We just updated the classic NeoExodus Chronicles: World of Exodus with new artwork, added iconics, Detailed empire descriptions and information about the planet, Exodus, itself. Go and enjoy, best of all FOR FREE!!!!

So I have been talking to a few 3PP and I have decided to start making iconics based off of their most popular classes for the NeoExodus: A House Divided Campaign Setting. We are going to do the Time Thief (from Rogue Genius Game), the White Necromancer (from Kobold Press), and Psion (Dreamscarred Press). What other classes from the 3PP would you like to see as iconics?

Louis Porter Jr. Design, has released Terrors of Obsidian Apocalypse: Haunts for The Pathfinder Roleplaying Game at RPGNow.com and DriveThruRPG.com. Here is information on this product:

On rare occasions a soul tainted by dread, fear, rage and anger leaves its broken corpse, if it is powerful enough, that soul may return as a ghost, a wraith or some worse form of undead. If it is powerful enough, angry enough…..Souls lacking the metaphysical hardiness to retain their own identity after death may also return to the living as something else, something lesser, a ghostly presence that blurs the line between a magical trap and a true undead. Inside this sourcebook you will find haunts you’ll need to enhance fear and terror in your home and local Obsidian Apocalypse including:

- Creeping Ectoplasm (CR 2) - A minor haunt devoid of any shred of individuality or history, manifesting as a shapeless blob of ectoplasm.

- Doors to Damnation (CR 9) - A soldier guarded this door against overwhelming forces and cursed the invaders with his dying breath when he finally fell.

- Hangman’s Jig (CR 5) - A desperate prisoner was incompetently hanged in this small cell.An echo of his painful death lingers and haunts anyone visiting the room.

- Memory of the Late Mistress (CR 7) - A woman died, choked to death by her jealous lover on this bed, forever tainting it with ghostly malice toward the living.

- Warlock’s Doom (CR 8) - This haunt is the lingering residue of a powerful magician’s final stand—slivers of his spirit and the last spell he ever cast bound together in a volley of destruction unleashed against the world.

- Plus nearly 15 more all new haunts.

This is the question: Do you want to "play in a game" that focuses on Player Versus Player combat and interaction? Please discuss.

Louis Porter Jr. Design, has released Lost Races: Elves for The Pathfinder Roleplaying Game at RPGNow.com and DriveThruRPG.com. Here is information on this product:

In forgotten ages, a great race of elves ruled Exodus: a tall, proud folk, unmatched in martial prowess and gifted with magical might. They were beautiful and terrible like the sun, possessed of powers beyond those of the other infant races of the world. They ruled a vast, wild region, dwelling in subterranean fortresses. Magic was in their blood. It was said they could step through a doorway and end up halfway across the world, and could enter the dreams of sleepers on a whim. They forged fantastic weapons, crafted cunning tools, and created magnificent works of art. Their rule lasted for untold millennia. Then came the First Ones.

The interlopers launched a swift and furious offensive upon the elves, intending to conquer and subjugate them before taking the rest of the world for their own. The elves’ counterattacks brought the First Ones’ campaign to a standstill. Both forces were equal in magical power, but the elves were superior on the battlefield, their united front more than a match for the First Ones’ loose collective. However, the slave races used by the First Ones’ provided them with the sheer numbers necessary to keep fighting. The stalemate continued for centuries. Then the Khaynites—greatest of the First Ones and children of the bloody god, Khayne—invented a new weapon that tipped the scales and brought an end to elven rule of Exodus.
Inside this sourcebook you will find you’ll need to enhance on adventures when using the Lost Races: Elves:

History of the Lost Races: Elves
- Six unique elven races including Deep Elves, Dark Elves and Planewracked Elves
- New Racial Rules and Racial Archetypes including Charoteer (Cavalier), Desert Viper (Slayer), ), Dream Eater (Witch) and more
- New Equipment including Desert Glass and Elven Bronze
- New Feats including Communal Summoning, Liminal Magic Adept and more
- New Magic Items including Elixir of Stolen Dreams, Sicking Elfshot and more

Since we know the Machinesmith is one of the favorite artificer / crafter classes for Pathfinder, we decided to take it one step further and create a Mythic Path for the class.

And with that we have the Futurist.

This is the first rough draft version of the class that we are releasing so you Pathfinder fans can go over it, kick the tires on it and just see what we did right and wrong. So this class will be available for a limited time and writer, Jonathan Palmer, will be following this thread, commenting and explaining issues that need to be fixed.

This link to this playtest PDF will be available for only a limited time

Who would like to see Sean K Reynolds and myself doing a LIVE Transparency Agenda episode talking about Pathfinder Roleplaying Game, game design and other cool stuff like that February 16th on GoogleHangout on Air?

For the NeoExodus: A House Divided and Pathfinder Roleplaying Game fans who think there were no "standard fantasy races" in NeoExodus, this might be the best quote of the day:

The elves were the first major resistance the First Ones faced. They're a match for them until the Khaynites produced the virus called elfbane. The plague that decimates the population, causing the elves to use the Nexus gateways to flee Exodus, and allowing the First Ones to lock the gates behind them, allowing them to conquer.

