Female Halfling Shaman (Serendipity Shaman) 1

I hope not

In any case, I'm off till Monday

Female Halfling Shaman (Serendipity Shaman) 1

Lani shakes her head dismissively while she moves to the upper deck, still bearing the same smile on her face. She shielded her eyes from the glare of the sun when she emerged on deck.

I'll probably multiclass into Lore Warden fighter at some point by the way, to get my feat problem sorted as that normally wouldn't be handled till somewhere level 9-12.

I originally wasn't sure how to handle it exactly but I made the Lore Warden sort of mandatory as I need Combat Expertise but forgot to get my Int to 13. It's rather stupid of me :)

Female Halfling Shaman (Serendipity Shaman) 1

Lani gets up after the others, rubbing the sleep out of her eyes. When she sees her current predicament she sighs, straightens out her clothes and moves in line with the others. She offers the man with the whip a wry smile as she shrugs. "Ready when you are, guv'."

Lani is done now.

I still hate how I'll need two feats to actually be any good in melee :S
I'm glad I won't be grappling for quite a few levels though, means I can first get other feats before having to get Agile Maneuvers.

Female Halfling Shaman (Serendipity Shaman) 1

The last two days have been silly hot here and I have spent my time away from my PC so Lani isn't done yet.

As far as combat goes, Lani doesn't hit hard but she strikes true and the idea for her is to take people down, literally.

It's too bad that weapon finesse only works for trip, disarm and sunder maneuvers now I have to get both that, in order to hit on attacks, and agile maneuvers, in order to hit with things like grapple and dirty trick.

As for inspiring to join light and goodness, Lani is Lawful Neutral and all about enjoying life while pushing yourself. She just goes with the flow, as long as it doesn't contradict her ideas or is overly evil.

Lani checking in and getting building

I honestly hadn't expected this, but then again the best games so far were games I didn't expect to get into :)

Lani has the Ship's Surgeon trait as she is a carpenter by trade, just like her father.

I also still have an older idea for this AP, which is a Kobold Waves Oracle who eventually goes to become a Dragon Disciple through the Scaled Disciple feat. He'll turn blue through association with a Brine Dragon, which is the source of his visions. He would be a caster as well as a small package of teeth and claws.
He is an outcast from his clan, the Dankblade Crew from Shark Island in the Shackles due to his freakish scale color (the tribe is black, he is gold/yellow) and was sold to a pirate ship where he was the ship's mascot.
Eventually he was replaced by a Charau-Ka in the role of mascot and was abandoned near Port Peril, set over board in an empty barrel. In there, dehydrated and malnourished, is where he had first vision, a blue dragon soaring over the waves and he was that dragon. Afterwards he felt the urge to leave the barrel behind and to his own surprise found he could now walk on the water's surface, so he walked to Port Peril and is there looking for a new job.
Touched by the Sea would probably work best for him, but I could make him an Ilazmagort Native with some tweaking of his background (quite a few kobold tribes on Ilazmagorti)

EDIT: Didn't submit the kobold at the start because of your preference for standard races and while it, mechanically, could be done on a human via the racial heritage feat the flavor would just be off.

I'd like to submit Lani
 (profile is far from done)

1. Concept: Lani is a Halfling Monk using the Maneuver Master and Underfoot Adept archetypes and I intend to have her utilize the new kobold Style feats.
She is an adherent of the Empyreal Lord Ghenshau and as such has a very relaxed and almost simple way of looking at life, she goes where her trade takes her though she lives a very disciplined and orderly life when one looks past her wandering. She is very much about taking life as it comes, but is intend to always be prepared for what it throws at her.
She is a carpenter by trade and landed in Port Peril by being hired as a ship surgeon's assistant on board of a ship that left from her home city of Magnimar and that landed there to stock up on supplies. As such she will take the Ship's Surgeon campaign trait.
Her parents are both escaped slaves from Cheliax and members of the Bellflower Network who work to help other escaped slaves find a place to live. Lani herself has never been a slave and know only the stories she heard from both her parents and their guests.

2. Post rate: 1-2 posts per day on weekdays should be perfectly doable, the game itself permitting (if there is nothing to post about there really is no sense in posting). Do know that I'm in a GMT+1 timezone so my wake hours might not align perfectly with those of other players.

3. Familiarity: I played the game just past the point where you hit level 2, then the GM vanished (for the second time)

4. Contribution: In combat Lani is exactly what her class & archetype combination would make her out to be: a tripper. Her main goal would be to take foes out of the equation without outright killing them. She'd trip them and eventually also grapple those she knocks down by virtue of her kobold style feats. She'll mainly focus on targets like casters in order to reduce their usefulness. (only thing I'm worried about is being short on feats)
Out of combat she is a carpenter and can repair things aboard a ship, including peg legs, and is adept at healing as well. In addition she can climb relatively well and would be suitable to be up in the crow's nest. She is fairly green when it comes to sailing though, having only worked on a ship for a few months before the start of the AP.

"Let's move, there is no point in sticking around." Lani moves past the goblin, patting the ugly thing on the back as she goes.

