Special Abilities
--------------------
Walk the Void (Su): You are immune to the harmful environmental effects of outer space and vacuum. You also gain a fly speed of 20 feet while in space. In addition, whenever you can see the stars, you can determine your precise location. Finally, add Piloting to your list of class skills.

Healing Touch (Su): Once per day, you can spend 10 minutes to magically heal an ally up to 5 Hit Points per mystic level.

Constructed: For effects targeting creatures by type, androids count as both humanoids and constructs (whichever effect is worse). They receive a +2 racial bonus to saving throws against disease, mind-affecting effects, poison, and sleep, unless those effects specifically target constructs. In addition, androids do not breathe or suffer the normal environmental effects of being in a vacuum.

Exceptional Vision: Androids have low-light vision and darkvision. As a result, they can see in dim light as if it were normal light, and they can see with no light source at all to a range of 60 feet in black and white only.

Flat Affect: Androids find emotions confusing and keep them bottled up. They take a –2 penalty to Sense Motive checks, but the DCs of Sense Motive checks attempted against them increase by 2.

Upgrade Slot: Androids have a single armor upgrade slot in their bodies. Regardless of whether androids are wearing physical armor, they can use this slot to install any one armor upgrade that could be installed into light armor.

Theme Knowledge: You are obsessed with distant worlds, and you always mentally catalog everything you learn about new and strange places so you can recall it when you need it most. Additionally, you use your knowledge of biology and topology to inure yourself to alien hazards. Reduce the DC of Physical Science checks to recall knowledge about strange new worlds or features of space by 5. Physical Science is a class skill for you, though if it is a class skill from the class you take at 1st level, you instead gain a +1 bonus to Physical Science checks. In addition, you gain an ability adjustment of +1 to Constitution at character creation.

CHARACTER INFORMATION

THIS IS ALL INCREDIBLY GOOD INFORMATION FOR BOTTING!

Biography:
Discovered in a stasis pod deep within the abandoned ruins of the derelict Asclepius Station, Leo’s saviors did not expect him.

Starfinders tasked with delving into the countless crevices of the Diaspora, Leo’s saviors stumbled upon the wreckage of MedX Corporation’s spacefaring research laboratory by chance. The Diaspora had veiled it with its asteroids, but the faded, yellow callsign on the battered exterior betrayed its hiding place.

The Starfinders didn’t immediately find Leo. They had no clue he was there. But ever diligent and thorough and curious, they discovered a lightless storage room hidden behind dilapidated hallways that snaked like mazes and obscured by the thick silence of the darkness of space. The room itself was protected by rusted security drones and antiquated security systems that fell before the Starfinders with little effort. Once inside, they were speechless.

Lost to time, hundreds of pods hung from the walls like embryonic prisons. They littered the storage room in various stages of disuse and disrepair. Most were nonfunctional; some had been emptied or broken out of; a few had become graves for their android inhabitants - whether crushed by beams, hammered by rock and debris, or simply barraged with weapon fire; but one was unlike the rest.

Occupied, functioning, unharmed, Pod #K-17 hummed in the darkness of the decrepit ship as if it was quietly calling for help. Powered by an ion arcanobattery created to last only 150 years, Leo’s pod was at the end of its life. And so was Leo.

But his saviors, a team of 4 Starfinders from Absalom Station, intervened.

At first, the Starfinders weren’t sure if Leo still lived within the pod. They feared that his fate would be identical to the myriad other androids whose lives ended in statis, whose last memory was falling asleep, and whose final fate was never waking up again. So when they overrode the stasis protocol and the pod hissed open, they didn’t believe they would find a response. But then, Leo’s eyes opened, and their soft glow proved he lived.

Ecstatic, the bold and brave Starfinders acted to ensure Leo remained alive.

Leo was disoriented at first. His memory banks had been damaged, so his recollection was fuzzy. But as he came to, with the help of the Starfinders, Leo finally groaned out the following question: “Do my brothers know that it is over?” When asked what he meant, Leo could not answer because he didn’t know what he meant. Confused, the Starfinders ushered him back to their starship.

Once there, Leo was given time to recover and adjust. The ship’s science officer, a fellow android whom the crew called Dr. Seven, spent a number of days working with Leo. Together, they did their best to piece together Leo’s history. Unfortunately, they weren’t able to recover everything, neither with psychological techniques nor by technological methods to fix his memory cores.

