He's Kilroy!
Kilroy!
Kilroy! Kilroy... Kilroy...

(Finnaly got the pic up lol!)

The Koga had to post this, it was just too funny.

*As always Shanna is having a one-sided argument
(The Koga doesn't consider us a couple but we sure argue like one.)*

Shanna: You never take anything seriously! Blahblahblah! You won't even kiss me you just "hangout" with me! I should call the police for satutory. *don't know how to spell it but you know what The Koga is talking about*

*Shanna has subcosnciely rolled intimidate check, it's succesful, but because Koga's wisdom has some kindof negative axis, it actually HELP him resist fear and only becomes shaken*

Shanna: You suck! I'm never talking to you again! I'm going to go out with Chris cause I know you hate him!

Koga: Who's Chris?

Shanna: REMEMBER?! THE GUY YOU THREATEND?!

Koga: You know how many people The Koga threatens a day?! You gotta' be more specific!

Shanna: Over me?! *Scoff* Nevermind! I hate you, and I aint talking to you anymore! And you don't even care.

*Koga just rolled a critical fumble in chutzpuh check*

Koga: Ashley, you aren't the first person to--
Shanna: ASHLEY?!
Koga: Err--The Koga means..
Shanna: WHO'S ASHLEY?! She wouldn't happen to be the girl Josh meationed to me WOULD SHE?!

Koga: No, cause we stopped talking like The Koga said. : P
Shanna: -_ - Goodbye. *Storms out the door*

Koga: Guess this means no D&D game tommorow..

Feel free to post when you feel your spirit rolled a criticle fumble, or for that matter critical hit. : D

The Koga loves this game, for ascii technology it's stupendous. Then again The Koga always liked dungeon crawler "rpgs" over long drawn out Final Fantasy and crap. The Koga considerd converting D&D into a tabletop nethack, for starts every class would need use magick device as a class skill. But The Koga figures he'd see who here likes it, cause none of his pals have heard of it, and Shanna downloaded it and said "this is completely random and irritating". Which might be why The Koga likes it so. : P

The Koga has noticed a strange quincidence, that most rpgs just seem to ignore half the dice.

Whitewolf wouldn't be anywhere without the d10.

D&D is obviously a d20 based system, so much so Green Ronin invented "True d20" using only that dice.

FUDGE/GURPS thrive on d6. (Which is a wonder anyway, sure d6 you can buy a package at the dollar store, but d6 are intended for board games man!)

Why is the rpg industry so shy to the d4s, d8s, and d12s? It's like these guys have some kindof disease or something and nobody wants to touch them!

So The Koga is working on his own freeform rpg, one that uses nothing BUT d4s, d8s, and d12s! That way they get some recognition too!

As for d100s and d3s, those aren't even real dice but abomonations who leech off the life expectantcy of other die. (d100=two d10/d3=either d4 re-roll 4s or d6 divided by two.)

One of The Koga's friends wants to run an rpg called Paranoia, he's sure you've heard of it, now, he says we don't need any knowledge of the game inorder to play it, that everything can be done via the GM, that's all well and good but The Koga LIKES knowing how the rules work, he always needs to have a sense of control. (Even if the odds are stacked against him, as long as he feels in control, that's all that matters..) And he's not giving us any info on how to make characters or anything..

During his search, he's managed to find npc generators, pdf files of character sheets, and splatbook advertisements, but other then that not much else. This must be a popular game as it wasn't very difficult to find things on it, so could any of you help The Koga with info on how to make a character or a site that could assist him? That way he can stick it to the GM, it's not about powergaming with The Koga, he just wants a tidbit of control, lawful neutral. XP

The Koga will answer this age old question once and for all right here in off-topic! XP

Here's rally a score board and keep track, and see who wins.. vote which you pefer and why..

Ninja:

Pirates:

The Koga didn't see a video games section so he'd thought he'd post it here, The Koga use to be a big comic book fan as a kid, not so much now, but still enjoying something super-hero related every now and again, so he thought about getting City of Heroes, but he doesn't know if his computer can handle it..

You see, he's not exactly knowledgable about how memory works, all he sees is numbers when you meation gigabytes or megabytes, he doesn't know how much his computer has left, or if it can function optimal on a ceartain amount or what, all he knows is estimative games and how they do.

The Koga's computer handles Diablo 2 with no problem.
The Koga's computer cannot handle Knights of the Old Republic, within minutes the game freezes and shuts itself off.

