Atack of Opportunity on Armoured Dude with Earthbreaker: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17
Damage: 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (5, 2) + 3 = 10
Snarling as she sees everyone falling around her, Khismia swings her Earthbreaker hard into the armoured figure before her.
Atack Armoured Dude with Earthbreaker: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12
Damage: 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (2, 2) + 3 = 7
Growling at her stunning miss, Khismia swings her Earthbreaker back around for another Pass at the Leader.
Attack Black Clad Figure with Earthbreaker: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Vissakiel wrote: (If the armored guy is already down, I'll cast the spell on the nearest dwarf.) No chance of that happening when Khismia is on the job! Maybe I should leave him to Diviha?
Initiative: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23
Khismia turns and pulls the Earthbreaker from her back as she rushes forward.
Attack Black Clad Figure with Earthbreaker: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Vissakiel wrote: I think I might have to go back to using the online dice roller...these rolls are getting hard to believe. I'm usually not this lucky with dice. It seems it isn't just the dice rollers that hate me. I had Pen & Paper D&D on Friday night and my Character died. In 2 hours I rolled two d20 dice over 8 (and this was in battle, so there were quite a few Attacks and Spell Saves to be rolled). One was an 11 and still missed and the other was an 18 and all that did was mean that I didn't confirm a Critical Fumble. I seem to have really good luck whenever I have to roll up a Character's Stats but lousy luck when I'm actually playing. :(
Khismia looks around and attempts to find somewhere to hide.
Stealth Check: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Case in Point...
Perception Check: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
"And he's lucky I didn't gut him when he came up to me. With this damned stuff in my eyes I thought he was another Kobold for a second."
Khismia comes walking back towards the party wiping some kind of foul liquid off her face. She almost runs straight into Diviha, she's so engrossed in removing the goo.
I think Khismis should be thanking the gods for her Resistances right about now... ;)
hmmm... either that or she's gonna be in a world of trouble at some point in the near future... :/
Reflex Save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Well that can't be good... :/

Khismia's brow is furrowed and you can see that she is in a bad mood over not being able to hit something as puny as a Kobold. She simply stalks past the others to move a further ahead so she can see if there are any more of the things for her to practice on.
Perception Check: 1d20 + 1 (3) + 1 = 4 Just remember Khis stalked off in a mood by herself to do some (rather piss poor) scouting...

Khismia glances at the cute Tiefling before once more bringing her Sabre around in a sideways slice meant to do maximum injury to the annoying Kobold.
Unfortunately Diviha's alluring presence seems to be trowing off her strikes.
Attack Kobold with Sawtooth Sabre: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Confirm Critical Fumble: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16
Seriously... WTF!!! :/
OK OK here I am... sorry :(
Khismia grimaces in frustration, letting out a low growl as she brings her Sabre in low, trying to bring the last Kobold down, but inexplicably missing again.
Attack Kobold with Sawtooth Sabre: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Inexplicably my arse... I know the dice roller has it in for me. It's been talking to that Invisible Castle roller and they've ganged up on me. :(
Khismia takes another swing at the Koblods, trying to ignore Diviha so as not to spoil her concentration, but failing miserably.
Attack Kobold with Sawtooth Sabre: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Initiative: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29
Khismia waits until the kobolds are on her position before stepping out and unleashing a swing of her Sabre at the creature closest to her, effectively boxing them in with Vissakiel and Diviha.
Attack Kobold with Sawtooth Sabre: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
Khismia nods at Diviha's suggestion and presses herself in opposite Vissakiel's position, weapons at the ready and awaiting a chance to spring out and attack.
Stealth Check: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21
Khismia stands guard over Vissakiel as he examines the tracks, glancing to Diviha to make sure she is alright as well.
Once the Elf nods to her that he is done, she resumes her jorney, following the young Tiefling at a safe distance.
Khismia nods back at the elf and moves ahead of him to protect him from anything else which may be down here.

DM Dave wrote: We will go with the RAW. Clearly the groups I have been playing with have done it wrong in the past. meh... I'm happy with either way. I always thought that you rolled and doubled as well until I was shown otherwise in the rules by my GM.
Smiling at the ease of evading the creature, Khismia once more slashes out with her Sabre at the remaining rat. Unfortunately Diviha's loud curse interrupts her concentration and the blade whistles harmlessly over the rat's head.
Attack Rat with Sawtooth Sabre: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
She looks at the Tiefling and replies, "and I thought they smelled bad on the outside..."
