How long does it take to look for traps? Like, per area? My GM's being a bit of a....you-know-what about this and saying I need to take 1 minute per square....a square isn't a measurement a character can abide by so I'm a little ticked off at that, and then that seems like an INCREDIBLY long time to sit there and stare at a piece of rock! While I am a Ninja, not a Rogue, I still have enough training to know what a trap looks like...I should be able to tell much faster than that. Trapfinding doesn't make it faster to look for traps, it just removes the cap on what ones you CAN find.
I guess I was just hoping to find some errata or a prestige class that would improve that ability to at least be balanced with other choices. If it's an ability you'd never use because there's always a better option, it needs to be improved. For example, if I have a choice between healing the tank for a few points or wailing on the boss...I'll wail on the boss and if he kills the tank I don't care because I can raise him. <.<; that's really a crappy way to play. And thanks for all the ideas it just...doesn't fit my character, and I want the 20th level cap for her. VERY bad. If the last boss of the campaign is slaughtering everyone and doesn't care about me because I'm barely hitting it...It'd be appropriate for RP to pop that True Sacrifice and give them a chance to win.
Please tell me there's some errata that makes their healing more powerful. Right now I'm not even as good as a Paladin and yet I give up SO many class abilities for the meager ki healing I CAN do. I have to wait til 7th for it as well, and we started this campaign as level 5...so I can't even do my JOB yet (support healer and DD). I just feel like 1hp/monk level for 2 ki and a FULL ROUND ACTION is way underpowered. Yeah, the other abilities, like a no-cost raise dead and resurrection are awesome, but no more awesome than a Magus being able to whip out a full attack and a spell at the same time. They're on the same level as the other classes. The Ki Healing ability is just way too weak.
Okay, bunch of weird questions here. I'm seriously trying to break this spell. I want honest answers, even if they favor the spell being "broken" or "overpowered". 1. Am I considered to be wielding the weapons? If not, Vicious does not deal me damage, but still does 2d6 damage to anything it hits...since it can't deal 1d6 damage to the wielder of the blades...the magic spell making them whirl around me. 2. If I AM wielding them, then could I use Defender to transfer all those juicy AC bonuses to me? 3. If I enchant them ALL with Spell Storing, they all have the same enhancement. So if I set them to unleash the spell on their next attack...then cast Wreath of Blades, do ALL four spells go off on the SAME target? Or one per target? Percent chance roll to see which blade hits them? |
