Is the crowd hostile towards the guy on the ground or more neutral?
Keen moves in close to the fountain on the south side (skirting the mob) and moves about 20' away from the thug with the pipe and bares his claws. "If you want to live you will drop the pipe and clear out of here", gesturing at the 6 thugs, "all of you."
Keen is going to keep an eye out for trouble but otherwise stick pretty close to Kessel.
He's also going to casually flirt with any waitresses he happens across. If he gets a moment he'll try and corner one and try and gather a little information ;)
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16
"Is cannibalism and butchering humans part of your standard guard training? We did mention they were serving up people didn't we? Is there something going on we should know about?"
"Look, you don't need to tell me. I cleared out when the cattle got fussy."
Keen looks at Kessel for a minute then holds out his hand. "Welcome aboard mate, I'm Hakeen." He flashes a big grin. "Hope you don't regret this, we haven't had the best of luck lately."
Keen takes some time to speak with the cleric about Euphegina's end. He won't lie but he plays up her role and talks about how she died protecting the rest of the group.
"Kidnapping, also cannibalism. What sort of monsters are you people." Keen manages to resist lashing out at the guy but instead looks away. "Dogs like you should be put down. The only reason I don't kill you right now is the bounty on your head and the knowledge that you will be put in prison to rot."
Keen's rage threatens to boil over again but he calms a bit.
"You guys bind this... monster. I would likely kill him for what they did to Euphegenia."
Keen spits at Vankerskin "What kind of foul creatures carve up humans as food?"
Does his spear have reach?
If Vankerskin attacks Reg Keen is going to move into the room almost opposite Reg and try to angle close enough to get Vankerskin with burning hands. If he can't safely get him with burning hands Keen will use the wand of magic missiles again.
Keen's face bleaches white and he goes into a corner and vomits.
"We are supposed to take some of them alive... I am going to have a lot of trouble keeping that pledge." Seeing the bodies once more Keen shudders anew "If only those idiot street vermin knew what the meat they were eating was."
Looking at the gnome "Can we trust her to keep quiet? She wasn't here earlier but she might be with them. Either way we need to move, quickly, they probably heard us."
Seeing no one else in the room Keen carefully looks back out into the hallway and listens.
Keen shouts the command phrase for his wand, "ANGEL FARTS", and a dart of energy lances across the room into the guy with the cleaver. Then he charges across the room, claws bared so he can
I am hoping since we went in the morning and aren't leaving that at least Keen will have time to get a full 8 hours and recharge his spells before we head out in the wee hours but if we have to he will go on wand power and claws also.
So what time does he gain his spells? Sunrise? When do the marks show up at the butcher shop?
"I don't care if Bean doesn't have all his powers, he can use his arms. We need to move, we need to make them pay for Euphegenia's death. The longer we wait the more chances they will get away."
"I'll see if I can track down Elrick. Then we should rest for a bit so I can restore my magical energies. We can wake up a few hours after midnight and then I will be ready."
Keen is going to see if he can't chase Elrick or some other help up. Then he's going to head back for Reg's place? And rest.
Hrm... well if we find somewhere where we have 2 full rounds to stop Keen can use the wand with a check also. Right now I'm thinking full on triple move RUN! preferably turning down an alley to get out of longbow range.
Seeing Euphegenia go down Keen stops for a moment and gasps...
Then he pauses for a moment and memorizes all the faces in the room for later. We'll be back, he thinks to himself, and there will be hell to pay
Looking at Reg he says "Can you use a healing scroll? I can but it's hit or miss and we don't have much time for a miss right now."
If reg can use the scroll Keen will use grease once again, catching as many of the guards as he can in the effect. Otherwise he will try to use the scroll himself. Either way when he finishes his action he's going to try and get Bean and Reg moving down the street after his action.
Hoping the group will beat a strategic retreat Keen is going to back off a bit and try once again to use the entangle scroll in his possession. Targeting the group of folks on the left side of the map.
I'm not sure what the rest of the party is doing... are we withdrawing or regrouping for a charge?
I'm going to work my way around the outside of the crowd towards trying to get closer to the door. When I get about paralell with the door I'll use entanglement on the crowd opposite me, trying to get as many folks other than party members as possible.
Requires a UMD check since it's a druid scroll:
UMD (1d20+7=10)
Fzzzzzzzrt***!!
I slam the scroll into my fist. "Damnit, defective scroll!"
Still trying to act like one of the crowd Keen is going to try and get into the building and use his scroll of sleep without the crowd noticing he's one of them.
Keen is completely dumbstruck by the complete predictability of coming to the front door while a ready mob is brewing.
Quietly to Reg "If we don't leave now the streets will run red with the blood of innocents, and probably ours. We either need to kill this man and bar the door or get out of here, NOW"
"What we don't want to deal with is a bunch of charity cases lined up at their door waiting for their hand-outs. We'd get lynched if we tried to raise a hand against them."
"Morning is best but if there is a line out the front door we should wait. Somehow I don't think they are going to come nicely, they know what's in store for them as deserters."
Keen continues to flirt and flatter as much as possible, hoping that if it doesn't help today perhaps he can bank it. For later, in the end he'll take the sleep, color spray, protection from evil, entanglement and 2 Lesser healing scrolls if she has 2.
Keen will also go by a tailor and buy a set of courtiers clothes and matching jewelry so he will fit in if they are going to visit the queen. (PfRPG says 30gp for the clothes and 50gp for the jewelry).
When Keen returns he is dressed to the 9s in an expensive court outfit with matching jewelry and raring to go and collect the reward from the queen.
Keen lays out all the treasure and says "If anyone wants any of these things then claim them now. We'll sell the rest and then once the rest is sold you can pay us back for any items you claimed. Then I'm going shopping."

I assume if someone wants something we appraise it then after treasure is divvied they pay the group back at the value we would have been able to sell it for (usually 1/2 price).
I don't mind you guys RPing taking care of the children but Keen just isn't much interested. There is no reason Can we please get cooking on some of this stuff as this bit is really starting to drag?
Keen would love to ditch the second wand of MM and pick up some useful scrolls or cool magic gee-gaws. Can Bean go with him and liquidate ninja weapon and other junk and we divide it up and do a little shopping? Probably not much but he might be able to pick up a scroll or something. Anyone? Also, what about the seer, are we going back there?
Seeker, does Keen have any luck chasing down the crest?
"Half? That's a prince's ransom. Let's find a nice orphanage and donate perhaps 50gp and 20gp/ week as long as they take good care of the kids... kids should be able to get good care for that. That way we can check up on them and make sure they are doing a good job as well."
"Some of this stuff looks like it belongs to someone. Maybe if we track down who it belongs to we can get a bigger reward."
"Lets split up, you can see about finding somewhere good to take the children, I'll try and track down these coats of arms. We should stay in groups since the city is pretty rough right now."
Keen is going to sketch all the coats of arms and go out and try and track down who owns it. Is anyone going with Keen?
Since we had overnight can Keen make an attempt to identify the magic items we picked up?
Obviously bored and in a bad mood from dealing with a posse of children in a small building, Keen is going to hang back unless he sees an attractive looking woman in which case he will interject himself in the discussion and express concern for the children's future.
Hakeen glances at the children with passing interest then returns his attention to the growing chaos in the city, his eyes lingering on a burning building in the distance. "The Seer's, the blacksmith's, it makes little difference to me, Laam is dead. We can puzzle out the Seer's problem later."
