He could just try: "Pssst, Aunt Terri you in there?" but no, he wants to pop the lock.... ANd man if they talk any louder the whole Z-army is gonna come running. By the way if 100 zombies make perception rolls someone is gonna crit, right? Zombie perception rolls 100d20 - 2 ⇒ (16, 10, 20, 13, 5, 11, 8, 14, 14, 15, 3, 1, 13, 19, 1, 12, 17, 3, 1, 17, 7, 5, 17, 10, 3, 19, 8, 2, 1, 17, 16, 14, 1, 5, 5, 4, 14, 6, 2, 1, 16, 8, 19, 2, 11, 19, 3, 4, 1, 6, 20, 4, 5, 2, 9, 6, 6, 8, 12, 11, 18, 3, 11, 7, 13, 13, 2, 5, 12, 14, 2, 6, 5, 10, 4, 8, 6, 4, 16, 7, 9, 15, 9, 7, 7, 5, 6, 1, 18, 4, 12, 8, 3, 5, 3, 12, 14, 13, 19, 6) - 2 = 882 That's why d20 isn't good for zombie apocalypse games. I hope he's into the painkillers not the alcohol, because the alcohol is not the drinkable kind. Unless you want to go blind of course. Johnnie: Spoiler:
While Sam and Judd are talking you think you see something small move along the baseboards in the ICU room back behind Judd. taig wrote:

Sam: Spoiler:
When you look straight at Judd, for half a second, the hospital around you dulls to an almost uniform gray... and then Judd's clothes, skin and bones melt away leaving only a brain, nerves, and eyeballs floating in a gray mist.
And then you snap back to reality. Cord: Spoiler:
These are heavy commercial doors on steel frame and they open inward. Having done this a few times, Cord would foresee that some serious strength and noise will be needed to get the crowbar into the crack, and when the lock pops it's going to go with a bang. So it might be better if Sarge knocks on the door and whispers his aunt's name loudly first. Sarge: Spoiler:
You could try saying her name. Patrick Curtin wrote:
Vancouver fans are sore losers and rioted. That should be a popular topic. Cord Vogel wrote: Cord cautiously continues down the corridor, peering into both windows as he moves to T17 and peers around the corner, he realizes he has been holding his breath and lets it out slowly. The doors at W9 lead into a large cargo sized elevator. From there you stalk to T17 and peek around the corner and find emptiness but for a few blood splatters and some bloodied hospital bedding. Just across from you through doorway T21, in room 417, are the signs of a some kind of fight. The glass panel to the right side of the door is shattered. Dave Judd wrote:
It is butted, you have to lean forward. Judd leans forward a few feet and peers around the counter endpiece and glances under the long nurses station counter. Open leg spaces below computer consoles alternate with short sections of floor cabinet. Looks clear. Perception again? Move in? Look around? Judd: Spoiler:
The blood around you on the floors is long since dried. But on the stairs going up are streaks of fresh blood. From the look of it, your guess would be that something has been lugging bodies upstairs. Slowly, quietly, except for a few crunches and clatters, the zombie hunters move northeast to room 475. Blood, toppled chairs, equipment, and other apocalyptic scree litter the floors. A few notes are pinned to the walls with unfamiliar names on them... left no doubt by people who foolishly believed rescuers would come. Sarge stops outside the outer door of 475, which though intact is decorated with some bloody fingerpainting. Sarge listens. Sarge: Spoiler:
Sounds quiet. Go ahead and press your ear against the door if you like, and make that perception roll. I just put you guys wherever btw... except for Judd. Judd: Spoiler:
Just drawing out your stealth and perception rolls a bit. You move ahead of the others, who are a little noisy. You get to the opening of the nursing station as mapped. Behind the glass wall to the north is an ICU room where some kind of bloody struggle took place. Another glass wall divides what looks like another ICU room to your right. Something erupted through the glass days ago, and from the looks of it ripped someone apart just a few steps ahead of you.
In the north ICU room you think you see something small skitter along the floorboards. Must be a rat. Just... a little fast. Just a streak. Then again you might be seeing things... could be stress, right? Sam: Spoiler:
The breathless whispering continues: "bring... them... upstairs."
