To Karkalla: "Welcome aboard. If Amella vouches for you, I'll trust that you're able. Hand over your weapons to Master Finn for safe keeping and stow the rest of your gear. There's sailing to do."

"H-hand over my crossbow?" Karkalla says nervously Glancing over at Amella Who I'm assuming will nod for her to do it She somewhat reluctantly hands it over to finn "Keep good care of it. It's a keep sake from my dad." She says with no small hint of pride in her voice. "Do I have to hand this over as well?" She asks pulling out the dagger "I use it for cutting rigging and the like."

Karkalla looks each of the group over as she is introduced. Finn, Thoven and Toxim seemed nice enough, the Warforged was a bit unsettling she got the distinct impression that it had been staring at her as for Ardanto....She quickly gave a suprised glance to Amelia as if to say "They made him Captain over you?" Quickly recovering herself she smiled and nods
"Pleased to meet ya. As you probably already heard I'm Karkalla Swifthunt. My old man used to serve under Amelia." She says the last part with quite a bit of pride "So I'm going to follow in my fathers footsteps and serve under her as well"

He turns to look her over as she approaches, keeping a respectful distance until Amelia has welcomed her and feels fit to introduce her. He feigns disinterest as he continues to organise the loading, but checks her over with occasional glances to see if she is armed, how she carries her self and if she is fit (Ardanto really can't help him self).

Karkalla is about 4'10, with waist length brown hair done in a long Braid and blue eyes. Like all shifters Karkalla is quite hairy but clearly goes to great lengths to keep herself well groomed giving her a more civilised appearance than a lot of shifters have, she also has the build of someone who spends a lot of time doing physical work leaning more towards athletic than Muscular. For clothing she wears fairly standard Sailor attire Think what Elizabeth Swan wore for most of Pirates of the Caribbean 2 minus the hat.

For weaponry she has what appears to be a dagger sheathed in her left boot and more obviously a Cannith repeater Crossbow slung to her back that is clearly very well maintained and of a more impressive make than one would expect a regular run of the mill Sailor to posses.

She carries herself with a confident gait Especially when she is talking to Amelia.

Presently

"Captain Amella Captain Amella" Karkalla called towards the ship as she got near seeing Amella turn and hearing the language she used in hailing her made Karkalla grin even more Same old Amella She thought to herself as she drew next to the gangplank. "I'm here to follow in my old man's footsteps." She called back to Amella "Permission to come aboard Captain?"

Starting a few minutes earlier

Karkalla trailed along the road head held low. She had been in town for nearly a month since managing to get a ride from Breland in the hope of following in her fathers footsteps but things were not going well at all. There weren't many ships that were willing to accept someone who was both a Shifter and Female and those that would were mostly of the pirate variety and as a certain old friend of her Father would have said "She would rather eat a Rothe's S&*$ than join a crew of them."

Currently she was heading towards a pair of recently arrived ships apparently owned by some wealthy noble that had just sailed in Knowing that this was her last chance otherwise she would have to return home so she had set out to greet the ship although with little hope of being recruited.

That However all changed once she actually reached the pier looking over the ship she saw the normal collection of sailors and scallywags, a Warforged and.... Karkalla did a double take as she spotted the old friend of her fathers she had just been thinking about. Breaking into a huge toothy grin she began to rapidly head towards the ship.

Spoiler:
You were mentioning Amelia and Karkalla knowing each other I was thinking that Amelia could have served with Karkalla's father and she was the one that delived the news of Her fathers demise as well as bringing Karkalla her fathers Kannith repeater bow.

Set piece Decanter of Black breath (Not an actual campaign game but we were using the set piece.)

Victims

Merle F Catfolk Fighter 7 spherewalker 5

Hurai F Elf Ranger 11

NPC Lonicera Moonthrush F Bard 8 (Made her a Cohort after entombed with the Pharaohs)

After purchasing a decanter from a travelling merchant Merle was delighted to discover that in fact led to a small exotic Demi-plane taking along her best friend Hurai and her cohort Lonicera Merle headed in to explore her new acquisition during which they came to a room with 4 serving girls who claimed to serve the new owner of the decanter. After accepting this story* and being waited on hand and foot for a little while one of the servants suggest that they head downstairs foe a bath to try and relax themselves.

heading into the bathhouse Merle and Lonicera decide they will give the bath a try whilst Hurai declines**. The two head into the side room to change and whilst in there they hear a cry and a loud splash so rush out half dressed to see what has happened*** Seeing only air bubbles and thinking Hurai has simply slipped and fell into the pool the two run over to try and pull her out however as soon as they get to the edge it quickly becomes clear what has really happened when a pair of Mohrgs burst forth from the water grab both of them and pull them under. unarmed and unarmoured the three were unable to free themselves and one by one fell unconscious as they ran out of air.

Waking sometime later**** the three found themselves stripped of all there weapons and magical gear given new fashion accessories in the form of arm and leg manacles and introduced to there new genie master as his new servants.

* failed a sense motive against there bluff
** made a perception check to notice something in the water so decided to go over and have a look.
*** Failed a perception check to hear the Mohrgs
****Dm decided it would be a bit better if they were captured instead of killed in case the rest of the group wanted to try and rescue them