Female Halfling Shaman (Serendipity Shaman) 1

Lani roughly pokes the Eladrin when he call their goblin captive a "creature". That was a sure way to make him tell his employer anyway. "Ok, let's make a deal. We'll let you go and you go in hiding for a bit, we'll take care of those thugs. Hide long enough and we might even take care of the Stick. Maybe you can seek us out later if you have more info, I might be able to get you a decent job with my House." They always needed cleaners for hallways and conference rooms.

Female Halfling Shaman (Serendipity Shaman) 1

"But you just told us they don't know who we are, so what is the problem?" The little rat was get tied up in his own lies already. Now mercenaries from Darguun, that could prove interesting.

Female Halfling Shaman (Serendipity Shaman) 1

"That depends. What can you tell us about those mercenaries? Where were they to ambush us? Which company do they belong to? Where is the stick?" Lani looks the goblin straight in the eye. There was no telling what he'd do if they let him go. Their best course of action probably was getting him to spill the beans and then knock him out cold.

Female Halfling Shaman (Serendipity Shaman) 1

Suddenly an armor-clad Gnome appears between the others. It is strange that someone so heavily armored can move so silently. "Now now friends, no need to get all hostile. Give the poor chap a chance to speak up. So friend, what where you after here? Your secret is safe with me." Her hand moves over the pommel of her rapier, drawing attention to it. The pommel is shaped in the form of a cockatrice's head, a symbol of House Sivis.

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23

Female Halfling Shaman (Serendipity Shaman) 1

Lani snorted at the Tiefling, "Don't worry princess, few are the ones that get past me. Just don't bother me with your ramblings on good and purity." She nodded at the holy symbol.

But it seemed both the tiefling and the eldarin were pansies. Well, at least they'd make good cannon fodder.

Female Halfling Shaman (Serendipity Shaman) 1

Supposedly they have the most hostile contact with the Gnomes in northern Zilargo. It's not a hate like in other settings, but Lani knows all to well the problems the scaly buggers cause.

Female Halfling Shaman (Serendipity Shaman) 1

Working in her house's counter-espionage branch as those keeping an eye on honesty of their own people, Lani paid Famica for information on the actions of all Gnomes in the Fire-Light district that did not work or live there.

A small purple haired, armor clad woman walks into the Cucumber, eyes the room and moves over to the table where the others were sitting. "G'day y'all. I guess you are the ones looking for Famica? If so I'm in." She eyed all of them, barely concealing her contempt for the reptilian at the head of the table.

Female Halfling Shaman (Serendipity Shaman) 1

Gnomes and Kobolds tend to get along horribly anyway, could be on purpose.

Female Halfling Shaman (Serendipity Shaman) 1

Changed Lanaste into a Gnome Paladin|Battlemind. The Battlemind part adds versatility and mobility. As for background, she basically moved to the other side of the story. Lani is a member of the Oversight deperatment of House Sivis, so protection and counter-espionage.

Female Halfling Shaman (Serendipity Shaman) 1

If only we started at higher level I would have made my Gnome Paladin. I love the guy but a defender with speed 4 isn't doable.

EDIT: Then again, I ran into problems with a hybrid paladin|warlock. I'll take a look at either full pally or a defender|defender

Female Halfling Shaman (Serendipity Shaman) 1

I have other suggestions for both:

Initiative:
Everyone rolls, monsters as a cluster.
Everyone with higher init than monsters acts.
Monsters act.
Everyone acts (so for some this is round one, for others round 2)
Monsters act.
etc, etc, etc

Out of turn actions:
Put them in spoilers ahead of time with conditions for use.

Female Halfling Shaman (Serendipity Shaman) 1

There actually is another road for the revenant: Aerenal.

Basically the Elves (so possibly also Eladrin) there venerate their ancestors to the point that they keep them around in the form of the Undying. Basically those are positive energy undead made only of those considered worthy. Only real effect this would have on you is that your deity is more or less set on Undying Court.

As for themes I'm looking at Windlord and Elemental Initiate at the moment, both from HotEC

Female Halfling Shaman (Serendipity Shaman) 1

Hello all, Cuàn here. Lanaste is a member of House Lyrander, though of a rather obscure branch. Her training and job consist of negotiations with the various elementals her House binds to their ships (assisted by a Gnome from House Sivis who makes the actual deal). In addition she's part of the more clandestine branch of her family where it's her job to actually spy on the Gnomes she works with.

Sheet obviously is still under construction, figuring out the order in which I want to take my feats.

Cuàn here

Decided on making a hybrid Bard|Warlock Half Elf of House Lyrander focusing on buffing and debuffing as well as movement in order to arrange the battlefield so that the group can (ab)use it properly. The character will also be able to dole out quite some elemental weaknesses in case the party works best with it.

Her Warlock pact will be Elemental, further fitting her being a member of House Lyrander, though she hasn't manifested her dragon mark yet.

As for the last name thing, the Enkiliost family actually is an existing, if obscure, branch of the Lyrander family.

Weird thing is though, for some reason I can't edit this character's profile.
