Kara begins to sing a song about a girl who fought against her families wishes and ran away so she could live out her life happy.
Inspire Competence+2 to attack and damage rolls.
Keeping her song going she pulls out her shortbow, nocks an arrow, and launches it at one of the ondead ogres
Attack:1d20 + 12 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 12 + 2 = 31
Damage:1d4 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 1 + 2 = 6
From where I am I beleive I can see ogre #3, so I'll shoot at that one.
Okay, I'm a bit confused, am I the green/red K or the green/red L?
"Why do the tall folk always want to rush into something?"
Whispering the words to a spell, Kara gracefully goes through the movements needed as well.
"Kita mur-nah shetel!"
Mirror Image:1d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
8 minute duration = 48 rounds
"They look like they are dead." She whispers.
"I might be able to lure them away with a spell."
Perception1d20 + 12 ⇒ (10) + 12 = 22
Finrod Moruin wrote: Moving up next to Kara Finrod rasps out, "Kara, you see those vultures?" He points them out circling far overhead.
"Do you know any reason they would not be attacking the bodies? This seems unnatural."
Kara glances up at the circling birds, doing her best to remember if there is anything, magical or natural, that would keep the scanvengers away from carrion...

"The circle's magic should be gone by first light tommorrow."
Sunaj Fellhand wrote: "Damn them."
"Agreed, as long as you are damning them for what they do, instead of something stupid like being a drow. One can't choose the parent he or she gets, or what fate awaits them. Trust me, I know that a bit too well."
"If there is nothing in the cave, I'm going to try to break these accursed circles."
Carefully, Kara tries using here boot to rub away the lines, hoping to ruin any chance they have of being used again. She then steps back to see if it worked, casting a spell under her breath...
Detect Magic to see if any magic remains in the circles, if so, she will follow it up with Dispel Magic
Kara barely supresses a laugh.
"Dwarves causing a rock-slide... I have got to start writting this stuff down!"
"How badly are you two hurt?"
Sir Basil de Fermer wrote: "Do you see anything Mistress?" he asks of the halfling woman Need the DM to return before I can reaaly answer that. I suspect RL may be interfering.
"Be careful everyone, there may still be drow in the area."
Kara warily looks about for any drow that might be hiding...

Kara goes back to her room to collect her gear, returning with her braided. A quick incantation muttered under her breath, and her hair turn light brown.
"Ready." She says with a grin.
Ready and willing!
"I can see this is going to be an interesting group to travel with."

"May I ask why you are adding to your bow?"

come to think of it did anyone buy a horse
I've got Phantom Steed for emergencies, though I guess mount would have been a better choice for basic travel.
"Most likely one I could happily lose myself in..."
"Amazing. The time alone it would take to create such a thing... it is far more than any amount I have taken when making something."
Sunaj Fellhand wrote: "Good morning to you as well, milady."
"Join me for some repast?"
"I see no reason not to."
"Good morning everyone. Who else enjoyed a good night's sleep?"
"So just do what you feel is right and hope for the best? I've done that before, a few times actually. A good plan that needs little planning."
Kara, having gotten her food, offers a plan.
"If I go a bit ahead of the group with one other person, I will become the target of their ambush. Once the focus is on us, the rest of you can launch a sneak attack."
"But I'm open to ideas."
"I can ask around to see if anyone has a map that is up-to-date and well priced. Shouldn't be to hard, to find, seeing as it is a trade route."
"As for my part in the ambush, I can hold my own in melee and am a fair hand with bow. Despite this scar," she points to the one running down her left eye, "I can handle a whip well enough in a pinch. I also have a bit of magic, a voice for song, and bits of knowledge on various subjects at my disposal."

"Well now," she thinks to herself, "Who would have guessed Sunaj likes me? I hope he doesn't find out I lied about who I am, he seems nice..."
"So the plan is simple then? I'm starting to wish I had hair less visible in the moonlight."
"I'm going to have to pick up some writing materials, this has the makings of a great tale." She thinks for as moment. "Perhaps I will be remembered for more than my carnival shows..."
Sunaj Fellhand wrote: "Milady, it is not my intention to exclude you. To the point, I insist that you accompany me. I will let none of these hooligans harm a single hair on your beautiful head." "How nice of you. Do not worry about me overly much, it wouldn't do for a member of our company to get hurt protecting me."
Sunaj Fellhand wrote: Sunaj nods at the prompt response. "Gentlemen, I would like to meet with these survivors. All interested to do so may accompany me. But those who believe that their time can be best applied to something else, please do not let me stop you." Kara stares at Sunaj pointedly.
"Just the gentlemen? And here I thought I was included in the group."
There is a hint of amusement in her words.
Kara returns her attention to the discussion.
"Perhaps a magic of some kind is being employed to counteract the healing spells? The drow may not want the survivors to survive long."
Unconsciously trying to hide her face with her hair, "Lyra" answers softly.
"Drow? My teacher told me about them once. Dark elves with an affinity for spiders and subterfuge. If the tales are true(and I have little doubt they are), something is very wrong. I'll lend my services, as it should prove to be a rather interesting trip. Plus, my songs can help keep moral up!"

Rejoice, for you all are now trwveling with a ex-perfomer!
Background is ready, and equipment is set. Ready to adventurer.
Sunaj Fellhand wrote: Since the GM has said that we'll all be meeting up eventually at Tilverton, I recommend Highmoon and also Dagger Falls. High moon sounds right, thanks.
Sunaj Fellhand wrote: It's the Drow Spellcasters we have to worry about. Clerics and wizards... drow clerics and wizards. *shudders
Can anyone give a specific town or city in Faerun? I need a home to run from.
Sir Basil de Fermer wrote: Reporting for duty
btw any drow spotted wielding twin scimitars is the first target..ok guys
Dual-weilding is fairly common in the first book "Homeland", so if you want to attack every Drizzt wanna-be go ahead, I can sing just as well when I'm fighting the casters.
All hypothetical on my part.
Except for a few minor details(and the background), I'm ready.
