Fire Mountain Games has blazed a trail to the dark side with the first adventure path for evil characters for the Pathfinder RPG. They have taken what many GMs consider to be the bane of their existence—an entire party of evil player characters—and turned it into a critically acclaimed and highly popular series of adventures. What you have before you is a product designed to get you into the game quickly by providing eight pregenerated characters designed specifically to be run in an Evil Adventure Path. Each character is built using a 25 point buy, as recommended by the writers of the AP. There are four human PCs. Their stat blocks are accompanied by detailed backgrounds and reasons enough for these dark souls to go forth and wreak havoc through the land, including the details of how they came to be incarcerated in the Prison of the Branded, where the adventure begins.
The iconic consist of four human characters and four unique races from the NeoExodus: A House Divided campaign setting such as:
• Cavian: Creatures of myth, whispered in legend, lost in the mists of history – and now returned for reasons unknown to any but themselves. Such are the cavians, a race of humanoid rodents noted for their incredible psionic abilities.
• Kalisan: Calibans are pale-white humanoid creatures native to the north of Exodus. Over time, many calibans have migrated to other parts and are now found in almost every parts of Exodus. Calibans have a well-deserved reputation for cannibalism and savagery. Kalisans are the most civilized of their race and are indistinguishable physically from their feral caliban cousins, although calibans can distinguish one another. Calibans tend to be much more feral and are less suited to be player characters. However the Kalisans are well-adapted.
• P’Tan: In ancient times, the First Ones enslaved all of Exodus; their plans were served well by countless thousands of unwilling servants. Once their slaves rose up and overthrew them, however, the First Ones were cast into the depths - bereft not only of their power, but also of the vast majority of the very slaves who brought them low.
• Sasori: Resources wax and wane, weapons and spells become obsolete, the master craftsman of one era is displaced by the industry of the next, and even land becomes worthless with the shifting ages. But information, say the sasori, is the one commodity that is always in demand. These scorpion-like creatures are brokers of information, by turns the greatest secret-keepers and the supreme spies of Exodus. Sasori are also known for their willingness - and ability - to kill to protect their secrets.

• Cormac Blackwood, Male human antipaladin

So here is a project that I have been working on in silence over the last few month and I am finally revealing what it is. Ever since I say the ebook revolution happened, I wanted to be part of it and I know that NeoExodus would be at the forefront of it. So one of the original people who worked on the the first edition of NeoExodus, Joshua Cole , got in contact with me about doing it I decided now was the perfect time. In addition, we thought it would be best to get you all interested in what we were doing by give these story away on this blog for free. So Joshua and I developed an outline and we decided that this first story would be a three part ebook. So Joshua just sent us our first rough draft of the ebook and where have sent it to editing and we hope to have the first part of the ebook up very soon at this blog. My, yes, I love animals and insects. Built for survival, perfect predators—even the prey is somewhat incredible. You learn a lot studying them…and don’t think I’ve no idea what you’re thinking about. Or that I’ve never heard people talking behind my back. I’ve seen them, heard them. Saying I’m weird, crazy, creepy, ugly. All stupid and jealous. Except this one, a great boy. Not the brightest one…I think he had a crush on me. A farm boy—orphan—watching over another awkward orphan girl, top of her class…the perfect couple, you see? Poor sap defended me every time, until he took one too many blows for me. Classic story: I was in the woods searching for some rare Hymenoptera, him glued to me like crap on my shoes, and right there: boom, a hungry bear! Fun fact: The boy had always been dead afraid of bugs. But unlike me, he had great eyesight and jumped first. Yep, he took on a damn bear long enough for some lumberjacks to hear our cries and chop through it. My own personal 10-year-old little-big hero. He didn’t make it through the night. Thinking back on it, he had pretty eyes…wanna see? I always keep a copy of his eyeballs in my lab to watch over me.