Diviha wrote: EDIT: With a crit modifier of x2 that's 8, not bad. :) Actually for Critical Dice you roll double your dice (or triple, or quadrupal, depending on your Crit Modifier), not normal damage and double it.
eg. In this instance you would roll 4d6, so you can roll another 2d6 'cause you might get more than 4 extra. :)
Annoyed at her missed attack, Khismia once more swings her Sabre at the vermin before her, slicing cleanly through it's torso. She smiles at Vissakiel before stepping forward towards those remaining.
Attack Rat with Sawtooth Sabre: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
Confirm Critical Hit: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
Damage: 2d8 + 2 ⇒ (8, 3) + 2 = 13
She will first attack the one targetting Vissakiel if it is still there, then Diviha's. She figures that the tiny Rogue has a better chance aginst them than the Sorcerer does.
Khismia sees that they have been spotted and lashes outwith her Sabre at the nearest Rat.
Attack Rat with Sawtooth Sabre: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Khismia hefts her Sabre and Klar before her and steps back behind one of the Stagmites, waiting for the Rats to approach to a killing distance.
Stealth Check: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17
Initiative: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29
Khismia looks at the tiny Tiefling with a wry grin before turning to Vissakiel and whispering, "three should be no great problem. We should finish them quickly and continue on to the Kobold Nest. This Bugbear won't kill itself you know."
Vissakiel wrote: Wow! I just realized my post is being edited below all the previous posts! I can read what came before my post while I'm typing! Woohoo! Pretty Cool huh! :)
Khismia stops as she notices Vissakiel out of the corner of her eye. She turns to watch him as he scans the stalagmites that lay between them and their goal.
Khismia relaxes somewhat after the announcement that they will be taking the stairs.
She waits for Divhia to advance a decent distance, hten falls into step ahead of Fiani and Vissakiel, weapons ready and alert for any danger.
Khismia glances at Divhia and Fiani as she moves forward to inspect what Vissakiel has pointed out.
"I hope you are not suggesting we strap these things to ourselves and fly across the chasm," she says with a small glint of fear in her eyes. "Are we sure there is no other way?"
"More enemies to fall before our blades," Khismia snorts, still holding her weapons at the kobolds' throats.
DM Dave wrote: Khismia of the Ashborn wrote: Not understanding any of the exchange that is occurring, Khismia simply stand waiting for Vissakiel's say so, her weapons at the Kobold's throats. Vissakiel is questioning in draconic, but the kobolds are responding in common. They seem to be more comfortable with that.
ahh... OK I'll retcon that then.
Thinking that they are nearing the end of the exchange that is occurring, Khismia simply stand waiting for Vissakiel's say so, her weapons at the Kobold's throats.
Khismia steps up to the two creatures and places he Sabre against the throat of one, and her Klar at thr throuat of the other. She turns to Vissakiel, awaiting the signal to finish the measly wretches.
OK I'm back and up to date... sorry guys for holding you up
Initiative 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 11
Khismia eyes the little creatures and a smile creeps onto her lips. She strides forward to engage the nearest one, swinging her Sabre around in a vicious arc.
Attack with Sawtooth Sabre 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17
Damage 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
Vissakiel wrote: Clever, he muses. Insanely vicious...but clever. I think it would be best for Diviha to go first, Khismia. You can watch her back and our fronts. The corner of Khismia's mouth begins to curl as she replies to Vissakiel's comment. "I find that arangement acceptable."
Once the trap is disarmed, Khismia motions to the rest of the passage and whispers a little too loudly for the comfort of the others, "well done little one. Vissakiel, do you wish for me to go first. I would hate for any of you to be attacked beforeI get a chance to defend you."
She hefts the shield before her and preapres to head out upon Vissakiel's command.
Khismia wakes the next morning to be greeted by the news that there was no activity on anyone else's watch either.
"I say we just head in. We can't afford to wait any longer and my blade thirsts for the taste of vengeance on these creatures for their cowardly attack on the Gnome."
Khismia looks from one to the other of her companions before giving her opinion on the matter. "I am not worried about what kind of plan we use to bring these creatures to heel. They will feel the sting of my blade one way or the other and so whatever mean by which we come to that conclusion suits you all is fine with me."
Khismia puts on a strange looking shield that appears to be made from the skull of a lizard. A small blade protrudes from it's mouth like a deadly tongue. She also draws the wickedly serrated blade once more and nods to Diviha, preparing herself in case the teenager gets into any trouble.
"I agree with your assessment of the situation. The Professor however should return to the King and inform him of this development."
With one last look around, she finally sheathes her Sabre and moves along the road a short distance, waiting for the others to finish with the Professor before they continue their journey.
Khismia cuts down the Gnome, but stays alert, not sheathing her Sabre and not really paying attention to what the Messenger has to say, trusting that to those smarter than her.
Khismia point towards the footprints, but it appears that Fiani has already spotted them and is examining them.