What they did uncover though was Leo’s nearly obsessive fascination with space travel, the stars, and distant planets. Every day, for hours at a time, they would find him in the bridge, face nearly plastered against the window, mouth agape. When asked, he would have difficulty articulating his emotions, other than by responding “Asclepius had no windows; I didn’t know there was so much more.

Soon, Leo was joining the Starfinders as an unofficial aid and mascot. Leo learned that the team was comprised of Wayfinders whose mission it was to scout out lost locations within known space, such as the derelict Asclepius Station. And Leo was overjoyed.

For a year, Leo lived in their Starship and provided auxiliary support, such as fetching equipment at merchant ports or doing the occasional information gathering - which he wasn’t the best at. And although he was a great help, he was never allowed to take part in any important or critical capacity because he was not an actual Starfinder, and the team wanted to keep him safe and out of trouble.

Thus, Leo made the difficult decision to leave what he considered to be his family in order to enlist into the Society Academy at Absalom Station. His plan was to make it through the academy, become a Starfinder, and officially rejoin his family as a fully-fledged Wayfinder.

But tragedy struck as Leo was finishing his training, and this tragedy became known as the Scoured Stars Incident. Among the 80% of Starfinders who were lost to the Godshield, Leo’s family and saviors were among them. And Leo couldn’t do anything.

So Leo stayed, heartbroken, and finished the academy, resolving to rescue the people who rescued him; to restore their legacy and dignity and honor; and to prove himself and pay them back for everything they’ve done.

Now, recently graduated, Leo has begun to take up Society missions in order to do just that. He knows that the Godshield is impenetrable, but he hopes that by fulfilling Society missions, he can somehow find a way to rescue his lost family, his fallen saviors.

Goals:
Leo didn’t start life with much. Spending his life as the corporate version of a slave, believing that he was programmed only to follow orders, subjected to a life toiling in a white room with white equipment and white lights and no windows, Leo’s most prized possessions were his private thoughts. But when the still-new android rebellion found the Asclepius station, things changed. His master commanded him and his fellow laborers into the stasis pods to hide from “people who want to take you away and ruin your life”, and all work in the station was stopped.

When Leo came to, he was met with a world he never knew before. The Asclepius Station wasn’t all there was; there were nameless wonders and infinite galaxies beyond the white walls he had always known. And somewhere out there would be a place for Leo to call home. In addition to the planets and stars and cosmos, there were a myriad of people that inhabited it all. And more importantly, there were others who Leo could learn to trust - like the team of Wayfinders that saved him. Sure, there were those who weren't wholly good and didn't want the best for Leo, but having someone to call a friend was better than being alone.

But all this wonder also meant endless questions. For one, Leo's memory wasn't perfect - emergency stasis has a way of interrupting the proper functions of one's memory cores; and so Leo's past had holes in it that provoked mystery and stress. Most particularly, Leo's memory of having “brothers” bugs him, and he constantly wonders if these unknown brothers exist somewhere out there among the stars.

Leo first became a Starfinder to join the crew of Wayfinders that saved him and had become like a family to him. However, they were lost to the Scoured Stars Incident and the Godshield. Including everything else, these are Leo's major goals:
- To experience the vastness of the universe that he never knew, experience all of its wonders and glories, and at the end of it, choose one of those infinite places to call his home.
- To recall the missing portions of his memory - particularly those revolving around the identities of his missing brothers and his old masters.
- To get past the Godshield somehow in order to find out if his previous comrades still live, and if they are living, to rejoin them.
- To take up the legacy of the Wayfinder team that saved him and became his family by continuing their mission as Starfinder Society Wayfinders: to explore, travel, and discover.
- To prove to the rest of the Society that the Wayfinders are not brash and reckless daredevils who only exist to put everything at risk but that the Wayfinders are like the team he knew: idealistic, hardworking, brave, and good.

Preferred Combat Strategy:

Leo is a back-line combatant, focused on providing support and auxiliary utility, away from the frontlines. Although not the worst combatant, he does not enjoy being in melee range with any enemy at all, and thus, usually stays as far as reasonable (though he often stays within 30 ft. in order to attack with his Needler Pistorl or Telekinetic Projectile).

Leo's first priority will always be to administer medical help to allies in need, whether through his use of spells, items, or skills.

If no allies require immediate medical attention and there are adversaries to fight, Leo usually prefers to use full attack actions with his Needler Pistol. Although more likely to miss this way, he has a "1000 monkey's" ideology when it comes to shooting. The more he shoots, the more likely he is to hit. Usually, a single Needler Pistol deals 1d4 piercing damage (Ranged Attack against KAC), so in a full attack, there's a chance to deal 2d4 piercing damage instead.