Mobius Suit
Some machinesmiths build grand suits powered by mobius energy that provide a variety of defensive abilities and augment their physical prowess. These suits range from vests and harnesses covered in an array of machinery to sleek powered armor that encases the entire body. More powerful machinesmiths even incorporate some of their gadgets into the mobius suit’s architecture.
All mobius suits have a suit of armor as their base. The machinesmith must be proficient with the base armor for their mobius suit, as well as physically possess it through purchase, discovery as treasure, or through a feat, trait or other ability. It takes one day to properly fit a suit of armor with the mobius generator and any integrated gadgets. If the mobius suit is lost or destroyed, the machinesmith must provide a new suit of armor to create a new mobius suit, in addition to the normal steps in building a greatwork. If the machinesmith wishes to create a new mobius suit and the original is still extant, he must either destroy the mobius generator upon the old suit or completely disassemble the old suit. Disassembling a mobius suit takes one hour and requires a Craft (armorsmithing) skill check with a DC equal to the machinesmith’s level + Intelligence modifier + any enhancement bonuses the suit possesses. Success indicates that the mobius core and any integrated gadgets have been removed and can be placed into a new suit. Failure means any integrated gadgets have been retrieved but the greatwork must be rebuilt from scratch; this skill check cannot be retried.
A machinesmith with a mobius suit follows all standard rules for performing upgrades on their greatwork as outlined on pp. 3-4 of Classes of Neoexodus: Machinesmith.
Base Mobius Suit
The mobius suit has statistics equal to the base armor from which it is constructed with a +1 class bonus to AC. It receives a number of charges equal to ½ the machinesmith’s class level (minimum 1) + Intelligence modifier.
By expending 1 charge as a swift action, the machinesmith may gain either DR 1/- or energy resistance 5 against acid, cold, electricity, or fire (select one). This ability lasts a number of rounds equal to the machinesmith’s Intelligence modifier.
Mobius Suit Upgrade 1
A machinesmith may add this upgrade to their mobius suit greatwork at 5th level. The mobius suit improves to providing DR 2/- or energy resistance 10 when activating its base ability.
In addition, by expending 1 charge as an immediate action before making a Reflex saving throw to reduce damage from an effect, the machinesmith gains the evasion ability against that effect and takes no damage if the saving throw is successful.
Due to frequently working with powered armor, the machinesmith also gains medium armor proficiency as a bonus feat.
Finally, the machinesmith learns how to build gadgets into the mobius suit. The mobius suit gains one integrated gadget slot. An integrated gadget is considered part of the mobius suit instead of a separate object. Integrated gadgets no longer need to be held or worn to be activated, and do not take up any magic item slots. Refitting a mobius suit by adding or removing integrated gadgets does not require a Craft skill check, but does take one day of labor. If the mobius suit is lost or destroyed, an integrated gadget is similarly considered lost or destroyed.
Mobius Suit Upgrade 2
A machinesmith may add this upgrade to their mobius suit greatwork at 10th level. The mobius suit improves to providing a +2 class bonus to AC, and DR 3/- or energy resistance 20 when activating its base ability.
In addition, by expending 1 charge as an immediate action before making a Fortitude or Will saving throw against an effect with a partial effect on a successful save, the machinesmith gains the mettle ability against that effect and suffers no effects from the attack if the saving throw is successful.
The machinesmith is also now familiar with all armor types, and gains heavy armor proficiency as a bonus feat. The machinesmith’s mobius suit now has two integrated gadget slots.
Mobius Suit Upgrade 3
A machinesmith may add this upgrade to their mobius suit greatwork at 15th level. The mobius suit improves to providing DR 4/- or energy resistance 30 when activating its base ability.
In addition, by expending 1 charge as a swift action the machinesmith may greatly improve the mobius suit’s ability to resist firearms. A machinesmith retains their armor bonus to AC against firearms attacks regardless of range or any other factor (including a gunslinger using grit). This ability lasts a number of rounds equal to the machinesmith’s Intelligence modifier.
The machinesmith’s mobius suit now has three integrated gadget slots.
Mobius Suit Upgrade 4
A machinesmith may add this upgrade to their mobius suit greatwork at 20th level. The mobius suit improves to providing DR 5/- or energy immunity when activating its base ability.
In addition, by expending 1 charge as an immediate action when an opponent threatens a critical hit, a machinesmith may gain a dodge bonus to AC equal to their Intelligence modifier against the critical confirmation roll.
The machinesmith’s mobius suit now has four integrated gadget slots.
Good news for all you fans of Fire Mountain Games adventure paths; Way of the Wicked and the upcoming Throne of Night; Gary McBride he has allowed LPJ Design to create Adventure Path Iconics version of both of these adventure paths. This book provides eight complete pre-generated characters specifically designed for use in an Asian caravan-themed adventure path. Each character comes with a full stat block including campaign traits, a detailed background and personality, along with tips on advancement through 4th level. Just pick one that strikes your fancy and you’re ready to play. These iconics have been built using a 20-point buy making sure that would be all rules-legal and fully compliant. For those that are video game fans the Ubisoft title, Assassin’s Creed, is one of the better known and respected game tiles. Recently two of Ubisoft’s writers on Assassin's Creed III: Liberation won the Writers Guild of America award for outstanding achievement in videogame writing. One of those writers was Richard Farrese. Richard worked for LPJ Design as a writer in the past including working on the NeoExodus Campaign setting and the upcoming Xao: Island of Iron and Silk. So when I started this kickstarter for Free RPG Day it only made sense to get in touch with him to help out and of course he did. Paizo has proven that people like Adventure Paths. But the one thing that has not really changed in all the adventure paths is the choice for iconics for these adventure paths. Other companies have but out iconics, but they are the same old Tolkien-ese, Tolkien-inspired, Tolkien over done races that you have seen a MILLION times. We are currently working on a new base class, the Fleshwraith , for our NeoExodus Campaign setting. This is an organic version of our Machinesmith base class, and we at LPJ Design though it would be best to just release the draft of the class and get some feedback from the Paizo fan base. This weekend I placed this post, New race idea for NeoExodus..., up at my blog and Endzeitgeist was nice enough to comment on it and the issue he thought it might have and I replied back to him. With this it got me interested to hear if people thought if it is possible to have a balanced construct based race be made for Pathfinder? What do you think? Better yet, what would you do different?

