"Branch" of a cherry/sakura tree

A relatively young hengeyokai lad with unkempt hair raised under the tutelage of an older Shugenja, Ichimura of Kagami. He is an only child with both parents, Juuzo and Sayaka Saikubo (They are actually his foster parents and they still have ties to his real hengeyokai family but Kouji does not know this yet). His motivation for "adventuring" might be from a lack of patience with his tutor's "wait and see" attitude regarding the events that are unfolding, but his tutor has nonetheless provided him with a number of "tools" to handle most challenges with, not to mention his own birthright gift of shapechanging into a sparrow.
