The key looks to be maybe a trunk key perhaps, its about the same size and make as a few she has seen on sea chests over the years.

Changing her plan slightly she goes to check the cargo hold to see if there are any trunks that match the key.

I'm all for asking her some questions mostly to ascertain if she is the Saboteur or not.

"Maybe one of us should go and have a look through her things ta see if there is anything that could prove things."

"Yes, let's take her to a cabin that's out of the way to question her. We don't want the crew to see yet."

I believe it is more of a case of us claiming we are not like the other guys but one of the first things they see us doing to there eyes is exactly what the other guys used to do (ie flogging someone half to death whilst he claims he did nothing wrong)

"Aye long as there are a few of us in the room I doubt she will be able ta try anything."

"Wait -- you think there could be two impersonators on this ship?" Finn groans in frustration. "Are we cursed or something? What did I ever do to deserve this?"

"What I think he is saying is that just because 'she' is a shapeshifter doesn't necessarily mean she is the one who has been doing everything. I think we should talk ta her first before we make a big scene in front of the entire crew."

"Actually come ta think about it maybe it would be best ta question 'her' first. I doubt she will be able ta pull anything with all three of us there."

Ardanto would think you are all a bunch of hypocrites if anyone bothers to inform him. Is it okay for you to beat up and imprison the crew members because they are not nobles?

No but Imprisoning a crew member because they are not who they say they are I would think would be a fine precaution In most cases.

Well I thought we would do something to assume her true form first Knock her out maybe?

Brig would be the most suitable place I would think.

Karkalla goes and gets some rope (Assuming it will be easy enough to find some on the main deck) "Best be getting her ta the brig we can figure out what ta do from there"

Are we waiting till out of eye (and hopefully) earshot of the rest of the crew?

Karkalla stands watching events a look of slight unease on her face as she wonders why they never mentioned this to her. She looks around to see if all the others are there and if any of them are looking as confused as she is.

Karkalla pauses to see what Dauross has to say. "Ya may be on ta something I mean I don't know him as well as ya do but his moods do seem ta change very suddenly at times I mean going from happt ta angry ta moody ta singing songs and the like ain't exactly normal behaviour."

"I'll go get him." She proceeds to get rowed back to the Sea Wyvern (or if they are close enough simply shift and swim back) Once aboard she heads directly for Ardanto's and proceeds to shake him awake "Ardanto Lady Lavina wants ta see you right now."

Once she finishes explaining Karkalla continues. "Now ta be Honest here I don't like ya Anver and I especially don't agree with what ya did with the two girls but as far as I was concerned the matter was settled as soon as I got the two girls away from ya they didn't want ta take the situation any further and I wasn't going ta force the matter. Also as much as I hate ta admit it much of what Anver said is true." She pauses a moment a look of either distaste or maybe regret on her face
"The captain however took things way to far I mean besides what he did ta Anver I don't think a ship full of former slaves are going ta be to happy ta see anyone get flogged half ta death no matter what the person has done."

Karkalla sighs before going into a full explanation into what happened.

Karkalla spends most of the journey in stony faced silence Cursing herself for getting stuck in this mess.

Ardanto is genuinely surprised that Karkella would bow to the pompous nobles demands and take him to see Lavinia rather than follow the captain of the ship back. But he decides she has obviously thrown her lot in with Avner and just gives her a sour look as he disembarks.

Karkalla for her part looks at Ardanto with the kind of expression you would give to someone you suspect of having completely lost there mind.

Getting over her shock Karkalla moves over to Anver and begins trying to heal him with her cure light wand.

Karkalla looks between Ardanto and Anver a look of somewhere between shock and utter revulsion on her face.

"Oh Bloody Khyber" Karkalla mumbles staring at the sky and beginning to wonder if maybe she would have been better minding her own buissnes back in the hold.

Is Lavina's ship anywhere remotely in the area?

"So I suppose you have some kind of plan ta explain ta the rest of his family if something happens ta him? Ya seem ta be forgetting that we wont be out here forever."

Karkalla face remains relatively expressionless at Ardanto's outburst Before responding (out of earshot of Anver) "Doesn't really matter what he thinks he acts like. What does matter is his family are helping ta fund the expedition which means he or his family could make things very difficult fer lady Vanderboren if they decide to."

Being that none of the crew are in earshot Karkalla decides to speak her mind "Idiot or not If ya had ended up drownin him there would be hell ta pay and what would Lavina think....I mean Bloody ell ya may as well have just made him walk the plank."

With Ardanto's help Karkalla tries to get Anver to the nearest ship. Glaring at Ardanto the entire way

Karkalla Keeps an eye on Anver seeing that it seems he is going to drown she dives into the water to try and once again save his miserable hide

Shifting once she is in the water and going to attempt to keep Anver afloat till another ship arrives.