Since I saw Mike Kimmel in the Top 32 and Jeff Lee listed as an alternate, I was wondering how many of the other contestants and alternates have worked in the 3PP arena and for who? Better yet, how did we miss these people?
The Arman and the Nasians share a number of common traits. Both are taller than the human norm and share characteristically blonde hair. This is what we are looking to reach to make out 2nd Free RPG Day attempt a success. While not a lot of money in the scheme of the world and big business, but at LPJ Design that this might as well be a millions dollars, since we don’t have that either. Last year, we made our goal and I was worrying and sweating it out about us reaching out money. It reminded me of waiting for my son to be born, very stressful and not sure what was going to happen. In the end it turn out OK in both cases.

We were successful last year so we are trying it again with the Free RPG Day 2013 NeoExodus Adventure for Pathfinder RPG. The focus of this kickstarter is to raise enough money to release a free NeoExodus: A House Divided adventure for Free RPG Day 2013 to be distributed to retail locations. This adventure will be written by the LPJ Design creative designer, JP Chapleau with artwork from NeoExodus: A House Divided Campaign Book artists including Bruno Miguel Martins Balixa, Juan Diego DIanderas, Yama Orce; will be an introduction adventure to the world of Exodus and the campaign setting of NeoExodus.
Our goal is to reach $2,500 in funding with this kickstarter project which will make it possible for us to provide three free adventures in each Free RPG Day 2013 boxes. In addition we have included additional higher threshold goals if we reach, will increase the amount of free copies we giveaway and also other rewards to the patrons of this project. We are going to have various award levels starting as low as $5 with additional Special “Locked” Awards which be “unlocked” a to receive unique rewards including naming the special NPCs in the adventure. We are planning to start this kickstarter project in mid-February 2013 having it run until the end of March 2013.