So, is City of Heroes more like Diablo or KoToR as far as memory go's? And is it even wroth considering getting? And what kindof superheroes do you all have? (Just incase The Koga wants to go looking for you and form a Justice League..)

The Koga was thinking about how sometimes we engage in loose based rpgs where we can be anything just as long as there's no god-modding, which got The Koga to thinking, if you were in a world like Dungeons&Dragons, what do you think your npc character would look like and why?

You don't have to be a commoner with an eye-patch, (unless that's how you truly see yourself..) but you shouldn't be a two-headed dragon either lol..

Koga:

Surpsingly, more people asscosiate The Koga with a samurai then a ninja. (Especialy the way they use to act in feudal Japan..) and The Koga managed to build a story around that, The Koga WAS a samurai who was discarded by his empire for being incompetant and reckless, so, he teamed up with the enemy (ninja) inorder to get revenge and build a new empire, that new empire never came, his dissapointment and anger reached a level unknown even unto him, and he took down several ninja in a blind rage. Really his title depends on who you're asking, amongst most people (inspired by the goverment) he's referred to as the ninja trick, by most ninja/outlaws, he is the samurai treat, either way, he's a wanted man, who will reclaim his honour by making everyone wish they had just commited sepeku.. By that story arc, The Koga would be a mid to low level samurai class with no particularly special weapon, just attitude and good luck..

But what about you? What do you see your npc character as?

The Koga needs somewhere to vent, and he's got nowhere else to go..

First off, there was this cute Wiccan girl he was gonna' ask out, (she's friends with one of The Koga's friends..) and she dissapears! Not really ceartain if she ran away or what, she just dissapeared. WTF..

Secondly, his bestest friend started hanging with the wrong crowd and started doing drugs, we're messed up enough as it is, we don't need any help. XP But it's brought about a civil-war between friendships, And The Koga is now seen as the "dellussional optimist" that Peter will get through this and he has to do it when he's ready..

Third he's moving, and though it's a nice house, in a quite country nieghborhood like when he was a wee ninja, it's fairly stressful moving..

Fourth, he hasn't had contact with actual PEOPLE in about.. four months..

And now to top everything off he's lost his privlages to post at WOTC forum! Blargh! (You know, would it kill people to send you an email, or a private message before-hand, or something to show they're upset or something? -_ -;; )

Guess this means The Koga will be hanging out around here alot more often, lucky you guys.. : P *Waits for a riot to start and someone to catch on fire*

Feel free to vent yourself, The Koga is here to share your pain! (Because really, what else is he going to do? XD )

There seems to be differants amounts of magick in differant types of D&D multiverses, so which kind do you prefer? (Note: The Koga might now word these right, but you'll get the idea.)

Low:
Low magick campaigns, where it's rare, mysterous, and normaly forbidden, probably something like Hyborian (Conan d20) would be the best example, and to a lesser extent d20 modern, though frankly The Koga thinks this go's too far..

Medium:
Medium magick campaigns, where it's either rare and powerful, or common and crappy, or some combonation of the two. The Koga likes the latter more, where magick almost serves as an alternative to technology, common, but unreliable, and probably not convient.. Rare and powerful could work to, but it has to be implemented properly, as how is it rare if a PC can just waltz right into spellcasting? Unless there's a process, or he faces many more troubles then the otherwise melee or rogue type character would..

High:
Traditional D&D could be described as high magick, especialy that of Forgotten Realms or whatever, bassicaly everyone and thier mother could conceivably cast spells, it just so happens they don't "feel like it" or did not have the oppurtunity. Though frankly this seems more like a copout then actual justification for not casting spells, but then, The Koga is bias cause he dislikes high magick campaigns way more then low ones..

So, from your point of view, what kindof world do you prefer to play-in and DM? Something rich in spells like Final Fantasy? Rare accounts of magickal practice like Lord of the Rings? Or a healthy middle-ground like Legend of Zelda?

Once again, Dragon makes another article that proves they have the best D&D designing team EVER!

And it's not just a bias ninja review, (Ok maybe it is.. :P)

Dragon made several feats that go well with psionic characters or fighters, psi-warriors, soulknives, and fighters would conceivably make the best "ki oriented" ninja as used to describe the ki use in this article. As well as they should!

The Koga also notices the tribute to Naruto, both in the chakrah gestures, the manipulation of ki, and the drawing looking like Sensie Kakashi!

Perhaps with this among articles, The Koga could finnaly create a pirates vs ninja d20!
