Feat descriptions:

EXOTIC WEAPON PROFICIENCY (Bladed Scarf) {Kapenia Dancer 1}
Choose one type of exotic weapon, such as the spiked chain or whip. You understand how to use that type of exotic weapon in combat, and can utilize any special tricks or qualities that exotic weapon might allow.
Prerequisites: Base attack bonus +1.
Benefit: You make attack rolls with the weapon normally.

WEAPON FOCUS (Bladed Scarf) {Kapenia Dancer 1}
Choose one type of weapon. You can also choose unarmed strike or grapple (or ray, if you are a spellcaster) as your weapon for the purposes of this feat.
Prerequisites: Proficiency with selected weapon, base attack bonus +1.
Benefit: You gain a +1 bonus on all attack rolls you make using the selected weapon.
Special: You can gain this feat multiple times. Its effects do not stack. Each time you take the feat, it applies to a new type of weapon.

WEAPON FINESSE {1st}
You are trained in using your agility in melee combat, as opposed to brute strength.
Benefit: With a light weapon, elven curve blade, rapier, whip, or spiked chain made for a creature of your size category, you may use your Dexterity modifier instead of your Strength modifier on attack rolls. If you carry a shield, its armor check penalty applies to your attack rolls.

Class Abilities:

ARCANE POOL (Su) (4)
At 1st level, the magus gains a reservoir of mystical arcane energy that he can draw upon to fuel his powers and enhance his weapon. This arcane pool has a number of points equal to 1/2 his magus level (minimum 1) + his Intelligence modifier. The pool refreshes once per day when the magus prepares his spells.

At 1st level, a spell dancer gains the ability to expend 1 point from his arcane pool as a swift action to gain a +10 enhancement bonus to his movement rate and a +2 dodge bonus to Armor Class against attacks of opportunity provoked by moving through threatened spaces for 1 minute. For every four levels beyond 1st, the spell dancer gains another +10 enhancement bonus to movement and +2 to AC against attacks of opportunity provoked from movement.

At 5th level, once per spell dance as a swift action, the spell dancer may use one of the following on himself as a swift action: blur, fly, or haste. These abilities last for 1 round. At 9th level, the spell dancer may instead take a swift action to use dimension door as a spell-like ability once during a spelldance. At 13th level, the spell dancer may instead choose to take a swift action to gain freedom of movement for 1d4 rounds.

This ability replaces the magus’s ability to expend points from his arcane pool as a swift action to grant any weapon he is holding magic bonuses for 1 minute.

CANNY DEFENSE (Ex)
At 1st level, when a kapenia dancer is wielding a bladed scarf, she gains the canny defense ability. This is identical to the duelist prestige class ability of the same name, save that her magus level (rather than his duelist level) affects her Armor Class.

When wearing light or no armor and not using a shield, a kapenia dancer adds 1 point of Intelligence Charisma bonus (if any) per magus class level as a dodge bonus to her Armor Class while wielding a bladed scarf. If a magus is caught flat-footed or otherwise denied her Dexterity bonus, she also loses this bonus.

CLASS SKILLS
A spell dancer adds Acrobatics and Perform (dance) to his list of class skills and removes Intimidate and Ride from his list of class skills.

DIMINISHED SPELLCASTING
A kapenia dancer may cast one fewer spell of each level than normal. If this reduces the number to 0, he may cast spells of that level only if her Intelligence allows bonus spells of that level.

SPELL COMBAT (Ex)
At 1st level, a magus learns to cast spells and wield his weapons at the same time. This functions much like two-weapon fighting, but the off-hand weapon is a spell that is being cast. To use this ability, the magus must have one hand free (even if the spell being cast does not have somatic components), while wielding a light or one-handed melee weapon in the other hand. As a full-round action, he can make all of his attacks with his melee weapon at a –2 penalty and can also cast any spell from the magus spell list with a casting time of 1 standard action (any attack roll made as part of this spell also takes this penalty). If he casts this spell defensively, he can decide to take an additional penalty on his attack rolls, up to his Intelligence bonus, and add the same amount as a circumstance bonus on his concentration check. If the check fails, the spell is wasted, but the attacks still take the penalty. A magus can choose to cast the spell first or make the weapon attacks first, but if he has more than one attack, he cannot cast the spell between weapon attacks.

WEAPON AND ARMOR PROFICIENCY
A kapenia dancer is proficient in simple weapons and in the bladed scarf. A kensai is not proficient with armor or shields and suffers normal arcane spell failure chance when casting magus spells while armored.

WEAPON FOCUS
At 1st level, a kapenia dancer gains Weapon Focus (bladed scarf) as a bonus feat.


Racial Abilities:

ARCANE FOCUS
Some elven families have such long traditions of producing wizards (and other arcane spellcasters) that they raise their children with the assumption each is destined to be a powerful magic-user, with little need for mundane concerns such as skill with weapons. Elves with this racial trait gain a +2 racial bonus on concentration checks made to cast arcane spells defensively. This racial trait replaces weapon familiarity.

ELVEN IMMUNITIES
Elves are immune to magic sleep effects and gain a +2 racial saving throw bonus against enchantment spells and effects.

ELVEN MAGIC
Elves receive a +2 racial bonus on caster level checks made to overcome spell resistance. In addition, elves receive a +2 racial bonus on Spellcraft skill checks made to identify the properties of magic items.

KEEN SENSES
Elves receive a +2 racial bonus on Perception checks.

LOW-LIGHT VISION
Elves can see twice as far as humans in conditions of dim light.


Background:

Kallistiel was raised in a Calistrian temple in Cassomir. As a youth she buried herself in books to sate her thirst for knowledge but also had a martial bent as she was able to witness various duels over the years. When she came of age, however, she was trained to follow in her parent's footsteps as a sacred prostitute of Calistria. Although she performed her duties well enough, Kallistiel found the temple to be too unstructured and wild for her tastes and so left to learn more of the world.

She joined a small Taldan dueling school. This was not a school that taught the typical Taldan Rondelero style of dueling, with the falcata and buckler, but was one that taught combat through finesse and thought. She took to the training swiftly and graduated a top student of the school. Her teacher had noticed both her skill and her thirst for knowledge and thus introduced her to the Taldan faction of the Pathfinders.

Over the years she worked with the Pathfinders, not only in the pursuit of knowledge and artefacts of the past, but also to improve the influence of Taldor on the world stage. Now she finds herself on a mission of the Decemvirate, to explore the ancient city of Tsar. Perhaps she would be able to advance the goals of Taldor in the process.
