I'm intrigued by the organization, haven't seen any great historical analogues of masonic-like societies in D&D. I expanded on the College of Mysteries in Absalom in that way.
In Absalom the treatment of slaves depends on the individual, in private anything is tolerated, in public as long as it doesn't make visitors disgusted and disrupt the trade.