[dice=Needler Pistol Full Attack 2]1d20-3[/dice]

If Leo is running low on ammunition for his pistols or he's planning on only striking once (per round) in order to do something else, he'd opt to strike with his Telekinetic Projectile spell (Ranged Attack against KAC; 1d6 bludgeoning damage) because it does more potential damage in one hit.
[dice=Telekinetic Projectile]1d20+1[/dice]

Should there be a reason not to use his Telekinetic Projectile spell, Leo will choose to use his a single shot of his Needler Pistol again (Range Attack against KAC; 1d4 piercing damage).
[dice=Needler Pistol]1d20+1[/dice]

If for whatever reason, he must be in melee range, Leo will use his survival knife to strike in melee, instead of risking a lost spell or a reaction attack (Melee Attack against KAC; 1d4 slashing damage).
[dice=Survival Knife]1d20+1[/dice]

If the enemies are harder than normal and Leo has the spell slots available, he will use his Shooting Stars spell (as Magic Missile) to deal guaranteed damage (1d4+1 Force Damage).

If the enemy is being handled relatively well, Leo will choose to help out his allies in ways beyond mere attack prowess. In this case, he will provide help via Aid Another actions, using beneficial items, and the like to help ensure his allies are successful and safe.

If there is some urgent, larger objective at stake, Leo may opt to focus on making sure that objective is successfully completed, instead of providing support. That said, if he figures his absence may hurt his allies and/or his allies are in need of medical attention, the safety of his allies always takes precedence.

Personality Info:
Leo is a team player, first and foremost. Despite having trouble asserting himself, a consequence of his upbringing under harsh masters, he's very much collectivist in his perspective. He doesn't hate people or talking or anything; he has a crippling fear of people. In a way, he's a wallflower extravert with some PTSD thrown in.

If there's a chance to talk and socialize, Leo probably won't take it. He has trouble with rejection and disappointment... and honestly, just being judged or even stared at too much. All of it reminds him of his old life, where he was always ruled over and berated and watched and observed and disciplined and threatened and etc. Therefore, he'd almost always choose anything else.

On the other hand, should Leo be among friends who he knows well and who he has given his loyalty to, he's a babbling brook of conversation. It's as if all the words he's afraid to let out in front of most people store themselves up as a verbal deluge to drown those that Leo isn't so wary of.

On missions, his priority is always the task at hand because Leo rarely goes against orders or forgets commitments - again, a lasting effect of laboring under an oppressive master. He is obedient to a fault, so long as the person he's obey proved good and loyal and with Leo's interest in mind, too. If you want someone who is dutiful and will do his best to complete a task given to him, it's Leo. His "yes"s are yes, and his "no"s are no. When committed, he's fully devoted unless whatever he's undertaken is proven to be impossible or not a good thing to continue.

Moreover, if he's deceived or tricked to do things that he doesn't agree with (morally, ethically, or otherwise), he will immediately lash out like a cornered dog. Despite his servant-like habits, he does not like being mastered at all, for he's vowed to never be a slave again. And so, if he's ever taken advantage of and he realizes this, woe to those who did it because they've just made an enemy for life. And Leo has little qualms hurting his enemies and loosing his pent up fear and stress and frustration in torrents of adrenaline-filled rage.

When having to choose between orders and close friends, Leo will always choose his allies. Leo has seen how ambition can quickly become selfish greed, and to make sure he never devolves into heartlessness, he will always make sure to choose people. Unless, of course, choosing people means doing something unwise or not good. He's still morally good at the end of the day and wanton immorality for gain will never be okay in his book.

Finally, and maybe most importantly, Leo is inexplicably fascinated with space, stars, and planets. The inky black vacuum calls to him with silent siren songs. The expanse of it all is a comforting sanctuary where serenity and wisdom are found. The stars thrum and glisten like jewels begging to be visited. Planets dot the stellar canvas like beautiful work of art. It's all so wonderful to him. A part of it is because he was created and raised in a windowless station; it was until he was saved many years later that his fundamental understanding of creation was shattered, when he realized that there was an infinite plane beyond the four white walls that he thought was all. Another part of his infatuation with space is more esoteric. Something deep inside him feels chosen and called to the vastness of space. There's a longing, an uncomfortable pull that takes him up to the stars. And when there, he feels safe and secure and lost in the glory of the galaxies. That is one of the major reasons that he travels. He hungers to see it all. If androids are truly immortal (and they are), he'll spend his endless life exploring endless universes.
