Background:
Growing up on the streets of the city of Katapesh isn't easy, especially if there's no one to watch your back. An unwanted mouth to feed, Kallit found himself an orphan at a young age. A small child, he made his way as a youth keeping his head low, avoiding trouble, and lifting a little coin from unwarying market goers when he could. As he grew older his skills at relieving honest folk from their gold developed, and in Katapesh anything that can be bought, bartered, or used to make money gets noticed and so did Kallit.

Approached initally by other street urchin, Kallit found his first family among a small time theives guild. He worked the Nightstalls as young boy, slipping between shadows while working his small blade to cut purse strings. He was swift and unobtrusive. His hands were smooth and quick. A rare talent, and rare talents attract attention.

On a typically night while working the stalls Kallit relieved a man of a pouch hidden beneath his dust cloak. Retreating to the shadows to explore the contents he found that the pouch contained currency not of gold or silver, but that which is just as common in Katapesh, the narcotic Pesh. Hurrying away from the market Kallit did not make it far before the Pesh dealer, discovering the robbery, stopped him. The dealer gave Kallit a choice: the blade, or a job.

For several years Kallit ran Pesh for a small time dealer. He was successful, if such things can be counted as success, and over time Kallit began to believe that he was valuable. Over time Kallit began to believe he had found a new family. This small collection of criminals was not unlike the urchins he'd known before, except these men lived in villas and manses. They drank expensive wines and held elaborate parties. Affluence was intoxicatin and Kallit drank it up.
He had forgotten; however, the initially circumstances of his employment, and to the men he worked for Kallit was still nothing more than an street urchin; skilled, but expendible.

It was this fact that led Kallit to Haleen. Making a run one night to the market stalls Kallit ran afoul with a rival gang. Fleeing from the thugs, Kallit retreated to the Dealer's safe house, only to find the door locked, and those inside unwilling to open it. Corned at the end of alleyway it would have been the end for Kallit had Haleen not happened by. Seeing the small boy in trouble, she lept into action, scattering the his would-be attackers. Haleen offered the boy a place to stay and some food. Confused about his betrayal, and uncertain what to do, Kallit accepted her offer.

The next few years Kallit and Haleen grew to be close. It had taken time, wary of trusting yet another family for Kallit to open up to Haleen, but her good nature and caring spirit won him over. Haleen encouraged Kallit to develop his skills and earn the respect of men who had always looked down on him, however he felt he might do so.

Recenlty, Haleen has gone missed. Kallit, young, and still unsure of himself wonders if he has been betrayed yet again by yet another family. Upon hearing of her potential whereabouts, Kallit has determined that he must know if she is in danger or if she has simply abandoned him. It is with a mixture of gnawing doubt and concerned urgency that he departs Katapesh in search for her...

Personality:

Appearance:
Standing just five foot two, and soft of face and hand, Kallit is often mistaken for being much younger than his 17 year. With sandy blonde hair, a short pugish nose, and face often smudged with grime Kallit could easily pass for any of the street urchins riddling the streets of Katapesh.