The next question many of you are asking is what happened to the Dwarves? Lost Races of NeoExodus: Elves coming soon to DriveThruRPG.com and Paizo.

Real simple questions, do you want one and who do like to write it if we did?

Louis Porter Jr. Design, has released Obsidian Apocalypse: Players Guide at Paizo.com. Here is information on this product:

- All New Greatwork: Mobius Body and Augmentations (Mobius Body)
And much more.

Available here at Paizo!

One of the more interesting things I discovered while working on Obsidian Apocalypse, is that when you build a campaign work, you never really know how people are going to use it to play their game. When we built Obsidian Twilight (the predecessor to Obsidian Apocalypse), I thought of it as a zombie apocalypse setting but others thought it was a post apocalypse good versus evil setting. While even more thought that it would be more gothic / classic horror.

The reason is that people have their own interpretation of the word “horror”. So that is why we have a “generic” setting for Obsidian Apocalypse plus four custom toolkits that you can make your own custom setting and people have really responded to it. So I am wondering, is this something people would like to see campaign setting do in the future: One main “generic” concept of the setting a several toolkits to customize it any way that you might like to? Please let me know what you think. Thanks!

Something I am working on for NeoExodus: A House Divided Campaign setting. We are adding Androids (which we call Kagans) to the setting but we are changing the racial abilities of the race. Simply put, is this race overpowered now?:

Ability Score Racial Traits: Kagan have swift reflexes and are very intelligent, but have difficulty relating to others. As a result, Kagan gain a +2 bonus to Dexterity and Intelligence, but suffer a –2 penalty to Charisma.

Size: Kagan are Medium creatures, and they have no bonuses or penalties due to their size.

Base Speed: Kagan have a base speed of 30 feet.

Languages: Kagan begin play speaking Common. Kagan with high Intelligence can choose any languages they want (except secret languages, such as Druidic).

Exceptional Senses: Kagan have darkvision and so can see perfectly in the dark to a range of 60 feet and in addition, they possess low-light vision.

Constructed: For the purposes of effects targeting creatures by type (such as a ranger’s favored enemy and bane weapons), Kagan count as both humanoids and constructs. Kagan gain a +4 racial bonus on all saving throws against mind-affecting effects, paralysis, poison, and stun effects, are not subject to fatigue or exhaustion, and are immune to disease and sleep effects. Kagan can never gain morale bonuses, and are immune to fear effects and all emotion-based effects.

Arcane Essence (Ex): Once per day as a full-round action, Kagan imbue a single small (or smaller) inanimate object with the Kagan’s arcane essence with mobility and a semblance of life. The animated object then immediately attacks whomever or whatever you initially designate. An animated object can be of any nonmagical material. This spell cannot affect objects carried or worn by a creature. This effect last 1 round per level. Objects that are imbued disintegrate in to dust and the end of the time effect of this ability.

While this question does tie into the previous question we asked, What D&D campaign setting would you like to see converted for Pathfinder? and a project we are currently working on, what we want your answer to be based on the simple question: Name the four best adventure writers for Pathfinder?

I am working on something for future release and I wanted to get feedback from the Pathfinder fanbase: What four (4) D&D campaign setting would you like to see converted for use in Pathfinder? Edition doesn’t matter just the setting. Thanks!

Louis Porter Jr. Design, has released Treasure of NeoExodus: Gentle Hand of Law for The Pathfinder Roleplaying Game at RPGNow.com and DriveThruRPG.com. Here is information on this product:

During the reign of the Mad Emperor, civil upheavals were commonplace in the Caneus Empire. The final line of defense for the Emperor is the High Guard, charged with safeguarding their liege against all threats, foreign or domestic. The Lady-Commander of the High Guard, torn between duty to her monarch and empathy for her persecuted fellow citizens, prayed to the Sanguine Lord and all his Venerates for grace. Her prayers were granted in the form of a weapon, one with which she could continue her duties without shedding the blood of her compatriots.

The Treasure of NeoExodus: Gentle Hand of Law is created for use with your NeoExodus: A House Divided campaign setting home gaming for the Pathfinder RPG. The Treasures of NeoExodus series focus on creating unique and interesting magical and mundane items that you can use in your NeoExodus home games that give you more a personal connection to the item. By now, I am sure many of you are familiar with the updates that I am making to the NeoExodus: A House Divided Campaign Setting. With that, I am sure many of you who have bought the campaign book were happy to hear that we are doing an update. But at the same time, I am sure many of you didn’t want to have to buy a whole new book from something you just bought and I understand and feel for you. And with that I have come up with this plan.