Just before Ardanto leaves to confront Anver Karkalla decides to say her peace "Uh captain I hope I'm not overstepping my bounds here but are ya sure this is a wise idea? I mean Aver is a filthy parasite of a man and if anyone be deserving a flogging it's him but wont this cause problems for lady Lavina in the long run?"

Karkalla goes to find Ardanto. After waking him she begins to explain. "Ardanto sir Anver be insisting that he speak ta ya before his floggin" She seems somewhat uncomfortable with what is happening.

Karkalla heads back to wherever Amella is "Well we got him up on deck but he's wantin ta see the captain."

Well that makes my job a lot easier Karkalla thinks to herself before responding "Not a problem well be more than happy ta take ya upstairs ta see the captain" She looks to the two accompanying her hoping they are thinking the same thing she is.

"Ya know quite bloody well what you have done with those two girls. The captain knows and he is wantin yer rear end flogged."

Assuming that Amella doesn't have Karkalla thrown in the brig for insubordination She heads Below deck to get Anver "Well ya bloody went and done it now." Is the first thing she says to Anver upon seeing him.

If anyone saw Amella come from the captains quarters she had a look like steel bars on her face. She sent Vash , who was a hulking Brut of a half orc off to fetch Karkalla and once the shifter was in her sight she tore into her "How dar' ya hide som' em like this! I better nev'r hear ol th' like again! Now get that shifter ass of yourn below decks and haul th' no good Bastard up here! ' She looked like her glare alone could kill "Take Vash and Selios and ya get him up here and ya do it now!" She bellows.

Karkalla actually shocks herself by bellowing back to Amella "Now wait one bloody second I asked those two girls if they wanted me ta take them ta you or Ardanto ta explain what Anver did but they said they didn't want ta And I wasn't about ta drag those two into something they didn't want ta be part of. I also wasn't going ta leave them alone by themselves on a ship full of strangers after what they had been through." A moment later she calms herself down "Look captain I'm not trying ta hide anything from ya but those girls are scared and I couldn't bring myself ta force them ta do something that they didn't want ta do. For all the good it's done me. I think there more scared of me now than they were of Anver."

Karkalla's face pretty much falls in as she realises what an idiotic mistake she has just made. "I I-m sorry I didn't mean ta......." She slumps down next to them "I'm just making a big mess of things aren't I? I cant possibly understand what the two of ya went through yet here I am acting like I can just make things better." She looks over at the two of them "I'm sorry if ive said anything ta upset you I'm not trying ta do anything ta hurt ya's I hope ya can believe that."

Karkalla sighs as she watches the two girls beginning to wonder if what she was doing was helping or making things worse. Deciding to try and change the subject she begins to try and talk to them about themselves "So where are the two of ya from?"

"Okay I wont tell the captain if that's what ya really want but let me know if Anver or any of the others try ta pull anything."

Karkalla makes sure the two girls are settled in and looks in on them to make sure that no one else trys anything she also asks the girls if they want the captain told about what Anver did.

Just to pint out Amella is more then capable of running the ship. And ya know Karkalla that is Avner's 'room"

In that case she will find another area (where Anver or any of the more lecherous members of the crew are likely to find them)

Once they seem comfortable (wherever they settle) Karkalla lays down next to the two freed slaves to further discourage Anver if he decides to show up and she lets herself nod off to sleep.

"Fair enough" Karkalla responds "ya can rest here with me fer a while Since I doubt ya will be wanting ta run into Anver any time soon and none of the crew will be around ta bother ya." Assuming they agree Karkalla does her best to make the area as comfortable for them as possible. Then once she is sure they are settled in she once again try's to get some rest.

Once they are done eating Karkalla speaks to them again "Those are some nasty wounds ya have would ya like me ta take ya to the healer and get them seen ta or we can wait till ya feel rested before ya do that?"

"Well yer not going ta have ta worry nobody is selling anybody off" As she speaks Karkalla removes her jacket and puts it over the girl "I guess ya must be hungry?" Karkalla quickly plunders one of the foodstores for some basic food and water.

Karkalla immediately calms down upon seeing the two girls "Look I'm not going ta hurt ya my names Karkalla what's yours? and how did that t%~% get ya both down here?" Whilst she talks Karkalla checks to see for any serious injuries on the two girls.

Karkalla feels her cheeks going red though whether with embarrassment or anger she is not really sure. Doing her best to calm herself she responds her voice a low threatening hiss "Ya leave the girl alone or not only am I going ta kick yer rear here and now but I'll let the captain know so he can kick yer rear and throw you off the ship ta boot."
