School sucks!
Public schools seem good at teaching obedience to the state and authority, but they seem to be doing a very poor job teaching kids much else.
I always found public schools intense hostility to critical thinking and individuality disturbing. [sarcasm]Take a good look at countrys without a public education system.
Take a good lock at all the nonconformist, self assured individuals there. All the critical thinking going on[sarkasm off]
The system isn't perfect by a long shot. but as long as we don't know a better, working system, we better not break it. There is a better system than the mean. That's not the issue. The issue is which system is the government willing to pay for.

There are ladders. Having seen the inside of a shaft (I worked interior construction and have seen the bowels of a building) I think you can go up and down any elevator shaft. Opening the shaft doors is possible, although it takes some strength but I think there's a safety lock--a fireman would know how to release it--but forcing open the doors from the inside shaft seems pretty risky because there is nowhere to stand. Let's say it's doable with some climbing and a strength roll.
If you look at the floorplan (i'm using more or less the same plan for the 5th) it is 20 feet from the main stairwell to your wife's office. Her office is room 550, right above 450.
just compulsive
The doctor ducks back into the room and brings out a bottle of alcohol, and douses Patrick's hands and a few gore streaks on his legs.
He and Aunt Terri are both wearing surgical clothes and masks. They squint at the sunshine filtering in from the outer rooms.
Congratulations, guys, you now have two innocents to worry about. I mean come on, they're far more valuable to me alive....
<The door opens.>
Everyone stands dumbfounded as a kindly woman and a dignified but slightly scruffy looking doctor peer out of the office.

Then stat up the BanHammer as some kind of Legendary Artifact. Then play them together in an Epic Level game... ;)

Hicks: [Grabs him by the shirt] Are you finished?
Newt: Guess we're not gonna make it, are we?
Ripley: I'm sorry, Newt.
Newt: Don't be sorry, it wasn't your fault.
Hudson: That's it, man. Game over, man. Game over, what the f@** are we supposed to now, huh, what are we gonna do?
Burke: Maybe we can build a fire, sing a couple of songs, huh, how about we try that.
Newt: We gotta get inside. It's gonna be dark soon, and they mostly hunt at night. Mostly.
...
Bishop: I'm afraid I have some bad news.
Hudson: Well that's a switch.

This is one of the reasons I've always liked games that run off of multiple d6s. More bell-curvy... but then I will also look twice at short girls.
They already have special headshot rules for zombies only.
