Karzak's eyes light up at Tal's diversion, and he starts towards the bar. He growls over his shoulder at Nester, obviously being above consideration of such things as tracking...Karzak is swift to action and rarely thinks prior to engaging in it.

Yeah; we'll head back then with the artifact...just after we properly insulate our insides fer the journey. He begins rummaging behind the bar for a few mugs.

Karzak grunts noncommittally, then nods. Fair 'nuff, though I'd rather see that bartender speared and gutted. She'll be dangerous if we ever see 'er like again.

I'm not really sure what faction to go with yet; none really seem to fit Karzak all that well.

Karzak enters and immediately thinks of ordering a drink or five. But, seeing his companions watching their suuroundings warily, he also looks for someone or something with which to engage in a fine drunken brawl.

Buahahaha! C'mon Tal; that wench have ya' so mixed up that ya' had to try and keep up with us, eh? So...how'd that work out for ya'? Karzak offers a wide grin, witnessing the end result of Tal's night. An' where's yer dancin' partner this mornin'? I figured the two a' ya' might send us off with a right jolly jig!

Karzak gives a grunt and a nod at the decision - apparently what passes for shining approval in his book. He pats his rock solid but slightly round belly and roars a challenge. Ha! Bringin' a fellow dwarf too, then? I'll outlast each one a' ya', drink fer drink!.

Karzak casts his eyes down, looking like a child caught with his hands in a cookie jar. He idly turns a stone over and then back again with his heavy boot. Yeah...guess so.... He seems to want to go further, perhaps to expound upon how much ale those additional 10gp would buy. But, he thinks better of it and keeps his trap shut, even stifling a rumbling belch.

Karzak totes the ale with ease, grumbling at the fact that he was carrying it instead of drinking it. He grins at the sight of the fat halfling, hoping that the look didn't come off as his usual scowl. Now, 'ere's one who likes 'is drink. I think we'll get along jus' fine.

Karzak defers to Tal in the whole speaking department, hoping that the man had a more glib tongue than he. He waits for his time to shine, hoping to share quite a bit of the ale...and soon.

Karzak grumbles at Tiann's ministrations...once he wakes up that is; but he eventually mutters a quiet "Thank you", and bows his head, suddenly finding his feet very interesting. He's only too happy to change subject and move on. I'll take watch when it's completely dark if its the same with you; kin see better'n most of ya' tall folk anyhow.

Karzak looks up from the corpse and gives Jake a lopsided grin. Then, his eyes roll back to show their whites, and he collapses into a heap of sweaty, bloody, hairy dwarven flesh with scratched and dented armor.

Karzak growls in anger at the sight, and particularly at the words of magic. He lets out a feral roar as he charges towards the kobold.

Double move to get adjacent...I think I can do that...can't see any difficult terrain in the route, and he'd go around the log

Right; let's go ahead and see what he's got ta' be so damned cheerful about. Karzak advances with his usual lack of caution, looking about the log for the source of the fine tune.

Karzak starts out rather well, but the layer of slime that soon coats his armor makes movement difficult after the first few hours. He stumbles several times later on in the journey but, amazingly enough, avoids getting any leeches attached to him.

Karzak snorts at the sight, then clamps his mouth shut with a gulp, realizing that he was only barely more nimble than Tiann in an environment like this. He uses as much care as a heavily armored, thickly muscled dwarf can muster.