She looks towards Vissakiel once more for the go ahead to cut the Gnome down, already coming to view him as the spokesperson and therefore the de facto leader of the group.
Perception Check. (1d20+1=21) WOW. Khismia's Spider Sense is tingling... IC inexplicably loves me for a change. Don't expect it to happen very often.
Khismia stays mounted, but heeds the Elf's words and scans the area, alert for any hint of danger. She does however keep her Sabre poised to deliver a blow at a moment's notice.
Khismia draws the wicked looking blade from it's scabbard and moves her horse over to within cutting distance of the rope. She holds the sword up and looks towards Vissakiel, waiting for him to say the word.
Paris Crenshaw wrote: I stayed away from alchemical items, since I didn't think they qualified as "mundane". Me too. I was gonna pick up some more Sunrods, then figured they weren't mundane enough.
Khismia turns to watch the gates close with a certain finality. She lingers a second then turns, catching up to the others with a quick jog.
"So are we simply visiting these towns in order, or what. I am not one fro planning, I am merely one for carring out said plans, so I defer to the superior tactics of you all."
Vissakiel wrote: I'm thinking we need tents, rope, lamps, blankets, rations, water, aleskins, and torches. Those are just the items that jump up at me first. I also think we should consider hiring pack animals and mounts, if we are able. As for potions and scrolls, I'm assuming healing potions would be the way to go, but I'm open to other ideas. Bought a Cure Light Wounds Potion as my 1 Potion.
Also bought Tent, Bedroll, Winter Blanket and Winter Clothes along with a Shovel.
"I agree. We should stock up on as much cold weather gear as possible."
Khismia bows her head before the King. "Thank you my Lord. Rest assured that we will get to the bottom of your disappearences."
She heads off to stock up on cold weather travelling gear.
"I will stand with you and discover the cause of your problem. Or at least i will help these fine people discover the cause of your problem and then take care of it for you. That is my specialty..."

In response to the handsome Elf, Khismia gets a far off look in her eye as she is obviously remembering something.
"I was expelled from my clan, the Ashborn, for daring to question the will of our Chief in who I was allowed to worship. Already an outcast for my pale skin, a trait not shared by my golden skinned brethren, I wanted to worship the Lady Sarenrae as opposed to the eddict that we were to venerate the Rough Beast and more specifically his Spawn Xotani. I was told never to return to my homeland for if I did then I would be hunted down and killed."
"I bought passage accross the inner sea to Absolom, and thence to Varisia. I landed in a foul City by the name of Korvosa. Finding it not to my liking, I then decided to travel north, eventually coming to a region known as the Cinderlands. I liked this region very much and while I was there I was witness to a most heinous act. I came upon a mighty barbarian, locked in combat with a red armoured figure wearing the head of an insect. It was obvious the the insect man was outmatched in a straight fight, but after a particularly viscious slice from the red garbed combatant the reactions of the larger man began to slow and his skin began to pale. The foul assasin was using poison to accomplish what he could not do through his strength of arms. I cold not abide this and so rushed to help the barbarian."
"Right before I reached them, the barbarian summoned the last ounces of his strength and struck the red assassin a mighty blow to his head staggering him. Unfortunately it was more than the barbarian could take and he collapsed on the ground. I reached the assailant and brought my kukri down on his neck. I was met with the satisfying crunch of bone and a spray of blood as the sinister man went down under the force of my blow, his life force spilling on the ash covered earth. As he went down however, his hand flicked out and a barbed dagger flew from his hand at my face. Luckily his aim was off and it merely scored its way across my cheek, leaving me with this." She lifts her hair and the car is finally fully visible to you. It is not big, tracing a straight line up her cheek to stop short of her eye, but its bright red line stands out vividly against her pale skin.
"I ran to help the dying barbarian, but it was too late for him. I burried him with honour and left the carcass of the foul assassin in the sun to rot and be consumed by scavengers. I took their weapons, learning how to master their use as I continued my travels north. Finally I reached this frozen land, a far cry from my heat washed desert homeland and here I sought work, having finally found my way as far from my home as I could. I am still trying to master the assassin's weapon, but I am confident in my abilities to use the barbarian's mighty hammer and his strange bladed shield."
She finishes her story with a long pull of her alcoholic beverage, raising the drink in salute to the fallen barbarian.
As Khismia truns to answer Fiani, her raven black hair shifts from where it was covering the right side of her face. A bright red scar is revealed, running down her cheek and in stark contrast to her pale white skin.
"I'm here because I hit things. Hard. It has served me well on my long journey here from the deserts of Qadira, so I think it will serve the King well for whatever it is he wants of us. And what do you bring to us O little flower?"
