"My work is done here." Kelden says after a bit. "Let's go."

Wanders and desecrates, or is it consecrate, the remains.

More bodies consecrated to Rovagug?

Waiting for the undead thing to attack us. If it doesn't, I say we leave.

Kelden reaches in to gather the items so he can identify them.
Armor 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (10) + 13 = 23
Axe 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (11) + 13 = 24
Periapt 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (20) + 13 = 33
Scroll (Read Magic)

Any of it magical?

Will save 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24

Together then.

I was hoping some one else would volunteer to open it, but... "Kelden goes over the the sarcophagus and tries to open it."

I think you meant... something of great evil in that coffin, but also of great importance...

"Is it just me or does this pretty much scream undead?" Kelden uses his Wand of Shield and preps his scroll of Protection from Evil.

I just checked Kelden's hit points too. He is at 41 not 32
Kelden is all for opening the door.

Vrealk = 35 [current 35 hp]
Ayishida = 19 [current 3 hp]
Markhet = 43 [current 3 hp]
Celena = 41 [current 8 hp]
N'Djamena = 41 [current 41 hp]
Kalden = 32 [current 26 hp]

We need to heal.

Maybe we should pause to heal up some.

"Yes. We've come this far. We should continue to be stupid and go through those doors."

Yes. The Brave and Wise Markhet must be removed from her current predicament.

Thanks to your timely channels, Kelden is only down 10

"Thank the gods! That thing almost did me in." Kelden takes a few minutes to catch his breath.

AC 21, FF 19, T 12; HP 31/41

Short Sword grappled, inspire courage
to hit 1d20 + 5 - 2 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 5 - 2 + 2 = 7 damage 1d6 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 + 2 = 8

Kelden desperately draws his sword and flails away uselessly at the beast squeezing the life out of him.

Mad props to N'Djamena for keeping me in hit points

I should have looked closer when posting. It seems that my armor caused the spell to fail!

AC 21, FF 19, T 12; HP 41/41

Kelden casts Grease on himself.

Kelden releases a spell of flames.

Kelden uses his Wand of Shield as he steps closer to the sand kraken.

Hey! Wait a minute. Why is Kelden all up front? ;} And just so we're clear, Markhet, it was N'Djamena who wanted to mess with this thing. I was all for just turning around and going home.

Shamed by N'Djamena's words, Kelden begins to cautiously, tentatively approach the encased monstrosity. "I suppose ...we should least ... look into ... it.
Knowledge Planes 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (17) + 11 = 28

Knowledge dungeoneering 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29
Knowledge Arcane 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (13) + 12 = 25

"This is so out of my league. We can't risk waking this thing up." Kelden steps out of the room.

Sorry, I meant Lamashtu.

As Markhet, Celena and Larrs starts across Vrealk vanishes into the tunnel. He spots no traps in this well worked and Mural filled tunnel. Images of battle and glory surround him and after only forty feet he comes to large double doors of gold. A ten foot symbol of Rovagug stands out , etched upon the golden doors.

"Anyone else have a bad feeling about this? Kelden prepares to to enter the room.

Don't gnolls venerate Rovagug?

Kelden gives one more look at the treasure. "Let's get back to what's important. There's work to be done here."
Did we use the Enlarge Person/Reduce Person plan?

If we go with this plan

Kelden wrote:
OK. New plan. I have a scroll of Reduce Person and can cast Enlarge Person. So, one of us gets shrunk and the other gets enlarged and jumpified. If Seeker keeps it a Dex roll I'm the big man. If he has it be a Str roll you're the bigger man (bull's strength will help in this case). You ready for this N'Djamena?"

both of us should be able to make it. If not, would you like the Jump spell and I'll take my chances?

You have Acrobatics at +7. The difficulty is 15. You can Take 10 and make it across.
How many rolls do I need to get across? Will I need to make 30 rolls?

OK.

Maybe Larrs can come back and get Celena across? If so, that would leave N'Djamena and myself. One of us would get the Jump spell the other would have to try their luck... with 30 skill checks.

That's why I'm asking. The thing is I don't think Kelden can make it without the spell either, but his chances are better than N'Djamena's.

No takers on the +10 to Acrobatics for jumping?

that is a long way. I can cast Jump once today. Who should get it?"

Also search the stairs (aid other) while using Detect Magic
Perception 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22

"That leaves us with the problem of how to get across the room."

"I still don't trust it. Let's get past this room and, once we've taken care of everything, we can return here and collect some of this treasure."
Cast Detect Magic

Kelden targets the coins with a use of his TK Fist ability, then, if nothing out of the ordinary happens or there is no response he'll fire an arrow.

I hadn't considered that it might be an illusion and I'm the party wizard.
Will save 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10

"The trick will be to get across without attracting the attention of whatever is guarding this place. I don't like the idea of going from pillar to pillar, but I like the piles of gold on the floor even less."

Kelden makes himself comfortable and begins studying his spellbook. Or at least he tries to read his spellbook as Markhet's unclothed form proves a bit of a distraction for him. He keeps hoping that Ayish will join her.

Have gnolls as my favored enemy. they'll be too occupied to look for us and there will be less of them to oppose us tomorrow.

Let's rest so that the players and GM can get 'reset'.

My records for Kelden are up to date, but I see no problem with doing a reset after the choppyness of our recent postings.

When the dm suggests you rest before an encounter you should listen.

"We just came up. There was nothing down that way. Maybe there's a way down in the back." Kelden indicates the passage behind the crumbling walls.

Follow Vrealk's lead.

Kelden makes his way to the stairs. With a smile on his face, Kelden prepares his bow for more action.
