Who do you think is the dumbest, most obnoxious, annoying creature on the boards? Here's who I think:
Kobold Cleaver

WOW!
Issue 359 is amazing. The mysteries of D&D are great, the list of villains is full of evil and nostalgia. The time dragon is a cool monster, the info on the tarrasque is long-wanted. The cover looks great, Phil & Dixie are back, cameos are made by EVERYONE in the comics, and the poster is so cool that I CAN'T DECIDE WHICH SIDE TO PUT UP ON MY WALL!
*breathes*
Thank you so much Paizo for so many years of a great magazine. I know we've known this and said it for months now, but when you actually get the final issue in your hands...it's overwhelming.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Oh my God. So great.
*breathes*
Just thank you so much. I love this issue and I love all of the Dragon and Dungeon mags I own. I can't wait for Pathfinder and I hope it turns out as great as the mags.
Just once more and I'm done.
THANK YOU!
I agree. There was something special seeing one's leter up there... My last letter.
Thanks
Daigle wrote: Halloween is my favorite holiday and has been for years. I always dress up and take pride in my costumes. In the past I have done a lot of traditional scary costumes with fx make-up and stuff. Each year I get more and more tired of going through it all. I usually have an idea for what I want to be by now and I just figured it out last night. I'm going to dress up as a kenku. I'll post pictures after the day.
What are y'all going to be/do?
Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you. I had no idea what I would be. I was gonna be a dracronian, but that word has other meanings I think, and I dont want to be mistaken for something else. I hate that. And I don't want to do a kobold this year.
But a kenku's GREAT! thanks! That's what I'll be!
I think that this is as good a time to say this as any. If this thing get's deleted, I'm sorry. If I've broken a rule, I'm sorry. But I had another account, Kobold Assassin, who acted quite annoying and insulted some people in false spelling errors. The thread was closed and eventually removed before I could apologize. I am sorry.
That has been on my chest for ages. If the postmonster would rather I not post this, I will delete it immediatly. Sorry, I didn't know the rules.

There's plenty of room for druids, rangers, and barbarians - maybe not in the city of Greyhawk itself, but the setting isn't just the city, there are a lot of other locales to set a Greyhawk campaign in. Ok. I'll look that up, too. Thanks everyone, this has been MOST helpful.
Lord Vile wrote: You might want to look at Midnight from Fantasy Flight Games. It's a low magic setting, think Lord of the Rings were Sauron won. Ok. Sounds nice.
See, When I said I hate Eberron, that was a tiny itsy-bitsy lie. There are good parts (I can't believe I just said that!). While I don't like the magic ovberload in Eberron, I prefere not to have low magic. I'll look it up.

I'm glad you like Dragonlance. I'll always love the little wonderful underdog. I still read the novels. What is Ravenloft? I've heard of it, but I have NO idea what it is, save that the cute little phanatons go in it. And same with Darksun, though isn't it a place with loads of desert? I've always wanted to try Call of Cthullu, but that's a new game system. And isn't Conan some book or movie?
I'm at work so I'm copying wikipedia and Yes I enjoy the setting and books of Dragonlance.
Ravenloft
Ravenloft is primarily a Gothic horror setting. Dungeon Masters are encouraged to use scenes that build apprehension and fear, culminating in the eventual face-to-face meeting with the nameless evil. Characters have a much greater significance attached to their acts, especially if they are morally impure, as they risk coming under the influence of the Dark Powers (through the game process called "dark powers checks") and gradually transforming themselves into figures of evil.
The magical mists of Ravenloft could appear anywhere in the Dungeons & Dragons universe, drawing evil-doers (or player characters) into the Ravenloft setting.
So this could work with Dragonlance. Also it's all very classic horror: ie Dracula Werewolves etc.
Darksun
Dark Sun is a discontinued Dungeons & Dragons campaign setting featuring the fictional desert world of Athas.
The themes of this setting could fit in the Dying Earth subgenre and include survival against the elements, ecological disaster, resource depletion, survival of the fittest, slavery and poverty, and the wide-spread use of psionic abilities. The political... Wow. Ravenloft sounds... GREAT. I own Heroes of Horror, and it is wonderful.
I'll try Ravenloft as soon as possible. The others sound nice, but I really like horror. I'll look it up. Thanks.
Lilith wrote: Kobold Cleaver wrote: What are those two worlds (I mean, I've never heard of Golarion. And I've hardly heard of Greyhawk. Ain't it some sort of world where there's all city?)? Golarion is the new world that Paizo's creating with their Pathfinder adventure paths and GameMastery Modules.
Greyhawk is the name of the setting as well as the name of a large city in said setting (the world's name is Oerth, btw.) For an intro to this classic setting, go here for a summary, then you can check out Canonfire! for other goodies. You can also pick Oerth Journal for fan-created goodness. Sounds ok, I 'spose. loads of rogues, prob'ly, and I LOVE rogues, but there ain't much room for druids, ranger, and barbarions, and those are among my favorites.
Larry Lichman wrote: Try Freeport. It's a great setting filled with colorful characters and a decent backstory. It also has pirates, undead, and a hint of Lovecraftian horror to it. What's Freeport? Never heard of it.
Fizzban wrote: I was going to say Iron Kingdoms, but that's alittle steampunky and magic tech. It's really quite good.
Forgotten Realms if you like huge mapped out worlds and if you liked the novels. Greyhawk is always fun. Ravenloft if you want something a bit more gothic. Darksun? Conan? Call of Cthulhu? You can always do Dragonlance again?

Is everybody listening to me? Good.
Help!
Sorry, that is incorrect. What I meant to say was,
'Pardon me, sir, but I am in desperate need of aid.'
You see, I could be described as a very strange D&D player.
For one thing, I HATE Eberron.
I hate it I hate it I hate it I hate it.
'Why?' you may ask?
I. HATE. it.
Ok, clearly I'm not making any impression. You see, I HATE--I mean, I dislike the whole 'Magic is Technology' feel. See, I used to like Dragonlance. But alas, I soon realized that there were only 2 reasons for that.
Raistlin. And kender.
I LOVE kender. And Raistlin is totally cool. Of course it's obvious to you that it was really the WONDERFUL novels.
And two reasons aloneth arteth noteth enougheth.
So now I need to find a good campaign setting. (NO steampunk. Thus, no Spelljammer or Planescape)