First, this new update (which I keep calling the Ultimate Edition) all people who purchased the PDF version from DriveThruRPG, RPGNow, Paizo or D20 PFSRD as a PDF, we will be updating your original PDF version with the new Ultimate Edition FOR FREE. As long as you have OR do purchase the NeoExodus: A House Divided Campaign Setting, by the time we release the Ultimate Edition, you will get the update for free. The NeoExodus: A House Divided Campaign Setting PDF book will be updated with the Ultimate Edition PDF online so all you will have to do is download the new version.

Second, the Print-On-Demand versions will be updated with new Ultimate Edition Print-On-Demand version in both black and white AND full color. What the price of this books will be is currently not known but we hope to keep the price as low as possible and reasonable for you the consumer.

Third, we are adding more additional content and artwork to this new Ultimate Edition. I am “guesstimating” that we will be adding between 15 to 30% additional content compared to the original version. Anything we are adding are not about “destroying” work we have we already done. For example, we are adding alternative racial traits for all of the races. We are not changing their stated standard racial traits so those who have PCs made that don’t really miss out on anything but now they have more options for the future.

So if you are a NeoExodus fan or even interested, join our Facebook page and see all the new and interesting add-ons, the new artwork and layout we are doing with this Ultimate Edition. As always, thanks for the support. Talk to you later…

Louis Porter Jr. Design, has released Treasure of NeoExodus: Twin Furies for The Pathfinder Roleplaying Game at RPGNow.com and DriveThruRPG.com. Here is information on this product:

The religion of the dark god Khayne is divided and scattered, with each small cult worshiping their bloody lord after their own malicious fashion. One of the largest cults in the Brotherhood of Khayne—as well as the most ruthless and organized—is the Untharan Brotherhood, a monastic order in which adherents practice draconian discipline, ritual bloodletting, and the art of war. While they spend much of their efforts aiding the rest of the Brotherhood in fending off the quickslavers, members of this order have occasionally clashed with the forces running the Imperial blockade of the islands of Unthara, wielding weapons of terrifying power. Among these weapons are the Twin Furies, a matched pair of kamas that focus the hatred of Khayne into a fierce presence upon the battlefield.

The Treasure of NeoExodus: Twin Furies is created for use with your NeoExodus: A House Divided campaign setting home gaming for the Pathfinder RPG. The Treasures of NeoExodus series focus on creating unique and interesting magical and mundane items that you can use in your NeoExodus home games that give you more a personal connection to the item. Inside this book you will find you will find four new races for Races of Obsidian Apocalypse: Flesh and Iron:

Promethean (Flesh and Clockwork): Prometheans suffer lingering mental effects from their creation rites. The flesh prometheans have a personality made from an amalgam of souls, cobbled together from various creatures. Clockwork prometheans have the luxury of a solitary mind, but the creation rites cause them as much torment as they do to their flesh-bound cousins.

Raijin: When an outraged spirit of one slain by the undead lords of Abaddon possesses a survivor filled with desires for revenge, the two form a powerful and terrifying force, a raijin. A synergy of life and death, it can reach into the netherworld and manifest some powers of the dead in the physical world.

Uzamati: The only uzamati trait that stands out in their normal form is the purple irises of their eyes. But, when an uzamati phases out, all semblance of normalcy disappears. They melt into pure negative energy, becoming twisted in the process: Their skin turns a deep purple and exudes a strong glow. Their bodies become slightly transparent and gaunt as a skeleton.

Over 20 new feats for these races including Amplify Negative Energy, Monstrous Body Parts, Necromantic Phasing, Spectral Wall and Weapon Graft.

I was talking to Rich Redman and I made him two offers of things I would be interested to write for Obsidian Apocalypse and he picked #1 over #2. While I am not going to tell you “exactly” what we are doing, but here is where we are getting a lot of inspiration from:

The city of Manifest rests atop ruins from ancient times and far above the entrance to the land of the dead. Here, the world of the living is shared equally with the deceased, who linger in physical form before finally passing through the Veil. Whether currently living or dead, residents and visitors are assured of an eternity of action and intrigue.

And if that was too subtle, then go here!

I guess it is time to start saving some money. Talk to you later…

And for all the work we did on Obsidian Apocalypse from all the great names like JP Chapleau, Kalyna Conrad, Eric Hindley, Jeff Lee, Owen K.C. Stephens, Richard Pett, Rich Redman, Louis Porter Jr., James Desborough, Robert “Bob” E. Drouin, Wojciech “Drejk” Gruchala, Nick Herold, Sam Hing, Michael McCarthy, Jonathan Palmer and Richard Pett. I think this review is the most satisfying with this paragraph:

I was honestly skeptical when I backed the Kickstarter back in the day – and am thoroughly glad I did. I’m not kidding when I say that this is a whole new beast that rectifies just about all of the issues of its predecessor and adds vast amounts of awesomeness on top. My final verdict will clock in at 5 stars + seal of approval – and, since I didn’t manage to get the review done in time in 2013, this one now is a candidate for my Top Ten of 2014. If you’ll excuse me, I have an endtimes-scenario to plan…

Once again I have to thank everyone who supported us on this and all the people who worked it. This could not have been done without you.
