuff, I think it was like .50 a yard or so! ... Yes, I committed a costuming sin, but it looks pretty convincing, so that makes it okay, right?

Hey everyone! I'm really sorry for my extended absence. As I'm sure you've come to realize, I can no longer run this game.

I moved to Utah the first week of June and have not had (reliable) internet access until now -- and I'm stealing some wi-fi from a local cafe! Due to my work schedule, I just don't have time to run this anymore.

I'm really sorry for doing this to you guys, and I do feel bad about it. Hopefully, we will be able to game in the future, if I ever have the time. I'm really sorry to let you all down. It was REALLY awesome to get as many posts as we did, and you guys are all great! Roll some 20s, and I hope to hear from you all in the future!

As you've certainly noticed, I'm really, really slammed with school work at the moment, and should be for the next month. I'm literally pulling more than 12 hours of a day AT school just to stay afloat.

(I'm a triple major, getting my degrees Religious Studies, History, and a BFA in Costume Production for Theatre, if you were wondering.)

Would anyone object if we had a month-long hiatus while I finish up this semester?

I can try to post some, but I don't want to just post crap to post, and decent stuff (and I really like the direction this game is going) will require more time to post, time which I do not have.

I've always wanted to run a campaign with the possibility of kindling something huge (which, due to my rather heavy-handed tactics and railroading I may have set forth -- sorry for being a hind-end DM), and with as long as this game has been going, I'd rather not see it die.

We could take a month-long break, or one of you could step up and run this for a short time.

You can burn AP to speed them up, but action points are incredibly sparse, and I've seen the Artificer Guide back from when I played 3.5.

In regards to the ToS artificer, I looked over it, but I didn't really like it.

Hopefully I can get some feedback on the Engineer alchemist soon, as that seems, at least to me, to be pretty close thematically. It also retains some of the old artificer infusions from Eberron, which I loved.

I'll take a look at it and post tomorrow - probably about this time. Tomorrow's my long day for school.

Hello Mark/Everyone,

I'm a bit late to the game as far as the open call is concerned having submitted last Wednesday, but I was wondering what is the current estimated time to hear from the staff, either in the form of a "We've received your submission" or an "accepted/rejected" reply? The current call seems to indicate around 72 hours, but some of the posts in this forum indicate otherwise.

I sent my submission in in early August (shortly before GenCon), didn't hear back until shortly before September (and even then, only to confirm they received it). The message said they would look over it in the order it was received. That leads me to believe they are behind or there are just too many submission to get to in the 72 hour time period.

Any news on Artificer? I rather like Warforged Artificers, and MG, if Eberron Artificers are allowed, you may have to hit me. If I am able, I'll be making a warforged artificer, which I've always found to be really fun, and tend to make them with at least mithral skin, if not adamantine.

I have not gotten around to fixing the class up to Pathfinder rules, but if you want to do so, be my guest. :)

I'm guessing it's their heavy psionic presence, as well as the Quori, or whatever they're called.

Exactly, I love them, and have a good time playing them, but for this campaign - and due to the lack of Pathfinder Material on Psionics, I'd rather not deal with them right now.

Sorry Edgar, not Kalashtar in this campaign. They bring too much with them.

Wealth by Level, yep. And find some traits using Google, and I'll fix them as needed. We don't have a shifter in the group, so I don't have any problems with whatever you find at the moment. I'll fix it later.

Well very basic idea was a kind of street-urchin type character raised on the streets of a city in Karrnath, possibly bumping into the party somewhere near the border.

Flesh something out, I like the concept a ton!

Shifters would most likely be hard to fit into the intrigue and political schemes of the campaign, but draft something up and we'll check it out. I always try to say 'yes'!

I just moved all my belongings to Milwaukee today, and only have the core Rulebook at my home in Black River, so I can't say for sure, as I don't have the exact rules in front of me to make the decision, but for now I will say yes unless I examine it in a few weeks and find it to be too unbalancing. :)
