"Aye, and food. If we're to be wanderin' through caverns and tunnels for the gods' know how long, we'll need food."

Kraeg finishes off his drink, a bit disappointed that it is gone so quickly. Seeing the waitress return with refills, he grabs another mug.

"And a map. I assume you have a map that shows the location of this runestone?"

(Male Dwarf Wizard (transmuter) 1)

Kraeg scoops up a large mug of stout ale from the tray and downs half with a gulp.

"So, how is it that you know where we came from and how we can get back? For that matter, how'd you know we where here?"

The dwarf takes another, smaller drink from his mug.

"And what makes you think we'd be able to retrieve this runestone, which you can't, given the fact that we've no idea where we are or how we got here, two things you obviously know?"

(Male Dwarf Wizard (transmuter) 1)

Kraeg flops down into a chair and puts his feet up on the desk.

"So then, Mister Ashenflame, where are we?"

"It was a rhetorical question. And right now, I could insinuate that your height is directly proportional to another of your physical attributes, but I won't. Because I'm a nice lady."

"You've got me there. Certain physical attributes of mine are nearly as long as I am tall."

(Male Dwarf Wizard (transmuter) 1)

Kraeg's mouth stretches in a wide, toothy smile.

"You must be slippin', lass. My insinuation was quite clear."

The little dragons eyes gleam with mirth and seem to never leave Kraeg.

Kraeg stares right back at the odd little dragon.

This is cool. I was thinking of taking improved familiar and getting a pseudo-dragon at higher levels.

Vilya the Taker wrote:

Vilya speaks her mind. As usual.

"She's not normal. I don't like her."

The dwarf snorts. "If we used 'normal' as a bench-mark, you'd still be back in Varisia," he says in a light-hearted and playful tone, he seems to enjoy giving Vilya a hard time.

(Male Dwarf Wizard (transmuter) 1)

"Well, then. If we're going to visit this tavern, and likely end up in some sort of trouble, I'll get what rest I can now."

With that, Kraeg leans back in his chair, closes his eyes, and begins to snore, softly at first, but with growing volume.

(Male Dwarf Wizard (transmuter) 1)

"Maybe it's custom in this land to make sure no one knows your name. Maybe they think it gives others power over you if they know your name."

Kraeg removes the bolt from his crossbow and returns it to its case. He releases the weapons trigger and eases the string forward.

"So, do we go to this Elfstone tavern, or do we look for our own way back?"

(Male Dwarf Wizard (transmuter) 1)

Kraeg looks around at the now-empty tavern, then turns his attention to Vilya.

"So, what does it say?"

While he waits for Vilya to read the letter, the dwarf retrieves his crossbow and loads it, laying it on the table with the bolt's tip facing the door.

I am here to guide you to my boss who seeks an audiance with you...

Kraeg wipes food and ale from his whiskers with the back of his sleeve. He looks the dark-clothed stranger up and down for a moment, then snorts, obviously unimpressed.

"Sounds to me like your "boss" wants us to seek an audience with him, but we're pretty comfortable right where we are."

The dwarf looks around at his companions, then picks up his mug of ale and looks back to the stranger.

"If your boss wants an audience with us, he obviously knows where to find us. Tell him to hurry, though, we're only hearing petitioners until dusk."

With that, Kraeg drains his mug and returns to his meal, the stranger apparently forgotten.

(Male Dwarf Wizard (transmuter) 1)

Kraeg takes a long, deep pull of his mug of ale, followed by a belly-shaking belch.

"Right, then. You guys find us somewhere to sleep, comfortably, and we'll go see about getting us back home."

Having established a plan, the dwarf dives back into the food and ale with true gusto.

(Male Dwarf Wizard (transmuter) 1)

Kraeg consumes food and ale with all the decorum one would expect of a dwarf who'd not seen food or drink for days.

Between bites and gulps, he suggests that, after the meal is finished, he and some of the others visit this "Watchful Order" to see what they can learn. He proposes that the rest of the party, and here he glances pointedly at Dron, secure accomodations and try and learn what they can aobut the city.

The dwarf apparently sees no irony in implying, in the precious few moments not spent inhaling food and alcohol, that Dron should be left out of the visit to the wizards' tower.

(Male Dwarf Wizard (transmuter) 1)

Kraeg follows Toranaga to a table where he can rest his feet and let someone else bring his food to him.

"I suppose we should try and find someone in this city that might be able to help us with our situation. I wonder if there are any wizards of note hereabouts."

He tries to gain the attention of a server so he can order something to eat and a tall mug of ale.

(Male Dwarf Wizard (transmuter) 1)

Kraeg trudges along after his companions, the anticipation of food keeping his feet moving in the absence of physical energy.

He attempts to stay somewhat attentive as he moves through the city, taking in the sights and searching his memory for any mention of "Waterdeep."

(Male Dwarf Wizard (transmuter) 1)

Kraeg lets out a deep sigh and leans heavily on his staff.

He spends a moment looking the guard over, then directs his gaze into the city, obviously impatient to be on his way.

(Male Dwarf Wizard (transmuter) 1)

Kraeg hefts his staff and begins to trudge down the road after Toranaga.

"I could certainly do for a hot meal. And some idea as to where in the cosmos we are."

(Male Dwarf Wizard (transmuter) 1)

"Bah, he could barely hear you when you stood right before him."

"Let's be off. The quicker we get to this "big city," the better, I don't like the way Dron's lookin' at me," Kraeg appears to be at least half joking.

"Ain't never felt like a cut of pork before," he mumbles just loud enough to be overheard.

(Male Dwarf Wizard (transmuter) 1)

Kraeg leans heavily on his quarterstaff and lets his eyes wander over the old man and his cart, trying to identify the contents of the cart and, perhaps, some useful bit of information about the man.

(Male Dwarf Wizard (transmuter) 1)

Kraeg casts mage armor and steps out into the road with his companions.

"Careful, lads. We don't know that they even speak our tongue."

(Male Dwarf Wizard (transmuter) 1)

Assuming we do have the making of two groups, have you given any thought to the make up of those groups?

Kraeg is ready for adventure.

Kraeg is almost complete.

Just need to finish his equipment and background.
